Excellent lesson, Jeff! That entire album is a textbook on rock and metal drumming - Deen went hard on that one. And that scary blur of notes on X13 now makes sense! I can’t wait to play with this concept!
Leave it to Deen to take a simple concept and use a creative twist to make it so effective and badass! I gotta check out this CD! Thanks Jeff, your precision and energy really capture that Deen Castronovo vibe.
Master Jeff! Thank you so much for breaking it down for us, Deen is the best and of course you too! Amazing content, when i get my visa i will travel to take some lessons with you! Cheers!
Excellent scaffolding again in this lesson. A variation once the basic pattern is mastered would be for the left hand: FT-Tom1-Tom2-FT-Snare-T1-T2-FT (repeat) keeping the right hand the same. Sounds absolutely sick.
Deen is in my top 5 favorite drummers. Great lesson. Maybe something off of Joey Tafolla’s Infra Blue at some point. Check your instant messages from March when you have time. 😃
Deen is the king!
I strongly concur.
Jeff huge fan of your playing. I wanted to say thanks for all the content you have put out over the years. You are a beast my friend.
My pleasure, Justin! Glad you've received value from it. Thank you!
7:30 "I totally support that"...
Me TOO!!! LOL
😂😂😂😎

And the fact he tracked the whole album in 2 days is even more 🤯 !

Thank you! Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
This is such a mean sounding fill 😤, LOL! Thanks a lot for another great lesson!
Because sometimes, fills should be mean! 😂
As always, excellent explanation and presentation. Thanks again Mr. Bowders!
You got it, Corey! Enjoy!

My pleasure, Rami! Get After It!

Whew, "Infra Blue" is a veritable cornucopia of DB goodness!
@@JeffBowders it is indeed. And Joey’s guitar playing is really good as well.
@@mikeb598 absolutely! Super under rated.
Didn't Deen play on Jason Becker's shred classic Perpetual Burn..?
@@timmyb8694 that was Atma Anur. Amazing album. Deen played on the second Cacophony album "Go Off" with Becker & Friedman. Shredtastic!
