    I just got the Turbo Blaze and the first thing I cooked in it was a bacon wrapped filet mignon. It came out great! While reading the white user manual I noted that the Turbo has 360 degree airflow. So they recommend using the crisper tray to take full advantage of that. IMHO That seems to be the reason why there is no shake reminder. I am so happy to see this is your new fave because I already love it and it took me a week to decide on this one 🤣

    I deeply miss my basket that I could remove from the “basket” but loooove my dual burner Corsori and it’s ALL THANKS TO YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR COMPARISONS❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼‼️‼️‼️‼️
    I gave my 1st Corsori to my oldest when I got the dual burner and like I said I miss the ability to take out the basket, that’s the only thing I would change about the dual burner Corsori

    Really like the Cosori Pro 2. The shake button is a plus, and turning is not a big chore. Only drawback is cleaning all those "fins" in the basket. If it ever goes belly-up, might consider getting the Dual Blaze; but would try to get the tray for the Dual Blaze.
    Love these videos, have learned so much from you. Keep them coming!

    I'm glad I purchased the Cosori Pro II. I like the display and the shaker button. Don't need higher temps or fan speeds. It works perfect for me, and I really like the full size basket. They could make a smaller Pro II and that would be a good improvement, but nothing else needs to change in my opinion.

      @@empoweredcooks You’re more than welcome Cathy…I’ve been telling lots of people about you and your experience/reviews on air fryers. I was looking at smaller ones to begin with…I researched for a month or more. I found your site and realized you were the most knowledgable person I’d seen online re: air fryers. I listened to what you had to say and made my mind up from there. I pretty much knew I’d buy a Cosori, and after hearing all the pros and cons of each one, I decided on the TurboBlaze 6.0. I have the duel blaze and am enjoying it very much. The comparison of the 2 grills are pretty much the same being that there are wider slots in the middle of both. I also find the duel blaze is easy to clean. I made pork belly bites in it today and honestly clean up was a breeze. No preheat or shaking food. But I have only owned my duel blaze for 3 days. So far I have made breaded chicken tenders, pizza, garlic bread, meatballs and pork belly bites. I was actually thinking today to purchase a second Cosori so that shows how much I love air fryers.

I put avocado oil on the outside of the bread and it browns great. Santa should be bring me a Turbo Blazer for Christmas. 😃. Can’t wait for Christmas. Blessings ❤️🌺

    Ok, I have the dual blaze and love it! First off, if you give your dual blaze a couple extra minutes to preheat, it works even better. That's common sense to me. Also, the dual burners have really made a big difference compared to my last air fryer I had. Food cooks more evenly now. I use mine a
    Literally like a big oven, I make casseroles., cakes, brownies, etc. I put oven style dishes in it to bake things like you would in a regular oven. It doesn't smoke up, or, heat up the kitchen like the regular oven does. The display...I have heard several complaints that it's not lite up, or easy to see. What? Mine is lite up as soon as you turn it on, and the display hasn't been a issue for me, and I'm only 5'2". I have no experience with these other ones, but for me, I love my dual blaze.😊

    • @MelsCardCorner
      @MelsCardCorner 5 місяців тому +2

      I absolutely love my Dual Blaze, too!! I will often preheat it for a few minutes as well, depending on what I'm cooking. I hope Cosori will come out with a replacement insert similar to the one in the Turbo Blaze. My only real complaint with the Dual Blaze is the insert. That having been said, the insert in the Dual Blaze is still a lot better than the insert in the 4 qt which is absolutely HORRIBLE. It has raised finger grips in the center, so it's impossible to sit anything but tiny ramekins flat in that model. If I could get a nice flat insert like the one that in the Turbo Blaze, my Dual Blaze would be the perfect air fryer (well, for me anyway).

       I've seen some videos out of the UK where the cooks are making nice nine inch cakes, sometimes with parchment paper instead of a baking pan, in the tray of the DualBlaze. I like that and also the deeper tray.
      I have to fool with covering the cake with aluminum foil in the Pro2 and really have to watch the cake through the cooking process. Maybe I've just never gotten good at it.
      I'd like to avoid getting an air fryer toaster oven and not miss having one.

    I have a TurboBlaze and still flip certain foods. Just press the pause button, flip the food about halfway through the cooking cycle and resume. I think any new unit will have a slight learning curve. I have a Pro LE 5 qt that I have been using daily for a year. That unit is the closest to the TurboBlaze in function so It was pretty easy to get used to. IMO the crisper plate models are so much quicker and easier to clean that I would never want a basket type again.

    I went back and looked at the bacon display and now realize the first basket you showed was the dual blaze bacon after it was cooked. I have the dual blaze air fryer and I don't use the tray when cooking bacon, as it only leaves a minuscule amount of bacon grease, just enough to fry an egg in. Love your videos.

    • @SherlockFoams
      @SherlockFoams 5 місяців тому

      Can you fry eggs directly in the bottom of the air fryer? Like to where the yolk is still kinda soft?
      I haven’t purchased my air fryer yet, but that would be amazing if I could fry eggs AND bacon right in this one appliance! Especially since it makes such a mess frying eggs in bacon grease on the stove (grease popping and splattering all over the counter tops).

    Cathy I would like to thank you for your youtube channel .... and one thing I would like to say is you are absolutely right about getting a larger air fryer than you need. I bought a smaller one and within a week or so was thinking ... should have gone bigger. I have just bought this ... I think cosori are becoming more popular now in the UK ... as I wanted to do whole roast chicken, do scones, do a lot more with an air fryer and I think this is the right choice for me. I love cooking and have adapted many recipes from the oven to the air fryer including mushroom shawarma which is divine and i love doing my own potato wedges which I have done for years ... salmon with roast tomatoes and asparagus and yes I am afraid I do like my broccoli done in the air fryer ... I love it crispy ... but each to their own ha ha ha ha !!! I am looking forward to doing homemade pizzas and perhaps breads and cakes too ... but anyway ... thanks very much for your inspiration ... much appreciated and carry on the good work

    Thanks for another great comparison video! Were the cooking results really as good withe the turbo as with the others? It seems like the turbo is different enough that the recipes need a little more tweaking and experimentation? Perhaps, withe the different technologies in the dual blaze and the turbo blaze, they are trying to see what sticks for consumers before they go ahead and make an official “Pro III” with what they determine are all the best features. The lack of a shake reminder in the turbo is baffling, but the different fan speeds are interesting at least in theory, while the ease of use, ease of cleaning, small profile (yet, large surface area basket), and the ability to dabble in dehydration before going in on a dehydrator are beg selling points for me.
    All of these seem to have great things about them, though, and sounds like any one will do a great job.
    Still curious to see how the newer Philips air fryers stack up, namely the Essentials 3000 series XL 6qt, and the Premium XXL with Smart Sensing technology. My guess is that they cook well, but are harder to clean.

  • @nicolasmith1460

    Great video. It will be popular in the uk as cosori has just come in at the end of last year. A couple of Uk Utubers are covering it and they’re selling like hot cakes.
    I was a bit disappointed with my dual blaze. Nothing seemed to brown as good as last air fryer.
    So I then preheated it.
    And also turned things.
    And voila!
    So I’m not sure if the dual blaze is that special and it does need preheating and some things still need shaking.
    But…. I do love the bottom heater for doing a full English breakfast in one drawer. I’d have it for just that meal alone!
    But my nose is over this turbo blaze. …. But thought I’d wait because something else will be coming soon!

    I'm new to air frying, and in my opinion, there's no contest between deep frying chicken parts or fast food fries in oil, and air frying them - deep frying is definitely superior taste-wise. But I got weary of dealing with all that messy oil...and with the unhealthy aspect of it. So I picked up the Turbo Blaze. I cook four thighs at a time skin-on placed on a paper liner (made for this fryer and sold in packs of a hundred) at 17 minutes per side at 385F with no preheating. The liner keeps the rendered fat contained. Yeah, I sure do miss the taste that deep frying imparts...but it's time to turn over a new leaf, and I'll never look back...sigh.
    Same with the Ore-Ida fast food fries - just not quite the same. 11 minutes at 405F - no preheating, and no flipping. I just leave the paper liner in the fryer after cooking them, and re-use it a few times if cooking nothing in-between times. It's a trade-off between convenience and taste, and at this point in my life, convenience wins. I just carefully remove the paper liner and fold it up with the fries inside when they're done, and dump them in a shallow bowl, and then place the liner back inside the fryer. Cleaning up is pretty much non-existent. No greasy splatter to have to contend with, and no bottom burner to worry with.
    Love the bright all-touch controls and their readability (big) and simplicity. No fuss, no muss. But you gotta make sure you don't scratch up that big screen by setting anything on top of the fryer. And Cosori got it right by toning down the sounds, which are rather pleasant.

      @@shirleystuhmer4005 I ended up going with the turbo blaze. I really like it's compact size and it seems to be doing a good job. I'm following the times in the book they provided and it seems to slightly overcook things which is frustrating. So I am playing with temperatures and times and once I get that right I think it's going to be quite a good machine. Glad I did not get the dual blaze because I really didn't want a large machine and this crisps up pretty well. I have the dual blaze, and though it's larger than the turbo blaze,l, I chose it for these reasons:
      - The dual heating element means no flipping
      - There is no pre-heat. It's calculated into the timing
      - It's as close to set it and forget it as I have found. No need to interact with the machine repeatedly. Put your food in, set it, turn it on, and walk away. The app notifies my phone when it's done. Being disabled, I can go back and lay down without having to stay in the kitchen any longer than necessary.
      I was also a bit concerned with the faster cooking speed of the new turbo blaze. It sounds good, but cooking time and especially the last couple minutes can be tricky with any air fryer. Food can go from ready to overdone quickly, so faster cooking speeds would likely be less forgiving until you gain experience. Plus, I didn't want to review and adjust all the air fryer recipes I already had.

    I received my Cosori turbo blaze last week. At first I loved it, found it easy to use, the interface is very responsive and pleasant, the alarm sound is gentle, and it’s fan is not loud. I washed the grill plate carefully with a microfibre cloth and washing up liquid every time I used the air fryer, used silicone utensils etc. I placed the food directly onto the grill plate ( no accessoires used ).
    However, I used it only 5 times when I noticed that there were a few scratches. I can see the silver coloured metal under the non stick coating. The only explanation could be that the chicken bones scratched it. The non stick coating is very thin and incredibly fragile. Did someone have had the same experience ?

    Oh, "so much drama" over shaking and/or flipping your food. I'll admit that I haven't been one to use the preheat function -- perhaps because I've followed this channel for a few years. And I was one who found that the Dual Blaze didn't make one difference whatsoever in anything I ever cooked in it. Well, hang on, if only I had preheated it (of course, it doesn't have such a function) and indeed, let it preheat even longer, perhaps it might have made some kind of difference. Sorry, folks, but I'm entirely happy to just flip and/or shake my food. I don't just set my air fryer and walk away from the kitchen -- if there's no shake reminder, I just keep an eye on the air fryer, and if I'm cooking something for, say, 10 minutes, I'll just make sure to be there when the time counts down to 5 minutes left. And then I'll flip and/or shake the basket. "It's not the end of humanity as we know it" if your air fryer doesn't have a shake reminder function. And here's a tip: If you just have GOT to have a shake reminder function, give this a shot: If you're cooking something for, say, 10 minutes, just set it to cook for 5 minutes, and then it'll beep at you, and even stop and wait for you to shake or flip your food. Then just set it for another 5 minutes and resume cooking, and you're good to go.
    Also, Kathy had a good example in her video for making use of the fan speed capability of the TurboBlaze -- when she was cooking grilled cheese sandwiches, and one time she opened the basket and saw that the top piece of bread had "flown away" from the rest of the sandwich. Pretty much the only way something like that is going to happen is because the fan "blew it away" from the rest of the sandwich. It's something that can happen when you have something "light weight" in the basket. So, for instance, that would be a good time to use the "Reheat" or "Bake" function, with its slower fan speed -- and hopefully nothing will "fly away" while it's cooking.
    I agree with Kathy -- I've tried most of the Cosori air fryers, and the TurboBlaze is easily my favorite air fryer, even without a shake reminder function.

    I'm disappointed that there isn't one Cosori to do it all. Since I found out that the DualBlaze's interior isn't that much bigger than the Pro2, I've been partial to it, but it doesn't dehydrate.
    I'd have to get an electrician put in a 30 amp circuit in the kitchen to run a couple of heavy load heat appliances without blowing the circuit.
    Maybe by the time I have to replace my air fryer, Cosori might have other options.

      I'm over the disappointment. My neighbor is good with lending me her dehydrator. I'm sold on the dual fan in air fryer because it's more oven-like.
      I would love to know how you accommodate having two 18000 or 15000W& 18000W electrically so they can run at the same time. My kitchen's power supply isn't made for it. Did you have to call in an electrician?

    I completely disagree with your sudden negativity towards the Dual Blaze. Having the basket fixed to the handle, like in the old models, is a huge disadvantage since you can't use the air fryer without the basket/tray. This limits space (which is already more limited in these models). Also, being able to remove the tray gives you a lot more options when cooking. I have owned 4 different air fryers so far and am by far most impressed by the Dual Blaze. I find the tray extremely easy to clean - and have never had an issue with food falling through the tray. If a particularly small fry should fall through - well, pick it up. The tray is very easily removed (surprisingly quick to cool down), and yet it never falls out when you pour fries out of the basket. So there are only disadvantages to the old "basket/tray-on-handle" construction). Most importantly, it's truly amazing that the dual heating elements are still not implemented in more models. This omission forces you to shake your fries - and turn your meat - which is twice the hassle. Seeing how the "Turbo" model failed your simple toast test is a clear example of this. Also, the Dual Blaze has a Bake function that DOES change "what's going on" as it greatly increases the heat from the bottom. This is what makes the real difference when cooking - not some blinking lights indicating fan speed. Oh, and the display is extremely easy to read in all lighting conditions. Looks stylish too. And the app is handy since it always gives you a notification when your food is done (no need to set it or anything).

    tbh I never get why people are obsessed with grilled cheese (and I will never get why in english it is called grilled cheese, you basically fry the bread, not the cheese xD) because putting toast in a sandwhich toaster has a way nicer result . I tested out grilled cheese in airfryer and in a pan and to me it is just like toasting toast and fast putting cheese on the hot bread. But when you put it in a sandwhich toaster and the edges make pockets where the cheese can really melt but it's not so crunchy and dry (you dont even need fat or oil or butter there) and it just takes 1-2 minutes I never understand the other work people make to get a "grilled cheese"
    it's interesting. I always feared doing bacon because you told about the smoke. But now you didn't put anything under and none of these smoked right?

    • @empoweredcooks
      @empoweredcooks  5 місяців тому

      None of them smoked, but I only had a few slices. If I do a whole pack, there is more grease and it might get a little smokey.
