I haven’t tried Glossier but as far as I can tell it’s a “woke up like this” “my skin but better” natural type of makeup. I personally like that whole approach to makeup because I feel like social media has given this impression that you need a full caked face of makeup on every day and makeup should be more about improving small imperfections not completely masking your beauty. Not that there’s anything wrong with full glam, but there’s a time and a place you know?

The thing is they're trying to take the positive idea that your natural face is beautiful and exploiting it to sell overpriced makeup that hardly does a thing. It's such a ripoff, lightweight makeup can come very cheap.

I know this isn't your typical makeup style, but honestly this look is absolutely gorgeous on you. I'm not sure about how the color of the foundation and concealers look in person, but this natural dewy look suits you.

This is seriously one of my favorite make up looks on you EVER! I get you are a makeup girl and you always look flawless! But you DEFINITELY rock the shit out of a light-coverage, tinted face! You look beautiful!
Tbh I've tried some of their products which I love, and other products which I hate. What no one can take away from them though is how amazing their customer service is. I bought glossier's lip gloss not too long ago and when I got it, I wasn't that impressed. About a week after I bought it, I was sent one of those surveys to review the makeup, and I was completely honest and said I thought it was overpriced and did little to nothing. The next day I woke up with an email from customer service letting me know that they refunded my money and asking if I wanted to try out a different product from them. I never even asked for a refund, hell, I didn't even expect a follow up. I think if anyone is on the fence about them, just go for it. They're so nice and if you hate it, I'm sure they'll take care of you.

I think your skin looked amazing with these products actually! If the future of make up is about enhancing your natural canvas, that's possibly a positive perspective for younger teens to be exposed to and encouraged with. Rather than focusing on perceived flaws and trying to camouflage and correct and look like someone else. I like the idea of working with what you've got! Not covering it up! You look gorgeous here!
This is 100% my kind of makeup. I feel like I've always tried to force myself into the classic foundation concealer etc and its just not for me. This is definitely for me

I really appreciate that people keep on doing reviews for glossier but honestly y’all need to know that it’s a brand that mainly caters to people who like NATURAL looks, those dewy no makeup- makeup looks. So girls that do beat ass faces with a full matte foundation, please do your research first!

this glossier esque makeup HAS been a trend for a while now. you wont see any heavy cut crease instagram baddie makeup in a high fashion editorial or on the runway. however, theres a time, place and audience for every look. theres no need for any style to dominate the beauty industry.
well i dont think there isnt, its just not the default look for runway for a few reasons - its not creative, its overdone on instagram and other social media, so its not new and fresh. also makeup should make everything come together as a look - either complement OR contrast the haute couture. glam makeup usually does neither of those (unless in specific cases like night gowns etc). + its just too heavy and takes too much time for each model - considering most models have very nice skin, putting heavy makeup on them and hiding their uniqueness in cut crease glam makeup that makes everyone look literally the same is a bit of a waste of time. of course there are tweaked versions of it on runway, but its just not the default for many reasons.
This makeup actually looked really beautiful on you! I love glossier because as a makeup nerd sometimes it's nice to be able to see what your face actually looks like and just improve it slightly rather than cake it on super heavy and feel like you have to leave the house with a mask on

haha i am super pale and i have the cloud paint in puff and on me its a super pigmented white based baby pink! i think "haze" is the only one that may show up like that on deeper skin, theres definitely room for them to expand the diversity of their products

I think when you're used to doing heavier, full face makeup, something that's more subtle and natural looking can be underwhelming at first. But I think it gave you a very fresh look, like you've got a glow from within. I'm giving them the side eye for not having more shades available, BUT its nice to see something that's geared towards the ladies with drier skin... I'm really hoping this "all matte' trend is gonna give way to a dewier look. Jackie Aina reviewed the Wowder, she says its one of her favorites, but she uses the translucent one.
.HoneyLove. there is no "all matte trend" - it's very half and half and depends completely on the preference of the person. some people prefer matte, and some people have to wear matte makeup because if they try to be dewy the oil in their face gets out of control, and some people prefer dewy because matte products dry out their skin.
I feel like its a trend, because when I started getting into makeup, that's all I ever heard about. I didn't realize or really even hear about dewy makeup for awhile, and it was really only because one day it dawned on me (after drying out my skin from trying to be matte) that dry skin can't handle drier formulas, sometimes even with extra moisturizer. I learned about that about the same time as moisturizing primers. Just like I only recently learned about more skin-like foundation (again, Jackue Aina, which is my preference). If you've been into makeup forever, then it may not be a trend for you, but I've only been into for the last 3-4 years and that's all I ever saw or heard about... I guess more UA-camrs have oily skin vs dry/ combo skin.
It depends on your skin type oily skin > matte and dry skin > dewy. Jackie Aina has oily skin so she might not be a good reference if you have dry skin.
Well considering the fact that k-beauty is on the rise here in the west I think a more natural look is defiantly more and more ‘in’, I love the tints and bb creams and cc creams, been a fan of k-beauty for years now so I’m glad to see it come here 💕 btw you look amazing! Wish I looked like you, perfect woman 😍
Miyakies kbeauty products are more worth it than Glossier tbh! They have more pigment (tonymoly) and can be sooo much cheaper (especially when you know your coupon codes). Only thing I don’t like Kbeauty is that the shade range is so small!

I think you are a natural beauty and this Glossier look actually suits you. You can have your total beat days and the days you just want to look fresh and I think that's how you look in this video. The beauty of makeup is that the options are endless.

Even if you don't have perfect skin I really like glossier. I used to wear a full face every day but I'm trying to love my natural skin more and using glossier helps my skin breathe and look more natural but still pretty. I would recommend it for those who want to transition to a more natural look

Everything looks gorgeous! Young, fresh, glowing but not too much! Knocked a good 5 years off too, not that that's a dig because you're gorgeous either style! This really does suit you! Your skin is amazing also!
I personally think Glossier is a bit overpriced, their prices should be like 60-70% of what they are. HOWEVER I also think this is not a brand suitable for Patricia like at all, she likes heavy full coverage makeup.. Glossier makeup is literally meant to just give you natural enhancement, maybe just a bit of shine and dew. I think its more suitable for people who want to look polished but are not fans of the popular makeup, its more suitable for alternative folks. I know Patricia states that several times within the video :) im just supriprised she even decided to give Glossier a try because I feel like the brand does a good job communicating itself and explaining what kind of person is their target group and I feel like Patricia is definitely not that.. so no surprises its not her favourite thing ever :)
I would also like to say I personally think she ends up looking absolutely GORGEOUS and fresh at the end of the video, its so refreshing to see her so fresh and natural yet still so polished. I used to be a fan of heavy makeup but lately I have fallen in love with just simple enhancement and I feel so over the heavy makeup trend. Thats ofc just my personal preference! Everyone should enjoy makeup the way they want! :) Just so nice to see her looking this fresh and young
I am someone that would be attracted to the glossier look. Hated their makeup and think it is over-rated.
I also was a bit disappointed, I think it would be less disappointing if it was cheaper. Safe to say you can get a similar look with different products from different brands for far less money :)

Mine was acne prone when I started wearing glossier but I’ve noticed since I’ve worn it for a while my acne has cleared up my skin looks really good now.

This looks like literally all I've ever wanted from makeup lol. I wear makeup maybe 4 times a year and if it transforms me too much, I tend to take take it right off.
I love the Glossier look and wish my oil slick face could wear their products without turning into a dripping fried chicken wing. They need to introduce a matte finish skin tint. 😞

I have really oily skin too and after using more nourishing products for a few weeks it turned my skin perfect and if you feel to oily threw out the day, a good setting powder/blotting and a good setting spray saves me
