Thanks for the info. The real downside with using this method is that you forego gyro aim with steam input in exchange for haptic triggers. I hope steam updates their input to be compatible with the haptic triggers soon.
We have an official firmware updater, but don’t have official drivers yet; what a mess.

Hey I'm little bit confuse , please recommend me what should I choose for pc Xbox or PS 5 controller?
If you are planning to play titles that have special DualSense support, such as God of war, Uncharted, Marvel’s Spider-Man etc. I’d suggest you go with DualSense. Otherwise, Xbox Series X controller is just as fine

If I disable steam input, the games do not recognize the controller, wired or wireless.

hello, i'm having a very hard time to find if dual sense controller built-in speaker works for PC or not. bcs mine doesn't seem working at all and i dont have PS to confirm wether my controller speaker broke or it is just some kind of limitation to PC. does anyone having the same issue as well?
It is a limitation. There might be a workaround, but it isn’t worth it in my opinion.
@@lacknw hey man! Thanks for replying back. I managed to find out why and its working now. So to be short, I’m not sure if there is any trigger on how to enable or disable the speaker on DS5. itself. I do hv the DS4 app installed on my PC but it doesn’t do anything. Tried the late version of DSX app as well but same thing.
I went to steam to purchase the latest version of DSX bcs the free one we can get on the github is no longer supported. The app is great, it has toggles for you to enable the mic and speaker, and somehow my DS5 speaker was disabled in the first place. So i need to turn it on, but only works if you are connected thru wire to enable this feature
Glad that you’ve found a workaround. I’ve also used DSX at some point, but then decided not to continue using it lest it may cause unnecessary complications.
i hope you can help me with my problem, i did exactly what you did and it kinda don't work, i have death stranding on pc(epic games) but when i launch the game my controller doesn't work not even an unput but in the settings of windows etc it works it even work on fortnite, then i tried opening steam and it works on steam game aswell, idk if its a bug or did i do something wrong but i hope you can give ideas or advice for it to work. thx
I think I found why it doesn't work, I think it's because I have the "normal" game and not the director's cut version, I hope it's that because I'm downloading it now hahaha. I think I would let you known if someone got the normal game for free as well and was wondering ^^
If that does not solve the problem, make sure that you disabled playstation controller support for the game (how you can do it is shown in the video).

Unfortunately I don’t have a link for it, but it is branded Baseus. Looks shouldn’t deceive you, personally I think that it is chunkier than it should be, I wish I had bought something that had a bit more modest look
When opening programs such as dsx or ds4 to play games, some buttons do not work, such as spider man, unable to swing through webs, but when opening the program, play normally

for me the adaptive triggers work perfectly but the haptic feedback is very weak, or only vibrates on one side of the control. in other games with full PC support is also the same, help me please
Unfortunately, that's how it is. I have not had my hands on a Dualsense connected to a PlayStation 5, so I cannot vouch for how the haptic feedback feels there, but on PC, it is quite weak.
Im playing Ghostwire with this ctrler and its haptics are hard. Id say it just hows the game are. Try other game such as FarCry 6

@@arvidssondrago3496 PS3 controller is fine; however, it's ergonomics are way obsolete for 2022. Upgrading to a Dualsense would do a wonder on your hands during your intense playthrough sessions. It has a way better grip and weight balance which enhances the overall feels while playing games. For instance, while I am playing Marvel's Spider-Man on PC with dualsense, swinging feels much much better compared to DS4. The bulk body of Dualsense is designed so well that it transforms vibrations to the whole of your hands, and you feel much more immersed in the game.

How do the software knows how to implement those features in each games?
If the game has native dualsense support, it just handles the controller without any external software, as if you are playing on a PS5

It’s a personal choice I think - but if you never wish to deal with facilitator apps like DS4windows etc. you should go with X.

Actually, you don’t have to do anything perpetually. The whole video aims to tell you that there is nothing in particular you should do, the games themselves pick-up the controller on their own. About DSX, I have tried it, but it did not seem much useful to me. My advice would be buying it on steam and trying it for about an hour, then either refund or keep it.

I guess that’s the generic answer. Have you tried using the controller as shown in the video? Not all games do support these features, only certain few of them

Since Forza Horizon is not a playstation title, it does not natively support adaptive triggers. So through what is shown in the video, you can’t use adaptive triggers etc. in Forza 5. However, there is a third party app called DSX (I might be mistaken about the name, but a quick google search will probably lead you in the right way) which you can use to create a custom profile for dualsense that will allow you to use those mentioned features in titles that do not natively have the support. I am not well-versed in the issue; therefore, I would recommend doing a quick research about DSX

I did everything as you said but Metro Exodus doesn't work. I tried it with Deathloop and it worked perfectly! What could be the problem?
It may have sth to do with your save data, but if I were you I would not bother. Metro Exodus kind of sucks at handling dualsense features (on PC). By the way, it only exists in the enhanced edition, if you have the vanilla game that’s probably why it doesn’t work.

I tried everything you said, but sadly it didn't work for me. the controller works fine, but it detects it as an xbox controller and if i disable steam input it doesn't detect it at all. and for epic also it doesn't detect
that’s an interesting issue… is there any chance that you had previously installed some sort of a driver for gamepads? windows 11 (or 10) does not naturally pick dualsense as an xbox controller
How do you turn off the adaptive triggers off on pc ?
Use an intermediary app like DS4windows (it will make windows treat your device as if it is an xbox 360 controller)

I have a good ps4 controller that works perfectly. Wanted to upgrade to a ps5 controller, tested it at a friends house and have to say that all the vibrations from left to right and and and the feeling is mega and nice, but I find it really heavy, only I don't have a ps5 and would use it on the pc only and play my games 80% on Tastertur, only games like rocket league or survival games. Does every game have these features like on the ps5 qon the pc or only a few games ( so the games on the list ) Because as i see you can play all games on the ps5 with vibration features and adaptive triggers. Is that possible with programs on every game on the pc or even without a program? I just don't see the point in spending money if I don't really get features that I can use on the pc!
It won’t work differently than dualshock 4 in games that do not have features tailored specifically for dualsense. I’d recommend you reconsider buying it after you spend some more time with it at your friend’s house. I also felt it to be a bit too heavy at first, but now I am in love with that sturdiness.
You can use dsx for better haptics and can customise the haptic triggers for different games.

So... I just found out important thing. If You want to play any game on steam DONT use any drivers for controllers. Since I turned off ds4 that works with dualsense it works just fine. Steam supports dualsense without using any drivers etc.
That’s correct; however, the thing is, steam handles dualsense as if it is a generic controller. What I am trying to emphasize in the video is that you should even turn off steam’s own support for dualsense, in order to let the game handle the controller all by itself, without any intermediary drivers.

It vibrates satisfactorily, but I do not think that there is a special adjustment for dualsense. It is good though
Shit. So u need an USB-C cable that doesnt came with controller and need to be long 2 meters or so. Is there anyway to get Adaptive Triggets without USB, just Bluetooth?!!! Any software like DSX (DS5 Windows) will work or not for Wireless Bluetooth conn with Adaptive?!
you can use CtrlUI, it works on BT (trigger rumble)

Then when i desactivate the steam imput it doesnt even allow me to move or do anything (just inside the game)
The video might be a little outdated now - if you have a dualsense and if it is connected to your computer via cable, all the features should be active since returnal is a PlayStation title; when you click on the game (not the play button), the library interface should have a controller icon parallel to the play button; by clicking on it you can see whether steam sees your native controller and lets the game have direct access to it

There is an app called DSX. In the past, when I had tried using it, didn’t like it much; but there is a great chance that is has improved over time. You may wanna check it out

Native games on steam work for me. example: metro exodus, adaptive triggers also work.
But if I go to start death stranding on epic games, dualsense doesn't work anymore. the only alternative is to use dualsenseX (dsx) in xbox360 mode, but the adaptive triggers don't work this way.
If I do as you do in the video, detach the pad from the pc > go to control panel > devices
there is nothing to "remove".
