It could be somebody from outside the country but this is another case where not everybody should be allowed to own a gun. Just because someone isn’t a Criminal it doesn’t mean they should be able to legally obtain a gun. Some of these gun laws were written before we actually had cars and it’s 2024 with the same old laws that just allows anybody with a clean record to get a gun license. the problem is that its the confusion and setup of the scammer. You have two elderly and most likely very confused and very old people with physical and likely mental conditions. that poor lady didnt know the death trap that she was walking into and that POS scammer just got away with it. there needs to be further action with scammers and how easily they are able to fake their identity and scam people.

He should have called the cops. He's like those other 2 old white males that shot someone that showed up accidentally at their homes - eager to shoot someone.
I'm definitely sure skin color and being elderly has nothing to do with why she was technically shot. Common sense will tell you that if not history or statistics. If we're all making assumptions here then we can assume the shooter was confused and felt threatened as well.

Well, yeah. But it sounds like someone was torquing him up pretty hard. That poor woman found herself in the middle of some heavy drama. That's just horrible what happened.
I don't completely believe that. Regardless of man, woman, black or white, cops almost always scrutinize deaths, especially shootings. I'm willing to bet that he would have been charged (rightfully IMO) anyway - even without the dash cam footage, it's obvious that the woman wasn't that spry and most likely didn't present a deadly threat to him. That coupled with the fact that she wasn't armed, meant that she wouldn't have presented a deadly threat to him and thus his deadly force response was not justified.
I don’t care about how “scared” this old monster was. She is an elderly woman who can barely walk and he follows her outside and shoots her. He needs to go to jail for the rest of his life. She’s the only victim in this scenario.

Accused because the legal process has yet to happen, thus "innocent until proven guilty". However, in court, I'd wager his lawyer will argue that being old, being pursued in a scam, etc. is a reason against the accusation of murder. I still will hold my judgement because of the context and circumstances concerning the events of that day that may explain the state of mind of the old guy.
I see that there are several folks here trying to justify this murder while simultaneously pretending NOT to be. This is not complicated. You have a victim who was elderly and disabled, unarmed and posing no threat whatsoever to this man. She is trying desperately to get away from this man while he pursues her with a gun, presumably all the while trying to convince him that she has no idea what he is talking about. He steals her phone from her and then shoots her when she tries to get it back, then shoots her twice more as she fought for her life. He then lies to the police claiming that she was trying to rob him when A, he had no evidence of her involvement in the alleged scam he was allegedly dealing with, B, she never tried to rob him while she was there, and C, even if she HAD been involved in a scam against this man, which she wasn't, he doesn't get to rob HER and then shoot her to death. I don't completely believe that. Regardless of man, woman, black or white, cops almost always scrutinize deaths, especially shootings. That coupled with the fact that she wasn't armed, meant that she wouldn't have presented a deadly threat to him and thus his deadly force response was not justified.

Accused!?! That’s murder!!! She’s clearly trying to get away from him!!!
Accused because the legal process has yet to happen, thus "innocent until proven guilty".
However, in court, I'd wager his lawyer will argue that being old, being pursued in a scam, etc. is a reason against the accusation of murder.
I'd wager he'll get a 2nd degree murder charge personally though. It's not pre-meditated, and even if he is senile, he shouldn't have a gun if he's not mentally capable of proper use. Thus, regardless how you feel, he wrongfully took a life.
We'll see how the courts play out though.
@@ZaneBlalock 100% agree with everything you just stated. Very well said. Notice that the old man lied and said she tried to rob him in order to justify the shooting. He just thought he would get away with it if he said this. Thank goodness this lady had enough sense to walk in front of the camera to show him following behind with a gun. In truth he was the one trying to take her phone after pointing a gun on her. So he was robbing her! This poor woman died fighting for her life not understanding why this man was shooting her.
Not justifying the shooting but he did not lie. He was told to give money or he and his family will be killed/harmed. A woman shows up to get the "package". It's within the realm of possibility that he really thought that this was the same group threatening his and his family's life for money.
Again not justifying the shooting. The caller who threatened the old guy and arranged for the Uber rider/old lady to pick up the package is guilty of setting up this tragedy.
I would reserve my judgement for this guy until the trial or until more details come up. Context is key here in understanding his frame of mind.
It’s not a lie by the older man that he thought he was getting robbed at first. Someone placed a request with Uber for her to go and pick up a package from the guys house. I don’t know if she knocked or just grabbed a package on the porch because it’s not shown

In fact, he called again when the police was there, probably to ask if he gave the package/money to his "associate". Again orchestrated by one guy.
Tragic event.
That is called MURDER. So you can talk all you want about "reserving judgment". "Reserving judgment" is for a JURY, during this man's trial, unless he pleads out, and there may be mitigating factors brought up, but this man clearly committed murder.
That's Murder. He could of called the police. He should be charged and whoever was behind the scam should be charged
