The fairy reel - piano accordion

Piano accordion has an ambivalent role in the Irish-Scottish folk music. Playing only on the treble side it harmonizes quite well with traditional instruments such as violin, flute and guitar. Solo piano accordion with bass is always tricky. But it’s worth exploring the possibilities as well as the limits. This reel is played not in 4/4 metre but as a slow air. A type of tune in traditional music, marked by the absence of strict metre.
