Hey Vinhenteiro, didn’t expect to see you here
I didn't know that Orlando bloom was a good accordion player.
Ofcourse he is, he's an elf! 😂
Neither I did... 🤔
bit of a long shot, dont u think..?
Nailed it...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ya decía yo que lo conocía de algún lugar
Hi guys! I am an accordion player from Czechia. You played fantastic, but there is one problem - Rosamunde, in its origin, isnt German song. It was written by a Czech composer Jaromir Vejvoda, and in Czech is called "škoda lásky". Of course, later, it was arranged for german audience, but it's a czech song❤.
Well I mean the Video is not called ,, Music from Countries " but rather traditional Music and as someone who lives in Germany I still hear it very often. I get your point though
@@elspinno2934 Believe me, here in Czech lands Rosamunde/Škoda lásky is played more often than in Germany, because of its Czech song originaly.🙂
The most famous Czech song worldwide.

I don't get how accordion is not popular anymore. It's so versatile!
I'm 20 and wish there was accordion teachers. I want to learn so bad i even have a toy accordion. It's just super hard for me to read music
Just wrapped up 2 months in Brazil, its massively popular here still
too hard to play
@@Ruben-by4oy Can't argue that! :-))))
I'm from Serbia and accordion is still very popular in folk music.
Orlando Bloom casually playing the Accordion - a surprise but a really pleasant one
😎😎😎
Great video, guys! Jorge Ben jor is nice, but actually here in Brazil the accordion is most widely used to play two rhythms, which are forró and sertanejo. I suggest you take a look, you might like it :)

Look up "quadrilha music sanfona" and you'll find Brazil's version of a polka ;)

Continental Europe: hey lets have a dance and drink and gather and enjoy life.
England: Im depressed. I want to die. Hey there bard. Play me a song of sadness.
Give them a break. Poor sods have been living under the rain since they settled, with people who don't want them there on two sides, open sea leading to frozen lands on another, and the most terrifying ennemy known to man southward. People who eat snails and frogs. Madmen. Morale is bound to take a hit.
"Continental Europe - enjoy life"?? Have you heard the slavic ones? True anthems for depression they are
We have much better trad tunes than Greensleeves in England. Rochdale coconut dance? Greensleeves just got famous due to the Henry VIII myth.
I would say England has quite a thriving traditional music scene, with plenty of uplifting tunes.

Here in Brazil we have a rhythm named " Forró " which has the accordion as the main instrument and also a very particular style of playing it. The principal name of the rhythm is the legend " Luis Gonzaga ". Just saying this because Brazil isn't just Samba and beaches, we have multiple cultures and I'm sure you guys will love the Forró and it's connection with the accordion. Hugs!

As a Brazilian I really think it's cool you guys using Jorge Ben Jor, but I think maybe Luiz Gonzaga would be a better choice to show how Brazilian music uses the accordion.
yeah, that's the moment i realised they're not playing "accordion music" from countries, they're just playing music from different countries *on* accordions

The Scottish song is the most surprising to me. It sounds almost exactly like a bagpipe. Very well done.
Well the accordion is also a reed instrument
To me it's the worst tune of the 24, though I'm not blaming the musicians. It sounds crude and ancient, without being the slightest bit quaint.
if you know the limitations of playing the bagpipes youd cut us some slack😅
Although scotland has many other folk songs without bagpipes and thats what id rather people hear, more interesting scottish celtic music than the same 3 bagpipes songs which all kind of sound similar anyway
♥️🇷🇸 you chose a very beautiful serbian song , i honestly thought you would play something like moravac or uzicko kolo, but I'm glad you chose tamo daleko, a song from WW1 that's very impactful. Especially if you understand the history of this country or how this song came to be. thank you ♥️
☺️
Tesla requested it be played on his funeral
Slažem se potpuno! ❤ divno su je odsvirali.
Agree.
Da!
Pure joy. How can anyone not be happy listening to this?
Regards from Serbia and tnx for the song "Tamo daleko". Here is translation:
"Over there, far away from the sea,
There lies my village, there lies Serbia. 2X
Over there, where the lemon blooms yellow,
There was the only path for the Serbian army. 2X
Over there, where the white Crimea blossoms,
There, father and son gave their lives together. 2X
There, where the Morava quietly flows,
There my icon remained, and my patron saint's day. 2X
There, where the Timok greets Veljko's city,
There they burned down the church, where I wedded as a young bride. 2X
Without my homeland, I lived on Krf,
But proudly Serbia lived within me. 2X"
The song "Tamo daleko" talks about nostalgia and love for Serbia and its traditions, even when one is far away from their homeland. It describes rural life, military paths, the sacrifice of fathers and sons for the country, as well as an emotional connection to Serbian culture and customs. The song highlights the importance of homeland and the pride one feels towards their country, even when they are far away from it.

Wow! Such a cool selection of songs! My dad, born and raised in Belgium with Polish parents, played like this for weddings and baptisms and such. I miss his music, but you bring it back to me. Dziękuję!
In Mexico we have a deep connection with the accordion, it's used in a lot of current popular music, but also in traditional music as well, we have our own style of polka due to the cultural mix that happened in the north of the country, your rendition of Jarabe Tapatío was really good, and I hope that you read my comment because I'd love to hear you play a mexican polka 😁
Its just what I wanted to say. They picked Jarabe Tapatio, one of the most steriotypical songs.of Mexico, but one of the simplest, and I don"t blame them; but like you said, I invite them to dive into the norteño genre, for instance. We got plenty of songs composed for accordion, though not as known as Jarabe, but worth to try.

Are the original lyrics about beer? There is a version in portuguese of that
@@clasherdanet8699 Kinad. We have two versions. Original, which is not, and translated english version Beer barrel polka. Original text is about lost love. But the first version was only instrumental.
The song "Rosamunde" has a german Text, but the melody and Polka in general has nothing to do with germany. I think it was because of Ernst Mosch. Technically, He was a german and made Polkas to hits. Today, his birth-region belongs to the Czech Republic.
Wish I could give two thumbs up. This was so amazing!

Duuuuuude.....y'alllllll.... I'm a metalhead and blues heart and classical mind and guitarist and pianist and multi-instrumentalist for so many years..... and for 3 1/2 months now (beginning of Feb. '23 to now May 18) I've been an accordionist, and I've barely touched my guitars since picking it up 😮 It's a harmonica on steroids and hand reed organ/autoharp (bass side of Stradella bass system) all in one. It's a one man band betwixt two hands, yo. I tell people that I recently started playing accordion and I expect that they're going to laugh and snicker and giggle and shit but then they are overwhelmingly positive about it. Accordion was the shiznittle till The Beatles came around and suddenly everyone wanted to learn guitar because that was the cool thing to do. But nowadays, I find, since guitarists are a dime a dozen quite frankly, people are actually MORE IMPRESSED with an accordion player because it's such a rarity!
So interesting the variety there is. I am blown away...
