They are pretty and look like marble, I would write the year on them using the Arteza paint pens in gold, that would look so pretty. The canvas came out pretty too!
what type are the paint pen's are they oil based or some other type? also would you varnish before adding the name and date or after? Thank you in advance, hope you have a wonderful day.
I love the way these turned out they are so beautiful, I love watching all of your videos, you are my inspiration,my go to person. I always make Christmas ornament's for gift's but this year I want to try these, I have a few question's. I'm going to use your recipe paint & flood will that work? I also would like to use polycrylic clear gloss as my sealant, how should I apply it should I pour it on or should I use a sponge brush? Also as far as decorating with glitter or name & date should I do that before adding the polycrylic? Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful day.
That is exactly what I've been trying to figure out! How to epoxy a round surface. Do the ornaments fall over from the weight? Do the caps fit ok over the epoxy? What kind of epoxy do you use? Thank you!
@charlottejensen2864 Hi! Using gloves, I hand coat the ornaments with a THIN layer of epoxy. I do my best not to cover the neck, but a little won't stop the cap from being put back on. I use Stone Coat craft coat - it's my favorite!
Quick question, I have tried different consistencies and mediums but there are times the paint slides on off the plastic. I've experienced it with glass vases/cups as well. Any tips?
Unfortunately I don't have time to watch this one to be sure, but I THINK she went over that in this one ua-cam.com/video/SxxgdPZen60/v-deo.html If not, I do apologize...
Can you please show the ornaments dry in one of your next videos? I just tried this with artist loft premixed paint and unfortunately, they turned out horrible. Not sure if one of my colors was thinner than the other, but they basically muddied together and lost all the color!
@@MixedMediaGirl thanks for responding! Yes, I’ve watched these! I’m obsessed with your videos! Haha. I am not sure why mine turned out horrible. The lines weren’t kept, and they don’t look opaque at all! I will keep trying though. Figured I’d try a different paint next time in case that was the issue!
Hi always look for Christmas decorations that are not the traditional colors like plum turquoise teal silver which are also the colors of my house and I have at least six Christmas trees all different looking and one real one in the living room to decorate. I cannot wait to get started to do this but I would prefer glass. Do you know where I could get glass blank ornaments like that because I've looked Around and I can't find any
Good morning hope your day is going well. I HAVE A QUESTION WHAT DO YOU USE TO CUSTOMIZE YOUR ORNAMENTS LIKE IF YOU WANTED TO PUT A NAME & DATE ON THEM? AND ALSO DO YOU CUSTOMIZE BEFORE YOU SEAL THEM OR AFTER? Thank you in advance.
You can use various things to customize them and if you seal them first or second depends on how you customize them. You can use a paint marker and just write on them, in which case I would do that first, then seal them. If you want to use vinyl lettering I would seal them first, then seal them again after :)
Paint to waste! I tell ya. I’m watching trying to figure out how to avoid wasting all that paint that drips down on the pad. I need to have ornaments underneath the top ones. 😁🥴
I love the funnel idea over the canvas!!!! So cool!
I never even thought about using funnels for ornaments!!!!!! Fantastic idea. I am definitely going to try that when I can get painting again
These are amazing, congrats on the TV competition, good luck
I can’t wait to do this with my grandkids. Love them

Maybe someone below can answer my question's. Mixed media girl might be to busy which I can understand.😃Hope you all have a wonderful day.
👍👍
James 😁
I've done these for several years but NEVER thought of the funnels!
UPDATE: Bought some funnels!
Had an idea while you poured these, you could put the paint inside the ornaments then turn them over in the funnels to paint the canvas.
When should I add glitter, after I'm done pouring?
Beautiful 😁❤️x
How long does it on average take to dry?
About a day
Those are pretty but I would like to see jewel tone colors.
Use the skin that's on the table and funnels and use them in your mixed media
I'm 98% sure she will... she rarely has waste 😊
Where did you get those silicone funnels
LoliVefe :) lolivefe.myshopify.com/discount/MMG10
I found that varnishes can stick to each other if accidently placed side by side when storing. So all of mine are epoxied
Do you dip it in epoxy or paint it on?
@@richesinglory9263 with gloves I rub a light coat on, set them on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and let them dry for 24 hours.
@@TDFLM Thank You!!

I'm not sure, I haven't really had that problem. Do you clean them before pouring? Also do you use any kind of silicone or oil?
Are these ready to pour paints
yes
Approx how long did you wait before adding a sealant onto the ornaments?
A few days is sufficient
Have you done bloom technique on ornaments before?
How do you figure out how much paint you need for just a canvas?
Unfortunately I don't have time to watch this one to be sure, but I THINK she went over that in this one

Uh oh! Wait now. I see you have a canvas underneath . Now how will you use that?
I sell my art

Sure, though I do have several videos with those specific paints that show them dry :) ua-cam.com/video/yfBPo51EuCQ/v-deo.html

What if you pour into the ornaments 🤔
She has done that, I am not finding the vid right now 😢 but they usually end up all "muddied" *sigh*

Karen, I found some at Hobby Lobby 😊
I have seen some at Michael's
Very pretty...seems like a waste of paint when they looked so pretty after the first pour.
Ok

No paint gets wasted 👍
I tried this it’s a waste of paint for me.
You don't need to waste paint 👍
How to waste paint!!
No paint wasted whatsoever
Where did you purchase the funnels?
