Thoughts and prayers for your brother. Two weeks ago I was able to taste an AH Hirsch 16 Year distilled in 1974. It was on my bucket list. My cousin had the bottle and cracked it open for my nephew’s wedding. He could have sold it on the secondary market for $5,000-$10,000. 🥃

I would generally agree with you on the Rare Breed Rye. I think it's drinkable, but it definitely doesn't deliver on the rye spice hit you would expect to get from a Rare Breed product. It's definitely more lemon peppery, which is a unique flavor profile for a rye that I've only had in one other rye I've tried. It's decent, but there are many other ryes I would much rather be drinking.
