Watching this test closely. ..I've Been trying to analyze the same questions. I often have the same items listed on both platforms, keeping an extra eye on those.... ...I've been selling on eBay since 1997/8 and Etsy from 1 month after covid started. ...I just started with bin on eBay, I've always used Auction...with you bin, are the listing set with offers on? for test and normally. Thanks!
I started with BIN on ebay just about the moment they offered it. Over the last few years I've barely done auctions on there and have mostly been disappointed with the results. I dont have best offers on my listings. Good questions. Now I'll go into details about the why of these decisions in my next video. Thanks for watching and the ideas.
@@antiquingwithmattgreig1370 I've only just arrested to to BIN on eBay. I haven't had much luck with it but it seems like all the others I know do great with it. I do use Ebay to sell off, say I have an old Fenton bowl or a defined vintage toy car, EAPG known pattern, or definable "collectible" - it's not something I would normally deal in, bring to a show,, or put in our booth. When Covid started I was nervous - most our income is shows, personal sales, auction houses. I tried Etsy for show level stuff and I did great. I now use it for stuff I take to shows - silver, jewelry, objects. .....I'm starting my own test of putting same object ton both sites and see what platform sell most.
If it’s shippable than I tend to try it on eBay. I also have stuff not worthy of my show booths on there and I don’t list huge items on eBay but the rest goes on
Hi Matt, enjoy seeing the results of this challenge. We've not yet ventured onto Etsy so this is great info. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for watching and for saying. Ebay is way better for me but I guess I want to diversify
Ooooooh this is a great idea for a challenge!
thanks, I think so too
