Polaris Sportsman 850 XP Mudding! Can Cryptid Mud Tires Handle Midsummer Mud?

- More Polaris Sportsman 850 XP Mudding action continues on this day as I put the ITP Cryptid Mud Tires to the test. Heading to the Napanee ATV Park, I will first hit a few deep forest mud holes that should be a challenge, including one small but nasty spot I've never made it through AND broke an axle the last time.

The first time I found your channel was when my brother got a sportsman 800 and then he got criptids so I searched on youtube for a sportsman with 30" criptids saw the video you were testing them and I couldnt believe the rest of you content great job man
Thanks man, appreciate the support. It is so nice to hear when people really enjoy the content. Don’t be afraid to share some of your favourite videos.
Cool to see the spring and summer differences on the trail. That thick summer mud can sometimes be more of a pain than the spring wet stuff. Great content. Keep it up.
Oh it is thick alright, the top water from recent rain is deceiving. It can stop you in a heart beat!
I sure do plan to to keep making regular videos!
waiting for the rain to stop to go myself now good timing on the video
We will gladly take some of your rain!
Even though your machine is practically a highlifter now, I like the fact that You run an XP. Are You still running the XP diffs or did You swap them out to something lower geared? And keep on mudding my Friend.
Yes it is very similar to a HL. I have not changed any gearing or anything with the differentials. So my Low gear is NOT as low a ratio as a HL, but my High gear is way better for ripping down the trails. The front differential is an older style with the ADC and is very robust with along HD Billet pinion cover.
To do it over again, a HL would be nicer for the bones of it BUT several modifications would still be needed. It never ends, my friend. What do you ride?
ADVENTURES This Way I ride whenever I get the chance. No hardcore mudding anymore, mostly trail riding and on the backroads. 20 years ago I was in the mud every weekend in send it mode. I will still hit a hole every now and then but just love to cruise. I ride a 2019 sportsman 1000 XP on 28 Zillas and love the power and comfort for sure.
Johnny Kidd sure is comfortable no doubt! It’s not always about hitting mud holes it about getting out and enjoying the ride, when ever you can!
End of the season thick mud can be some hard stuff to get through. Hey at least everything held up this ride haha.
Yes that is true, everything is still together, and I have been working it quite hard!
Nice. Would love to ride in Canada.
We are quite lucky here to have plenty of land to ride
Make a video on how you clean the thing !
It’s never ending! But I could show that some time.
@@ADVENTURESThisWay I can imagine !
🤘
Great to have you stop by the channel, as always!
What exhaust are you running? And are the front and rear tires same width? I'm looking at the same tires but in a 28
RJWC Mud edition series. Tires are 9" wide, and only measure 28.5" on a good day. Best mud/trail combo IMO
@@ADVENTURESThisWay go check out the video I just posted reviewing mine. Maybe you've got some tips for me.
What size are your tires
30" Cryptids but true measure is 28.25"
