although i do get irrationally annoyed when he does misses details in zomboid, like how he could just hit “f” to turn off his flashlight, he could break car windows to get in, not just hope they’re unlocked, etc, stuff like that
Not to be mr. negative, but calling him really good.. The guy play very basic and misses essentiel loot while focusing on irrelevant things. The difficulty setting seem rather low aswell

@@jwalster9412 we used to have 2 near me, and since the city they are in has expanded, one shut down and became an office building for certain companies and the other is still slowly dying off. I remember going there as a kid and it being packed with a movie theater and all the trending stores. Now its just old and run down. It is full of hobby shops, and various beauty supplies and food stores, but nothing really worth going there. Most of the stuff can be bought online or in another part of town where you'd likely have to run other errands.
If I went to a house during a zombie apocalypse looking for supplies, and found a pair of jeans and a leather jacket stuffed in the freezer and a broken pick axe in the oven. I'd probably back out slowly and find a new place to loot.
It's an extraordinarily Kevin sort of thing to do where he clears out the entirety of the mall, builds an extra bass inside said mall, and then Burns it straight to the ground for the fun if it. Lol
I remember my parents losing my little brother at Walmart. It was a fun 1 hour where cops were called and staff members blocking the entrance/exits. He was 4 at the time. He hid in between the clothes then hid behind the bikes cuz they "smelled good" apparently 😅

Watching how easily he knocked down walls with the sledgehammer made me realize just how completely insecure the interior structures of modern commercial and residential buildings are against these kinds of zombies. Seriously, the interior structures of almost all American homes, offices, hospitals, and stores built after the 19th century are just frames of 2x4s spaced out just wide enough for a person to slip between, and that frame is holding up sheets of gypsum that are so fragile that they will easily collapse under their own weight if you try to carry them horizontally. All you need is a boxcutter to sever the paper and you can cleanly snap drywall into sections with the amount of strength it would take to fold a corrugated cardboard box. If a skinny gamer raging over a CoD game can manage to punch holes in his drywall, imagine how quickly an agitated zombie could rip through it, let alone half a dozen or more. If we’re dealing with zombies capable of even the most basic comprehension of action-reaction, there wouldn’t be a single interior structure you could effectively barricade from them. The instant one of them hears suspicious noises coming from behind the drywall, punches a hole in the wall, and realizes that _they_ made the fist-sized hole in the wall… Well, it’s not going to be long before they make a zombie-sized hole in the wall.
@@The_Sleepiest_Socialist There are no such thing like "good" play style in such games like Project Zomboid. Of course, you can only rely on true grind and make your character and your base 100% perfect, but it will make you isolated from other ways to play PZ and you will miss all fun that developers tried to give to yuou. You can try out different challenges or make your gameplay more complicated or play with your friends etc.

I get the feeling the mall would be a great mega base for multiple people, like imagine dozens of players defending that mall from giant hordes of the undead. Actually that reminds me of that one zombie movie where this group of like 20 people live in this mall for a few months before getting surrounded by a giant horde and try escaping through, god i loved watching that movie growing up.

Rewatching this after playing the game makes me realize how good kevin is at this game, i get overwhelmed by 5 zombies and its a guaranteed death, once again proving why kev is the disciple of our dear leader
The Queasy Moodle was from being around the rotting corpses. When you see a cloud of flies around a zombie corpse, you can develop "Corpse Sickness" if you hang around too long.
I just found this channel but I really love these old longform videos like this where its 40 minutes instead of 20 and you've already been working at the game so you have a stockpile idk if I'm in the minority but I definitely wouldn't mind seeing more things like this
If you watched the video closely, Kevin made a remark that there could be a huge horde on the upper floor. Using guns would make unnecessary noises which would attract zombies to go lower. And in that case, Kevin would die pretty quickly. Guns in PZ are good when you're outside and have ways to run away from the horde. But guns inside buildings are a huge hell! Never underestimate how big an horde can expand in PZ.

Securing a mall and living there is one of my dreams I will never fullfill. The Grand Ohio mall has A LOT of windows you need to board up. The Crossroads mall has less windosw but still a lot of entrances. Both malls have a lot of space for farming. The Grand Ohio mall has a sea for fishing aswell. But I think as long as all doors and window are closed and intact, Zomies won't respawn in a mall.
This video is so much more relatable… these numbers of zombies are scary to me. I just watched a video with the UA-camr only getting concerned once he had a minimum 100 zombie hoard going at him with a wooden spear. It’s nice to see someone almost on my level. If you only watch PZ UA-cam content you’d be fully convinced the game is easy. But than you play it and can’t get a character to last longer than a day about 15 times in a row, and almost always get bitten instead of scratched 9/10 first zombie interactions that result in damage done to you.
I'll bet you anything if Kevin wore the heart rate monitor for this game his heart rate would be significantly higher than when he played Resident evil 😂
Beautiful episode, all missions cleared, fame and reputation through the roof, fire also through the roof and all the legal implications of drunk driving but overall I rate it Kevin/7
I’m glad you’re continuing with THE MAN, it’s always fun to see how long one character can last, project zomboid is always fun to watch and the one time challenge and joke characters are funny and entertaining, the long term multi episode characters are just as entertaining and pretty interesting and make me genuine care for them
Watching Kevin completely disregard his moodles while searching out more and more zombies gave me so much anxiety. Still not as anxious as Man2 though!
Kevin playing this game is perfect for me. I love his videos and this game always looked super fun… but I never really liked games with permadeath and constant restarts, so instead of stressing out I can vicariously enjoy it through Kevin!
What a perfect cinematic scene. Man bloodied from hours of slaying zombies, cold look on his face as he stares through the wall as if he doesn't see anything, shoving handfuls of gummy worms into his mouth with his blood soaked hands, slowly chewing from lack of energy.

I am sure someone else has said this by now, but the reason you got sick at 31:50 was because there were bodies near you while you slept. Being exposed to corpses too long will make you ill.

kevin is actually really good at this game, i bought it thinking it would be challenging but possible then cut to me dying from a zombie attack 5 minutes after starting 4 of those minutes being looting the spawning house. so im watching these videos with envy in my eyes thinking "i have to get better at project zomboid!! i will be the one to survive in a mall full of zombies next!!"
No, the mall would be my new base operations. I'd be moving everything from the old place to the mall. Once you systematically clear out everything inside of the mall and you get it secured. You've got a lot of breathing room to relax and just enjoy life. And if you set up more internal security, even if the outer security fails, there's layers of inner security that have to get through before they ever get to you.
And with that lovely isolation zone, you wouldn't even have to be quiet or try to hide in your fortress in the center because there wouldn't be any zombies close enough to hear anything you were doing

idk if youll see this but you can fill up garbage bags and milk crates with items (snacks, tools, equip etc) and then throw them in the back of the truck to save space and hold more

With all the extreme challenges Kevin does in this game, it kinda makes you forget he's played so long and is actually a very experienced player
I’m glad you’re continuing with THE MAN, it’s always fun to see how long one character can last, project zomboid is always fun to watch and the one time challenge and joke characters are funny and entertaining, the long term multi episode characters are just as entertaining and pretty interesting and make me genuine care for them
Watching Kevin completely disregard his moodles while searching out more and more zombies gave me so much anxiety. Still not as anxious as Man2 though!
Kevin playing this game is perfect for me. I love his videos and this game always looked super fun… but I never really liked games with permadeath and constant restarts, so instead of stressing out I can vicariously enjoy it through Kevin!

kevin is actually really good at this game, i bought it thinking it would be challenging but possible then cut to me dying from a zombie attack 5 minutes after starting 4 of those minutes being looting the spawning house. so im watching these videos with envy in my eyes thinking "i have to get better at project zomboid!! i will be the one to survive in a mall full of zombies next!!"

No, the mall would be my new base operations. I'd be moving everything from the old place to the mall. Once you systematically clear out everything inside of the mall and you get it secured. You've got a lot of breathing room to relax and just enjoy life. And if you set up more internal security, even if the outer security fails, there's layers of inner security that have to get through before they ever get to you.
And with that lovely isolation zone, you wouldn't even have to be quiet or try to hide in your fortress in the center because there wouldn't be any zombies close enough to hear anything you were doing

idk if youll see this but you can fill up garbage bags and milk crates with items (snacks, tools, equip etc) and then throw them in the back of the truck to save space and hold more
Who’s gonna tell Kevin that once you use the door from the inside, even if it is locked, it unlocks, he could of also just of disassembled the door and not gotten so exhausted.

When I see Kevin play a majority of games I feel like pulling my hair out. But I have nothing on his Project Zomboid skills. Every time I watch him play I start thinking maybe I can do it to, then I start playing and die 10 minutes in lol
