Also, why are people traveling with ammunition? That's just dumb!!
Probably using the same bag for everything. Didn’t clean it out
Honestly this scares me that these gun owners are so careless
@@raydonovan9013 , try it, let us know how it works out, in 12 years. LOL
It doesn't scare you that the TSA employees were so careless?
@@raydonovan9013 You're not projecting a very positive image of firearms owners right now.
It scares me that they are able to get these through TSA. What if these were terrorists with a 3d printed plastic gun concealed in your waste that don’t set off the metal detectors that TSA pre people go through? Remember, TSA pre don’t go through body scanners. The fact they can get ammo through is scary…
@heyaisdabomb there no 100 percent plastic gun.
A father of young children who can't keep track of his ammo should be a red flag for CPS.

SO MANY careless gun owners, and with children...
Law is law no matter what country you’re from. Sorry
Here is what I do not understand. A lot of people are saying it is an honest mistake. They use the same bag to hunt and travel with. Do they know you can also be checked for explosive powder on your bag or hands? I have been checked at least 5 times and I don’t hunt. These guys aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed. Get another bag.
This part! If you're using the same bag to haul guns and ammo that you use as a carry-on on a trip, you're not the brightest bulb in the box.
who leaves ammunition just laying around... fools... are these some of those Responsible gun owners I keep hearing about..
It's an honest mistake officer. I went to Columbia last month and I forgot to take the cocaine out of my bags.
That person wife have guts to say that carry live ammunition to another country is minor offence , another country laws didn't apply to them , just like American laws didn't apply to non citizens .
Her yt privilege is showing
I'm a lawful resident not a citizen and I can assure you that US laws apply to me -have a great day
You know these are probably the same ppl who thought 💭 Brittney Griner should do 9 yrs for an empty vape cartridge.
Careless owners. How do you not know there’s bullets in your luggage? You’re visiting other countries with different laws, you’re not traveling to a different state within the country. 😂
Easy, you had a box of ammo in your carry bag for a hunting trip. A few small cartridges fell out and got lost under the bottom section of the bag.
@@user-vx7vi3vq1c when you pack your luggage, your should be TSA at home. Before i put anything in, I take everything out damn near holding the luggage upside down and shaking it and running my hands through EVERY pocket. It’s negligence not putting away his bullets from his last trip.
@@DillyDabblez Absolutely true. But the police in Turks & Caicos should have enough common sense to see a few cartridges was a mistake and not a smuggling operation.
@@user-vx7vi3vq1c the law has been in effect since 2020. Actually Americans need to be aware of other countries laws they’re traveling too. Stop looking to blame someone else for their incompetence.
The way I see it is when someone has a “few stray bullets” in their luggage as they are LEAVING the T&C then how are they to know you didn’t have a lot more with you when you came to the island and potentially distributed, used, or sold ammunition there? It’s NOT ALLOWED there, period…. And I bet they don’t have shooting drills at school, churches and jobs BECAUSE no one is armed…Wow! What a concept! I hope T&C “hold to their guns” and treat this as the crimes they are in their country. You have to respect the sovereignty of their nation trying to prevent gun violence. Being lazy, not looking at the laws and being forgetful is not a defense. I hope it’s not 12 years, but a few good months in jail will really teach them about international travel, gun safety and the US impact on the world for our gun stubbornness . Owning guns is a dangerous privilege here in the US, we see results of that every day. So this is a warning to do your part, our children deserve better.
America loves their guns
Too much.
No, we hate bad guys and love our families. Our country is being invaded and violence is coming with it. Cops won’t get there in time to save you. You can do nothing with a bullet. He could throw it at someone. Whopee. Only criminals have guns when they take them from citizens.
texass
Nope, not ALL Americans
Yep but other countries don't so folks need to follow the rules
As an American I am shocked at how many people are walking around with loose bullets in their bags. This is the 4th one just in T&C. Who else has ammo on them? In the supermarket, at the gym.
i am really tired of Americans who travel abroad and get caught up in breaking other sovereign nations' laws launch a crying campaign over their misdeeds. If you are a gun owner and have ammo around, how cavalier do you have to be to not be able to empty your bags of the weapon and ammo (makes me wonder about their safety with their weapons around their families)? Hope T&C handles this in the way that makes the lesson stick.
m a legal gun owner but I get why they take it very seriously over there. The island only has 50k ppl…if they never took action they’d just have ppl running guns and ammo into the country left and right. Next thing they know the country has an armed group that could challenge governance
Why are you packing your bags with ammo ? lol 😂 lol 😂
What is wrong with these idiots? Ammo on a trip? Why? Sounds like they are looking to blame someone else for their mistake.😊
Relax!
They didn’t mean too a couple stray rounds like it’s hard to see those if you were looking through
How did he get through American checks at the airports.....???

Other countries don’t care about our constitution 😂😂😂. Oh well. 12 years is excessive but shouldn’t have been so careless.
12 years is pretty lenient for that crime and since he is a foreigner they will probably try to keep him alive. Ignorance is no excuse of the law. Having a prestigious job should not make this person any better than anyone else. If he didn't want to do the time then he shouldn't have done the crime.
Why would other countries care about our constitution?
Sorry for your possible imprisonment--I hope you get a break. But I don't understand not knowing where your gun or amunition are at all times.
Sorry why??? Do you feel bad for the illegal immigrant in the US getting arrested for fighting cops??
No you don't
You brought this on yourself. You're paying the price for being irresponsible.
But Americans aleays think if they make some noise in U.S media their Gov will just get them out of the mess they got themselves into. No accountability.
Our gun culture is hard for the rest of the world to understand. Our non stop shootings and the leading cause of death in children being a gun shot is just a big part of America's love affair with guns😮
Is there a black market for ammo in T&C? Barter items?
Clean your luggage before and after every trip, especially before leaving the country- not complicated.
As a Canadian, it boggles my brain that Americans feel so entitled to carry animation, like it’s a normal everyday requirement. 🙄
As an American, I can assure you that I don't carry animation around every day. Not anime, not manga, not cartoons...😂
Yes yt Americans do feel entitled in the US they walk around in the open with guns and no problem
Why would you want to put ammo in your luggage? I just don't get it. Some people never learn.

How does TSA miss bullets in baggage? In an x-ray nothing would be more pronounced than a bullet, other than the full silhouette of an actual firearm. With so many of these arrests, I was beginning to wonder if they were being set up, but I guess some people have loose bullets rolling around like loose change.
It's no set up. These gun owners were reckless for flying with ammunition. It's the fault of the traveler, not the TSA.
@@718guybk I agree. I can grasp being casual about ammo in the home, but having loose ammo in bags when you are going to another country is absolutely boneheaded carelessness.
Nah respect their laws, DO THE TIME... no if's or buts!
It was by accident lol wtf
@@micahaustin1704how do you know it was an accident? Americans have been smuggling illegal guns and ammunition into Caribbean countries for years that why Turks upped their penalties. These guys may just be testing screening to bring in bigger shipments. Who knows.

Mistake?
He broke a law that prohibits him from possessing guns and ammo in the Turks and Caicos. The end!
Just so lucky officers never found the loaded hunting rifle in the checked-in luggage, left there by an honest mistake.
Bruh this is embarrassing. PEOPLE! Read the damn laws and check your luggage before you leave the country.
Do you read every law for each country when you travel? Every single law?
@@user-vx7vi3vq1c You look up what’s permissible for travel of said country and what the punishments are if you fail to comply. Then check your luggage thrice. Here’s an example. For instance, cannabis is legal in my state. If I decided to travel to another state, I have to check if it’s legal there. I also check the airport policies so as not to get slapped with cuffs or a fine if anything is found in my luggage. So, I don’t check every law, no. I check what’s legal for travel. Other countries don’t have an outrageous number mass shootings a year like we do.
@@Lunasent the problem is these police are too stupid to differentiate between an international smuggler and a tourist who made a dumb mistake.
Turks and Caicos will lose a lot of American tourism over the ignorance of their police.
@@Lunasent This has nothing to do with mass shootings.
@@user-vx7vi3vq1c I never said it did. It was just an example as to why other countries are stricter on their gun laws than we are. There’s an old saying, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”. Their country, their laws, their rules. It is 100% on you to be responsible for what you’re bringing to another country. It had to do with someone not being responsible with their personal belongings when containing ammunition and not checking what’s prohibited. Why these bags were not checked properly at our TSA before they left the States is the better question.
do they check in their BRAINS too? or what? "shake the bag" for your LIFE FUTURE ???
A little shimmy not shake
What the heck??
Well, that's one way of controlling the US population. Let's see how many more geniuses sign up for the 12 year program when they planned to go to Gilligan's Island for a 3 hour tour.
We don't learn fast.
How does one mistakenly have ammo rounds in their bags? Amerikkkans, are you ok
Americans need to take responsibility for own actions. You can be irresponsible and stupid in America as we have a death wish. Other countries take guns and ammo seriously as they are not toys as so many Americans who scream about their rights do. Yes, I’m a gun owner, been handling guns since I was 8 or 9, my little bro even younger… but we take ow worship seriously, we don’t leave guns or ammo laying around or loose in bags… take it serious and stop being irresponsible is all it takes. I have separate bags to take to range vs bags I carry around…
Why is the punishment absurd?
Remember January 6, 2021, if folks would bring guns and ammo to the Capitol to overthrow the government, they could very well do it in a small, predominantly black island country. The airlines do not prohibit firearms being checked to leave 🇺🇸 and TSA checks are not always thorough; and, luggage is not checked upon arrival to a foreign country (which should be considered, perhaps), only on departure. Trafficking of firearms/ammo into foreign countries could take place, that ammo may have mistakenly been left in the duffel bag from trafficking in T&C, not deer hunting. Regardless, it’s on them, accidental or intentional - do the time, play the fine; your family will survive, they’re in America - designed for them, by them.
Right because the family can move to Turks and Caicos because the husband's are not in jail they can't leave the island
If it's an honest mistake, big shout out to the Turks and Caicos for enforcing the law where TSA refused to, or were too incompetent to.
but prosecutors in the Turks and Caicos, surprise, surprise, don't start from the premise that it was an honest mistake.
and they don't in USA either, honey.
Can they keep them?
You can just look at this guy and you know just last year he was posting "if you can't do the time dont do the crime" all over his social media!
But yet you have college kids protesting and not being held accountable for their actions.

They have to be smuggling it.
Did he forgot to check his luggage before travels ?
Mandatory minimum up to 12 years? No up to. Mandatory.
An American woman was busted with bullets at the Providenciales International Airport while leaving Turks and Caicos Islands today, Monday, May 13th, 2024, The SUN can confirm.😮
That's ridiculous. Discernment runs on the low side.
The US State Dept issued a warning back in Feb 2024 to check your luggage for ammunition, So what is the problem? Other countries have laws/rules FOLLOW THEM,
Maybe the airlines can help by reminding travelers to that country at the counter? Her husband is at the MERCY of a foreign jurisdiction, she should choose her words more carefully. The US wasn't able to broker citizens out of Thail jail when other people stuffed drugs into their bags or Singaporean canning when the kid vandalized.
Why These ppl are GROWN,why does Mom (the airlines, TSA) need to remind these GROWN Men what to do
How does this happen twice this seems more of an intentional operation rather then slight mishaps🤔
I think dude was set up. Cause i still dont know how was he able to make it threw TSA. They need to do a investigation on that airport.

Damn 4 already, Turks and Caicos must be hitting the jackpot with these American mistakenly getting ammos found in their carry-on at the security check of their island.
Caribbean countries have been inundated with illegal guns and ammunition, ALL from America. That's why the laws are getting tougher.
You cannot have ammunition in your luggage in an airport.
But, you can bring guns, ammunition, bombs, drugs, slaves, and anything else into the U.S. as long as you illegally enter. And, certain people will pay you to do so.

Yes, you should always make sure that your luggage has no contraband before you pack. Also, what really surprised me that TSA, dif not pick up the ammo while screening luggage. Although thr traveler made a serious error, the TSA, should bear the responsibility also. Bob

Twelve years is not too bad. It could be much worse. Get yourself a nice pen and some stamps because the next decade will test your relationship. After the twelve years is up you can pick up right where you left off. Try not to travel to other countries and break the law. If he was a black woman in the WNBA he would be okay but unfortunately this one is going to be in jail for 10 to 12 years. Like I said it is not that bad. As long as he doesn't get attacked too much he is really getting a good deal on this one.
