I'm pretty sure it only changed when you entered the weird raging mode or whatever where your (full) ki drained slowly, which made a bit more sense

I love how we get a new Trailer every 1 or 2 Months currently. It keeps the hype up and also makes the wait until release a bit more bearable
This actually exceeded my expectations and I don't say that lightly;
Battle Wear Damage, the Ki Blast particular effects, THE WAY NAPPA'S GIANT STORM EXPLODED THE BUILDINGS IN WEST CITY LIKE IT WAS FIREWORKS, everything about this looks incredible and i can't wait. Literally the only thing i think can be even better is making the actual hits have a louder sound cue so that they feel even bigger.
I don't care if this releases in the winter or even in 2025 and beyond, no matter what happens in my life even if I'm completely broke and dying the next day, the moment this game comes out, i am on it 100%.

His prediction is on point, but the inclusion of Kakunsa already messed up his prediction, which has me conclude - the base roster of this game will be heavily use of DBZ and DBS characters only. Make sense because this two era is the main huge era of DB. For Movies and GT characters, this will mostly be DLC. Maybe some OGDB characters gonna be DLC too...or they just conclude with adding Kid Goku only. As for Broly, not surprised why he is in the base roster because it Broly. Broly was always in the base roster for most DB games before (except Xenoverse and FighterZ since this is the start of DB game try to manipulate microtransactions). Before this it was DBZ Broly, but now they use DBS Broly. DBZ Broly still have a chance to be DLC. Also, don't forget the upcoming Daima series. For sure we gonna get some new characters from this series as DLC as well. As for me, I do hope they consider to use DBH characters as DLC as well. Let be real guys, DBH anime might just be mid-promo stuff, but the likes of Cumber, Hearts, Kamioren, Goku Black SSR3, and Xeno SS4 Vegito will be a great addition to this game.
I have a feeling they organized the roster at the end in a way so you CAN'T predict who's going to be in the final roster.

Tao Pai Pai is a mercenary, not a general. It's so funny how you tried to keep roster organized and they dont care at all but at least we can be surprised now by how many characters from a arc makes it to the game that's kinda cool

probably some characters are organized when they have a lot of form/similar saga like vegeta armor and trunks armor, but singular universes of tournament are just put random where the free space is

5:49 "Ultimate Blast" is the japanese name for "Ultimate Tenkaichi". He was referring to the bombastic effects in UT.
The music change mechanic is straight out of Raging Blast 2.
In Raging Blast 2, the track / OST changed when you entered Raging Soul, and this was customisable. This was also in Ultimate Tenkaichi when you entered High Tension mode, or when the fight was nearly over.
I think it will work really well once you can select OST you like. Tekken 7 & Tekken 8 also have this feature in some form, and it makes fights more dynamic / anime esque IMO
I think the music may have stopped at 3:23 cause of the smoke had Goku hidden. In the old games the music stops when hidden from opponent.

It appears that the little orb with the up arrow beside the blast bar indicates transformations. Both transform with it at 3, causing it to dissappear.
My theory is that it indicates what level of transformation you're capable of at your current blast stock (as that was also spent). After transforming, it never raises above 1 for the rest of the match. This could indicate that both Goku and Vegeta have one more higher transformation each. UI and Blue Evolved soft-confirmed?

I’ll have to disagree with you on the music before the switch. DBZ games had that electric guitar before OPM was thought of. Tenkaichi 2 opening is proof of that. But I do agree that the music change during the full charge is kinda weird

it charges up to 6(depending on the character) using special skills wastes it(usually 1 or 2 at max 3) and so does using transformations(varies how much depending on your current form and which form your transforming into I belive the max was 5 for fusion transformations)
Looks like the R2 Beam Clash Boost is back from BT2. During the clash you can see that Goku's ki meter is pink. And there's a boost icon under the clash meter.
It also looks like the combo system is pretty much the same. I noticed a kiai cannon and heavy smash combo.
Some of the follow-ups look kinda like RB2.
Being forced to lock off when you get hit by an ultimate is back.
Certain defense actions cost blast stocks. Looks like 2 for each action. Makes me wonder if each character has different blast stock amounts like BT3. Goku had the most at 6 and some other characters would 3-5 etc. Vegeta maxes at 5 blast stocks here.

Man, RIP to Globku, he really thought they're going to add Daima Goku huh, Well hey there's a chance they could add him in other cares from that show in at TLC afterwards but as a base roster. Yeah i doubt that any of them again in.
On a related note, I gotta say I really liked how they handled this, It was mad smart of them to show off some parts of the roster at the very end by giving us a lot of different characters to analyze and get excited for, but not so much to point where we know about the rest of the completed cast.
Now we're going to be left speculating of what character could be revealed next and then the cycle repeats,

for those who may not know. the mechanic used for beam struggles in this game are the exact same at least from what i'm seeing to DBZ Budokai 3 when you would initiate a super move on someone and they had to fill up the bar as much as possible to either attack or defend.
Yep, u had to press X right when the bar is full to add power to the ultimate attack and who had the most amount of total bar power added would win. Pretty neat

I immediately noticed the speed too but I think they slowed down the base game because speed characters would be unplayable if tenkaichi 3 was the base speed of the game.

Btw competitive players play BT3 at 120% speed, that’s why this looks slower to you. I feel like SZ is actually faster than BT3 at normal speed
i actually really like the music personally, I never really cared about the music in dragon ball games but this is one of the few times it stood out to me.

Just realized it seems like the small arrow and number icon is for transformations. it slowly rises and you then transform to what number it’s on. So super saiyan blue is the third after ss1 and ssg
If you look at the clouds as they are charging the music doesnt change until both players change the environment around them. I think its a cool change but i would like to hear different music do this. Like some og dragon ball hype music.
I hope they do a burst limit and make your characters fight each other for a bit in a cinematic, then the battle starts.
Idk if anyone already mentioned this but i think Ultimate Blast was either Raging Blast or Ultimate Tenkaichi's Japanese name. They basically said they referenced that for the visuals

@globku, I don’t think that last transformation bar is for powering down or up. Clearly for super Goku and vegeta there using the Dbs broly movie for there design and skills. But Goku and vegeta never transformed past blue in that movie. I think it’s there because of fusion. In the movie although Goku and vegeta never transformed past blue, they did fuse into gogeta. And in the budikai tenkiachi games., you’d always need a transformation bar to fuse, which explains why Goku and vegeta both have 1 last transformation bar. Also it means that the tag team system is back. And so I think that we will have a second Goku and vegeta for super.Because both Goku and vegeta used forms that weren’t in the broly movie, in the super show. Like ssj2 Goku vs Goku black, or super saiyan blue kaioken Goku. And I think they will have 5 forms including fusion because if we look at z Goku who can transform ssj1 -ssj3 and also can probably fuse into gogeta or vegito, he makes a total of 5 transformations. And that may not be the limit to how much a person can transform in this game, I’m going to use it as example. So as 5 transformations as the limit, ultra instinct and blue evolved can both be in the game character. And the forms would be ssj2,ssb,ui, and mui for goku or let him have 2 more transformations allowing him super saiyan and god because of the beerus fight, equaling 7 transformations including vegito, and for vegeta it could be ssj,ssj2,ssb, and super saiyan blue evolved with would equal 5 transformations including vegito. Ssb kaioken is also a thing that can fit but I would think for that more like an ability for blue, like turtles tree of might fruit in bt3. This is just a theory mind you. I love your videos man. See, I think could it be a super customization, because every ultimate has a close up in the characters face with a shadow on top and bottom of the screen, Goku blue and broly full power appear to have two attacks with this close up. Exemple: Goku blue with super kamehameha and blue kaioken spirit bomb (of course could also means blue kaioken as a playable character or a kaioken as a technique like in the og) and broly full power in this trailer has two ultimates
That makes a great deal of sense.
Though, there is the possibility of it being for cinematic reasoning and or referencing the show.
I think one issue I'll have with the game is the visibility between characters and the environment. When Vegeta fell into the shadowy area near the rock cliff, I couldn't see him at all. Hopefully there's an option to add an outline on characters so I can enjoy the game more!

I don't really feel like the characters are slower here than BT3. I just think that the maps are way bigger than BT3 that make it look slower.
They literally said they made the normal speed of movement faster than dashing in the normal game, they are way faster than Budokai Tenkaichi 3 characters

So, ultimate blast is ultimate tenkaichi in the west. They were saying they were taking inspiration for cinematic ultimates and stuff from that game
Last game I ever bought on launch funny enough was Raging Blast, I’m definitely buying this on launch, a lot of people are criticizing the camera which I agree does need some work but I’m not too worried because they specified that it’s still in development and Spike-Chunsoft is actually listening to the fans critic so I think it’ll all be adjusted by the time we get our hands on it hence why they probably still are holding off on an official release date. It’s like they’re releasing these trailer to get our responses to see what needs improvement

Tenkaichi did have a deflect mechanic innnn 2 or 3 it had it. It was busted lmao also the fill the bar was in Budokai 3 and I figured they would do that as well. It looks so good!!

Yeah, I think this deconfirms it's the character select screen. Likely it's just a chart for trailer purposes and the only thing they have planned out is that transformations are connected to the character.
The timing presses for clashes is just what they did in Budokai 3’s ultimate attacks.

Why do the environments look SO starkly different from the characters, it’s like they didn’t even try to integrate the two
They focus all the animation on the character models because they are the main focus of the players and the camera.
Also In certain games most of the background is destructible or the entire map is destructible, So making highly detailed maps are usually pointless if they are going to get destroyed.
Some maps usually have some Easter eggs if you know the show.

My personal theory is that Speed characters will take less meter from dashes while power characters have more durability on counters

I really like the gameplay, something that has me worried though is the Camera angles. Idk if it that's just me though. Does anyone else feels the Camera angles to be a bit off?
It's because characters have static necks, so instead of looking down or up, they just rotate their whole bodies towards the target. This makes movement more restrictive.
Looks too close to the characters. Hopefully they allow you to adjust the camera in the future.
i agree at times it looks good good and makes everything look action packed, but when lets say vegeta is hovering above goku the camera tweaks out a little bit
The older games camera is way more static and auto tracking is slower.
This game camera seems to have a way bigger range because you can sorta look at the fight from a side view.
My main concern with the Camera is how static it is during cinematics.

Game just keeps looking better and better, apart from two or three small things that can be better it’s amazing. Epic character reveals too, wonder what people think of the fact they just pasted characters where ever on the roster screen, rather than having them be in places that make sense, like have the frezia saga characters be together and all the super characters together etc, think I might have to change my roster prediction I made, I don’t see it as a bad thing tho I feel it’s more exciting and unpredictable plus as long as transformations and versions of characters are together it should be fine. Anyways hype. 🐉

Still, I do agree that it is rather bizzare how far and away some characters are from each other. I can let slide the Ginyu Force being far from Frieza and how the ToP characters probably won’t be next to each other. But then why are the Pride Troopers so far apart from each other? It wasn’t like it was like meeting Hit before the rest of his teammates since we saw them in and around the same time.
I guess when we get the next trailer, we can have a better understanding of how they are organizing the grid. We can take a few guesses here and there, but it is still a bit tricky to specifically pinpoint.
Some things I did not like but otherwise everything looks fine. Vanishing Assault seems to be the new "Rush Teleport" from BT3 but... better?
And the ZC seems to have undergone a modernized change.

Honestly I love it but the sound effects aren't hitting it for me I want the classic *CHING* sound we get every time we vanish it was there but it didn't had the Ooofff behind it same with every other sound, the hit sounds, the ki charge sounds, etc it could definitely use some cleaning up and it will probably get better since the game is very far away
