    Hi Christina, I think it's great that you're doing this video. I had pretty bad eczema, and like you, kept trying all sorts of creams, supplements, and treatments by various dermatologists. Some made my eczema even worse! I was fortunate that at the age of 16, a chance meeting with just another doctor to try figure this out got me to do a blood test (called the York blood test), that tested food allergies with my blood sample. What came up was that I shouldn't be consuming dairy or gluten. This completely changed my life as I had been having milk and bread every day. As you mentioned in your video, then moving to nutrition and cutting down food that causes inflammation, lactose and gluten has helped greatly. I'm glad you have decided to make this your UA-cam video focus, as I believe it would help others with eczema. Just wished this video was made like ten years ago when I was suffering, lol!

      Hey I know this is 6 year ago but I'm in the same position and I did ask for a blood test and the doctors won't research it, I'm trying reaching out to other specialists in medical field

    GLUTEN FREE! And dairy free. Ive recently started gluten free i feel a big difference my skin may have improved but im also using natural butters. I feel like Gluten free has done more for me than a vegan diet

    I love having a good skin care BUT good skin starts from within and no amount of cream will give you the same results then having a good diet and then good skin care :) Great video!

    Eczema for 55 years...vegan diet eradicated the problem. Not immediately, but a gradual improvement until it was completely gone. It has been years since I have had an outbreak. Never thought that would happen. I can "cheat" with no effect, but still am mostly Vegan, most of the time. Just one benefit of changing my diet, but a big one,

      Free from carbohydrat food such as bread, rice, grain, peanuts. Avoid glucose . I suffered from skin problem fr 5 yrs. Eat more fruits and vegetables and drink a lot of home made juices.
      If you could find soursop fruit make juice out of it...this will kill your skin disease faster. For skin treatment use coconut oil. As I am living in the tropical country I make my own coconut oil...I mix it wiz cloves ( we hv bunch of them here) and a little fresh tumeric. After 3 - 4 days my skin start peeling off. Try this remedy!!
      Remember avoid eating sugar and meat this a must. Good luck

    Great video! The result of my allergy exams had as main triggers dust mites. I clean my house obsessively but we cant escape from these bugs I guess. So keep in Mind these type of allergens that cause exzema as well!

    • @dlxinfinite6623
      @dlxinfinite6623 6 років тому +1

      We had them too. My baby is very allergic.
      We destroyed dust mites, mold, insects, critters and airborne allergens by using essential oils in a spray bottle...(preferably glass).
      The Final Solution?
      Use Tea Tree Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Pepperint Oil.....along with Coconut Oil as a carrier.
      Spray your sheets, mattress, carpets, drapes several tines a day, or whenever. It's organic and safe. Kills odors and leaves a clean, non-chemical scent.
      It will clear your lungs and passageways too

    I’ve noticed whenever I’ve eaten a large amount of dairy it’s definitely made my eczema flare up and now my diet has been dairy free for quite sometime it’s cleared up in some places, but I’ve now realised that the medication I take contains lactose, does anyone know if even a small amount can cause it? It’s frustrating because my eczema seems to get triggered by so many different things e.g. sweat, lack of sleep, cold weather. perfume/fragrance etc and those things aren’t really things I can control so it’s hard to tell if something is working or not.

    • @silhouette3111
      @silhouette3111 3 роки тому +2

      All of the triggers you listed can be avoided, for cold weather try getting a humidifier since the dry weather can definitely cause a flare up. Switch perfume if you get a bad reaction and lack of sleep is really bad for you general health so definitely prioritize a good night's sleep by turning off electronics at least 2 hours before bed.

    It’s interesting how each person needs their own tailored diet.
    I start eliminating in May and I’m ending up in September with my strict “Celeri/fennel/avocado + white with or shrimp with olive oil and sea salt”
    Olives and cucumber are ok.
    Mct oil
    So no carbs no dairy no red meat no chicken no dark fish no spices to herbs
    It sounds so crazy and not reasonable 😂
    But my skin is saying thank you.
    I put olive oil and lavender essential oil on it.
    I’m looking forward to introduce new food 😊

      I don't take milk but I still suffers from dry skin and eczema from time to time. A while back I also developed KP on my arms so i thought may be I need to take more greens since I only have one serving of vegetables throughout the day (here in my country the meals served meat with very little vegetables)) so I tried aking wheatgrass an/or barley green to make it up. I noticed it helps to reduce and heal some kp. I ran out of those so I need to restock my supply & try for a longer period to see if really helps eliminate/reduce dry skin/eczema.
      Juice is good but I wouldn't recommend you to take too much as I learnt from some doctors juices acrylic triggers insulin to rise quickly.

    Hi Christina! I chanced upon your article a year back (Nov 2015) and was really convicted about gut health and diet change. I suffer from eczema since a toddler. I adjusted my diet and noticed results. After it improved, i went back to my normal diet and noticed lesser flare ups. But not until this year (Nov 2016), my eczema worsened again on certain spots. I am currently adjusting back to eczema-friendly diet again. However, I live in Singapore where we have summer all year round and the weather can be really terrible sometimes.
    Anyway, I would like to ask what kind of coconut oil do you use? Are those for cooking/baking acceptable? Or must it be from drug store? Or so long as it is pure coconut oil it is ok? Thanks for sharing about ur story and healing tips and thanks for reading thru! God bless! :)

    My son has had eczema for a few years. I removed gluten, sugar and dairy from his diet to see the result, but there was zero improvment. For two months he didn't eat gluten, dairy and sugar, nothing changed. Our doctor advised to try dupixent, but I am worried about its safety. I don't know what to do ,how to help him to overcome this frustrating skin issue.

For lunch and dinner i eat carbs like rice, quinoa or potatoes for half of my plate and the other half is filled with veggies. Broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, salad, beans, cucumber, carrot etc. Every day im really full cause of all of the fiber. It took some time but when you know what to eat its really not hard.
