As someone who avoids spice, I really appreciate that you explained what your rating is based off. I find most people don't do that and it negates the reason for having a spice rating to begin with.

The cruel prince feels like more traditional farie stories, like the tricksters that people fear to upset. So if you like the more faire mythology it would be good for that.

Lol I’ve read everyone except Acotar under the romance section, I do agree that the one part in Bride made me uncomfortable too 😭😭 but other than that it was pretty funny. I do love all of the books you mentioned
A really nice dark academia fantasy is the raven boys (a 4 books series). It doesn't have spice at all, the characters are about 16 and has nice witchy magic system
Similar to The Poppy War in terms of fantasy and war vibes is The Sword of Kaigen! Great book and gives off major Avatar: The Last Airbender vibes! No spice either for my no spice girlies :)

divine rivals has a love scene but its not graphic. also, the later book of the false prince series has spice
