  • There were not a lot of trick tips on this particular slappy combo so I figured that I would make one! Sorry for the video being a little rushed, but I was running out of daylight.

    You should do video breaking down the dimensions of that long curb you sk8 behind what looks like a grocery store. I've seen a lot of videos on how to build curbs but nobody really breaks down the perfect slappy curb height, top width and bottom width. Also what's you slappy board setup? I think most people are under the impression that larger wheels make Slappys easier when in fact, learning from you, that's not true. Thanks man keep ripping and helping all of us rip too

    • @eastcoastcurbkiller
      @eastcoastcurbkiller  2 роки тому +1

      Man these are some fantastic ideas!!! I can definitely break down how I pour my curbs, the mold I use, etc. And as far as my setup is concerned, I didn’t think anyone would be interested but hearing you say this is definitely giving me motivation to make a vid about that as well!

      yeah right.... just get a brick and rub the curb a bunch first. then wax

    came back to this video again from my history, started trying to get into slapy krooks at the local park. that's an easy one to put too much weight on your lead foot and fall to your ass 🙃
    you're saving lives with that front truck BTW 👍

    frontside slappys please especially on parking blocks? I can do backside confidently but frontside is scary for me

    • @eastcoastcurbkiller
      @eastcoastcurbkiller  2 роки тому +1

      If it helps I am not super good at them either lol. I can probably do enough of them for a vid but they won’t be perfect by any means 😂

  • @sdm74

    Is it easier to learn on a parking block or standard curb?

    • @eastcoastcurbkiller
      @eastcoastcurbkiller  2 роки тому

      It is the easiest on a Venice shaped double sided curb. Some parking blocks are super hard. All depends on shape.

      Haha I’m kind of opposite with the exception of front crooks. Seems like I always lose and have to re-learn slappy front 50’s and noseslides

    Any tips for longer slappy noseslides , I can get them to go about a foot or 2

    • @eastcoastcurbkiller
      @eastcoastcurbkiller  2 роки тому +1

      First thing is that you want to be pretty parallel to the curb when you go into it. After that the two biggest things are under-rotating a little when you turn in (so that you are gliding on the rear wheel instead of the leading wheel) and taking the weight off of your back foot almost all together. Your back foot should barely be putting any pressure on your board. It’s kind of just there for for the ride while you’re sliding lol. That’ll help you stand completely over your front foot.
