I picked up the Knob creek barrel proof 120 and another Michters rye today. Love them.
WOW! No can’t play in that arena. Sound enjoyable.
I agree Sara. $80 cork pop.
Did the masters keep lineup ever happen???
Great job guys, I find myself becoming a Wild Turkey guy. Just bought 3 bottles. 101, rare breed, and longbranch.😁
@Bad Santa What is wrong with 101 haha
Fuck these days. Wild turkey has gone from my go to to my damn near only choice. Buffalo Trace prices be willin'
I do have a long time love affair with rare breed
Great review!
excellent!
It's great to hear that this is good, after the revival I was worried that the master's keep series was going downhill. I made the mistake of getting two bottles of revival - it's really not good at all. I've got all four previous releases and 17 and decades are amazing. How would you compare this to wild turkey forgiven?
mepm Forgiven is amazing, but more of what we’re used to. This is an overused term, but Cornerstone is “elevated”.
@@ItsBourbonNight I prefer the term "balls out"
I acquired a bottle of this for the Bourbon Junkies and regretting not getting a second for myself. Would have been the most I ever spent on a bottle and couldn’t pull that trigger. Everyone raves though
Whiskey UA-camrs who aren't creepy old men or the Whiskey Dic!!! I never thought I'd see today. You two work well on screen together
Great video. Just found you. Love what you two are doing, you can tell you have fun with it. I ran out after this video and purchased a bottle. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...it!
Absolutely love this whiskey. Haven't added water to this one. Opened it, loved it, love it even more today! This is our favorite release so far! Also absolutely love the challenge coins, they turned out great! It's interesting to have a "rare/special" actual Kentucky Rye release since a lot of the special releases from people in the rye category have been from MGP before this. Also this may be the first time Chad said "Boom" that I heard Will Forte in his voice. Cheers!
I'll take a Will Forte vibe in my voice any time!
Fantastic vid guys! You did a super job and congrats passing 32K! Keep it up! ❤
I'm a sucka for great presentations. I would grab this solely for the bottle.
Definitely do a line up!!!!!
What is best? Pikesville, Russell Reserve Rye single barrel 104 proof or Cornerstone?
Fucking 280 in Canada! And that is one of our cheaper provinces.....ugh still bought it though, really interested in seeing how it oxidizes after a few months.
new friend here
Awesome video
Never had rye whisky, tempting. Great job.
I was fortunate enough to find a bottle at the Total Wine near me, haven't cracked it yet but all the local bourbon/rye guys in my area were raving about how good it is. Nice to hear your guys thought's since it was such a pricey bottle.
Gonna have to live vicariously through you guys on this. I did, however buy some 101 recently and am enjoying it a lot so far. Gonna be vacationing in KY this Nov (hitting up Louisville, staying in Frankfort and maybe even getting to Lexington), so I'm trying to prepare for all the bourbon/rye I can! Cheers, guys :)
Most likely won't buy a bottle because of the price, but I'll have to try! Love Wild Turkey products.
Would love to see a side-by-side between Cornerstone and Russell's Single Barrel Rye.
Spot on Sarah, I didn’t enjoy it with drops of water so I will keep on drinking my bottle neat. Good review and always enjoy watching you two! Cheers from Alaska! 🔥🦃🥃
189.99 in my area tho?! I’m curious would you guys still get it at that price point?
Sounds like the masters keeps are good. Just bought the Russell’s single barrel rye. Do love WT in general. Used to think it was just “your fathers” drink
LOL $175 - the whiskey makers are loving this crazy market. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. Again, $175 for rye whiskey, amazingly crazy.
Bought Decades and LOVE it. Looking for this one as well.
I'm on my second bottle of Decades. I'll be sad when the last drop is gone.
I’m drooling watching this! Ha! I absolutely LOVE that bottle with the turkey etched in the glass. Very cool indeed.
Saw this an hour ago and didn’t want to take the chance without seeing a review and boom, you two have one up!
Did pickup a Weller Full Proof though!
Well now I’m torn, your review seems more favorable than others I’ve seen. Still, at that price, I’ll probably never pull the trigger anyway and stick with Pikesville, but I am much more intrigued now.
It's worth a good-priced pour at the bar if nothing else!
It's Bourbon Night For sure, and let’s admit it, if I can find a bottle, I’ll probably splurge 😂. Love the channel, you two rock, I feel like I could get a recommendation on facial expressions alone (there’s an idea, a charades whiskey review. Haha!)
Looking forward to trying this. Great review.
You always reminded me of someone and it finally hit me, Paul Teutul Jr. From American chopper. It can be just me though. Any way love watching you guys.
Mouth watering wanting to try this rye.
I have a cornerstone crown royal. Its too sweet like all crown products. I use to love crown not so much anymore.
Nice! This would be a lottery item I’m sure where I’m from.
I would be hard pressed to spend a $175 on such a low rye mashbill especially when you can get for a $140 a Michters 10 year old rye.
I would almost consider doing a side-by-side comparison between this Wild Turkey and the Michter's 10yr rye.
Bourbon Pursuit did it and said the Michter's 10 was better. I did get a Michter's 10 Rye but the price was about the same as the Cornerstone for me. Barrell Spirits single barrel 13 year 100% rye at cask strength and about $110 is maybe a better deal.
I'm not a rye guy but was it worth the price
Only in Kentucky would a marriage between a 9 year old and an 11 year old be acceptable.
I've bought some $150 bottles... if this is good stuff, $175 seems fine. I have a lot of $150 bottles that I have been disappointed by and have clearly been bested by $70-90 bottles. I have to think... a low rye percentage, probably not my jam.
5 drops is kind of a lot for that small amount isn’t it?
I need me a bottle now
Congrats you 2. May your wedding be amazing!
Love me some Wild Turkey. Do your merchandise ship to the Uk 🇬🇧
We've shipped a few things there before, so yes!
Sounds like you guys are getting all the complexity of a good 15 or 18 year old scotch! Your review makes me want to try Rye again but I’ve not heard any review so positive on a Rye...lol.
Can’t find it to purchase anywhere in Ohio. But intriguing...
If "exceptional mouth feel" shows up at your wedding, Sara, walk out. LOL All the best, kids.
Where did you get that hat?
Heads up. Cornerstone is not barrel strength (see your description).
Chad, love you two together. You better marry that girl, young man, before someone takes her away! Someone with a better rye! LOL Man, one more week, right? CONGRATS!
Yes lottery for Virginia. I’m not into rye so I’ll pass. Good luck if you enter.
Waiting for it to get in my state 😭😭😭
Ha Ha Ha Chad! If "We were on a break." did not work for Ross Gellar, what made you think this link was going to work for you? 😃

So I have the challenge coin in my pocket and I'm fiddling with it as if it's a sobriety coin....this is bad....drink bartender!

Is it just me, or does there seem to be an unending supply of bourbons on the market now, every sort of variation and style you can imagine. To me the companies are now starting to become gimmicky purely to push more sales . Are all of the variants legitimate and worth its own line ? Wild Turkey even though it is a favorite of mine seems to be one of the main culprits of gimmick bourbons. They have almost become the Coca Cola of bourbons, where they have so many different lines on the market it is ridiculous.

I have to completely disagree with you on this one. WT has a reason for all their different expressions. Look up some videos of Jimmy, he will break it down for you!
@@whiskyobsessed953 I am not saying all WT is a gimmick, one just has to look at Longbranch . It isnt just WT look at Devils Cut as another example . Surely you dont agree that every bourbon on the market now is there purely just because of its merits ?
notfunny one - that is not only hilarious, but funny raht there...
Must be nice. That’s a lottery item here in Virginia.
First
The sniffing and trying to figure out the notes is so cringy
Tasted this last night! It’s like deja vu all over again! Great bottle from the Russells
