There should be a limit for everything in the gameplay. They have altered the gameplay to fit scenarios which cheapen the gameplay.

I’ve finally came up with an Idea what the NFL can do with their video games: - Get Rid of EA exclusive license - Go the way of Call of Duty (COD has 3 developers that work on their game & has their own title that come out different years (Treyarch, Infinity Ward, & Sledgehammer)) The NFL can do something groundbreaking & make the call that 1 year you get EA to create a game (Madden25), the next year, 2k Develops that NFL game (NFL2K26), & if they can get a 3rd to develop 2027s game (maybe Rockstar or Ubisoft idk), now we have healthy competition, game developers have more time to develop their game cuz they have 3 years to work on it, that will stop the idea of a ‘Roster Update’.
I remember years and years ago when Madden 25 was originally released that it was going to create a headache when the year 2025 came, and I figured EA would create a special edition for this year to avoid having to name it Madden 25. But after seeing EA's tragic descent into being one of the most horrible game publishers of all time, I figured out by the late 2010s-early 2020s that they just don't give a shit anymore and were going to call it Madden 25. Lo and behold, I was right.

I hope they add in players awards and stats as well as injury history to draft prospects it will add realism to the scouting draft..Also Team history for all 32 teams so we can see what each team has done over the course of our franchise. Records for all 32 teams as well. If my RB becomes the all-time leading rusher in my Cardinals franchise it should show we I can go look at that..
Have the Physics & Collision Detection been improved for 25? Are we still going to see players rolling through the legs of other players after tackles? Stepping through bodies lying on the field, feet & limbs clipping through bodies, etc. This killed all immersion in 24 smh.

IMPORTANT: MADDEN went down the toilet when it DISCONTINUED the CREATE A TEAM feature. That’s what people want, not the other petty bs other UA-camrs gripe about like the way a dback is covering a wide receiver etc. CREATE A TEAM made the madden……
Please do a retrospective on MLB Power Pros; it's a massive series in Japan, but it only got released in 2007 and 2008 in the states, and it has an insane amount of depth for a title with such a cartoony art style, there are tons of fun game modes and features that wouldn't be present in any other title, like a visual novel mode where you play through college or the minor leagues with dating sim options, or a career mode where you can buy mansions and private jets and get married and have kids (in the 2008 game). The stats recorded in the GM mode are insane as well and probably surpass that of MLB the show, plus you can create custom teams and export teams from GM mode. You can tell just from playing the game that the developers have massive respect for the sport
The fact that EA has actually decided to put in any amount of effort to fix their game makes me think that the NFL doesn't plan on renewing their exclusive license deal wirh EA once it expires in a couple years. If you think about it, with the growing number of casual fans, continuing gamification of fantasy sports and betting apps, and 2K's efforts to make their own NFL game. It doesn't really make sense for the NFL to keep the deal going.
My favorite part of madden is when it’s in the 2nd or 4th quarter under 30 seconds with no timeouts the qb walks up to the line like they have all the time in the world and the player has to set through the animation
The only thing I was really hoping for in Madden 25 is the ball trajectory stuff to be in there, so the fact that it isn't just makes it automatically a game that I won't bother buying whenever it goes on sale for Christmas or whatever and just wait for it to go on EA Play (which I have through Gamepass).
With the NFL Head Coach lead..could we actually start a franchise before the preseason??? And have a year 0 redraft? I would love to have that year. But hope it just comes in general soon.

I assumed College Football was going to release on PC. Sad. If that was one of the requirements to truly be an advancement, then I will accept that. Hopefully it's good. Getting ahead of myself, but I really do like the idea of College Football being the more advanced, and perhaps more experimental football game, and Madden just adopts the advancements a year or two behind, while it mostly focuses on Franchise and NFL-specific features. Lastly, as somebody who works for a big tech company, change in management doesn't always get immediate results. Things will be better, but it will likely take time for results to truly come. The person who is coming has to be determined and headstrong in changing the current culture surrounding Madden's development.
I hope they make it possible to pick for all teams in the draft. That would make franchise mode 10x better and it should be easy to make it happen! That way users can ensure which prospects go to each team based on needs or positional value. For example, let's say there's a generational QB in the draft and the Jets are on the clock. Normally the CPU would pick a different position because of Aaron Rodgers being on the team but in real life the Jets would most likely pick their future franchise QB due to Rodgers age. Giving the user more control of what goes on in the game makes it more enjoyable even if the gameplay still needs work. If you're a dev reading this by chance please make this happen and I will pre-order today! I guarantee this will be a big deal for your loyal costumers and we deserve this small change please. I just found out about Madden 25 releasing to PS4 yesterday. This took me by surprise given how last year they announced that it was going to be their last year on PS4. Initially I was confused as to why they would release a new Madden game on the older platform and not also College Football, until I thought, "Maybe the College game is an original workup and not just a reskin of Madden?" I guess we'll see. If the older Madden 25 is in the PS Store, does that mean other even older Maddens are as well? I'd like to get Madden '07 if that's the case.
At this point, they should just scrap what they have and released a updated version of a Madden that was on the Genesis. Sure it was a little rough around the edges, but the 16-bit glory provided us with a ton of fun.
Dont get your hopes up for franchise. The guy behind head coach 09 is Josh Looman. He designed CCM in Madden 13. Remember when they scrapped franchise and it still hasn’t recovered today ? I also believe he was the guy behind longshot.

It's just tragic but it wouldn't be so bad if College Football 25 released after Madden cause College Football 25 should be what warms fans up for a even greater game in Madden .... CFB 25 is gonna dominate the sales and player base, but the kinds of features you're leaking for M25 do have me pretty excited. Literally the 3 most in-demand features have been presentation upgrades, new commentary crews, and create-a-team. All seem to be in the game now, which is great.
People are saying how different CFB is compared to Madden, but at the end of the day. They still look similar, the injured animations is the exact same one from Madden. Its CFB with Madden under the hood.
Really noticed in this video how much better the lighting is in CFB25 than Madden 24. would be nice if Madden actually upped their lighting. Lighting can take a good looking game to an amazing looking game
Promising news on Madden, most notably the change in leadership for franchise mode. They are going to have to make some major changes to some of the systems in franchise along with some big improvements to the scenario engine for me to even considering purchasing this game.
If everything said in this video is true, perhaps Madden's dark age is finally coming to a close. In a few years we might have legit good Madden games.
I think in two years we are gonna see the madden Dev team drop their build of the game and take on the college build of the game. They will just reskin that to be the next madden. This might be the only way to truly drop the legacy code and build from the ground up like the dev team keeps asking for.
I hope teams trade up in the draft that seems so obvious and it’s so sad that it’s not in the game also hope this means I can trade a day 3 pick for a starting caliber player for example or at least have it make sense
Josh Looman was the brains behind the great franchise modes we loved and the Head Coach games. You showed him on screen, and his linkedin profile and other areas don't show him working for EA... but maybe it is him? I don't know. i don't trust anyone but Josh from those who have previously worked on the games. Maybe he was hired as a consultant, which is what he lists himself as, and not under direct employ but rather freelance.

Its nice to see that EA is actually starting to at least PRETEND to care about Madden again. It tells me theyre genuinely worried that the NFL might not renew the exclusive license and that they know College Football is going to blow Madden out of the water. Thats why theyre bundling the two games: to artificially boost sales figures.
As long as they continue to release on both generations, don’t expect a good game. They are purposely limiting what they can do so they can sell more copies.

I assumed College Football was going to release on PC. Sad. If that was one of the requirements to truly be an advancement, then I will accept that. Hopefully it's good. Getting ahead of myself, but I really do like the idea of College Football being the more advanced, and perhaps more experimental football game, and Madden just adopts the advancements a year or two behind, while it mostly focuses on Franchise and NFL-specific features.
Lastly, as somebody who works for a big tech company, change in management doesn't always get immediate results. Things will be better, but it will likely take time for results to truly come. The person who is coming has to be determined and headstrong in changing the current culture surrounding Madden's development.
The fact that it took them THIS long to add a "create-a-team" is mind-blogging.

I hope they make it possible to pick for all teams in the draft. That would make franchise mode 10x better and it should be easy to make it happen! That way users can ensure which prospects go to each team based on needs or positional value. For example, let's say there's a generational QB in the draft and the Jets are on the clock. Normally the CPU would pick a different position because of Aaron Rodgers being on the team but in real life the Jets would most likely pick their future franchise QB due to Rodgers age. Giving the user more control of what goes on in the game makes it more enjoyable even if the gameplay still needs work. If you're a dev reading this by chance please make this happen and I will pre-order today! I guarantee this will be a big deal for your loyal costumers and we deserve this small change please. I just found out about Madden 25 releasing to PS4 yesterday. This took me by surprise given how last year they announced that it was going to be their last year on PS4. Initially I was confused as to why they would release a new Madden game on the older platform and not also College Football, until I thought, "Maybe the College game is an original workup and not just a reskin of Madden?" I guess we'll see.
If the older Madden 25 is in the PS Store, does that mean other even older Maddens are as well? I'd like to get Madden '07 if that's the case.

It's been 20 years since the last truly innovative & GREAT Madden (2005). Yes 2006-2009 were great for ps2, but they were built on 2005s foundation.
At this point, they should just scrap what they have and released a updated version of a Madden that was on the Genesis. Sure it was a little rough around the edges, but the 16-bit glory provided us with a ton of fun.
Dont get your hopes up for franchise. The guy behind head coach 09 is Josh Looman. He designed CCM in Madden 13. Remember when they scrapped franchise and it still hasn’t recovered today ? I also believe he was the guy behind longshot.
Do you think it's possible that Madden 25 can adapt the passing from College Football 25 before it release ? It's just tragic but it wouldn't be so bad if College Football 25 released after Madden cause College Football 25 should be what warms fans up for a even greater game in Madden .... And then EA should just make sure both games play the same or similarly cause that makes the most sense
CFB 25 is gonna dominate the sales and player base, but the kinds of features you're leaking for M25 do have me pretty excited. Literally the 3 most in-demand features have been presentation upgrades, new commentary crews, and create-a-team. All seem to be in the game now, which is great.
People are saying how different CFB is compared to Madden, but at the end of the day. They still look similar, the injured animations is the exact same one from Madden. Its CFB with Madden under the hood.
Create-A-Team is all that is needed

Really noticed in this video how much better the lighting is in CFB25 than Madden 24. would be nice if Madden actually upped their lighting. Lighting can take a good looking game to an amazing looking game

Promising news on Madden, most notably the change in leadership for franchise mode. They are going to have to make some major changes to some of the systems in franchise along with some big improvements to the scenario engine for me to even considering purchasing this game.
If everything said in this video is true, perhaps Madden's dark age is finally coming to a close. In a few years we might have legit good Madden games.
I think in two years we are gonna see the madden Dev team drop their build of the game and take on the college build of the game. They will just reskin that to be the next madden. This might be the only way to truly drop the legacy code and build from the ground up like the dev team keeps asking for.
I hope teams trade up in the draft that seems so obvious and it’s so sad that it’s not in the game also hope this means I can trade a day 3 pick for a starting caliber player for example or at least have it make sense
Josh Looman was the brains behind the great franchise modes we loved and the Head Coach games. You showed him on screen, and his linkedin profile and other areas don't show him working for EA... but maybe it is him? I don't know. i don't trust anyone but Josh from those who have previously worked on the games. Maybe he was hired as a consultant, which is what he lists himself as, and not under direct employ but rather freelance.

Its nice to see that EA is actually starting to at least PRETEND to care about Madden again. It tells me theyre genuinely worried that the NFL might not renew the exclusive license and that they know College Football is going to blow Madden out of the water. Thats why theyre bundling the two games: to artificially boost sales figures.

As long as they continue to release on both generations, don’t expect a good game. They are purposely limiting what they can do so they can sell more copies.

For Team Creator is it going to be like the NBA and NHL games with the Expansion Draft? Or will it be like previous madden games with the replacement of a team. And I wonder if they’ll keep the “any team entered” system or will they do the NBA pick a city from the options.

Back when the trailer first dropped for cf25 it showed a steam tab for the preorder. When you clicked the link(on your phone) it took me to the steam app, showed a page for cf25 with a release date in mid/late august. Now I’m sad to hear it isn’t coming, hope it doesn’t stay that way.
