No, I’ve never taken my steam deck apart. It was an oem unit, but I know based on what we saw in the video the lcd display connector had to be loose or a potential wiring fault. There were no fps issues I noticed prior to the issue arising. From a consumer perspective I refuse to fix a defective new unit so I haven’t uncovered the problem myself. Steam forced me to post proof of the issues on UA-cam to be able to RMA the steam deck for a replacement. For the record this is the 3rd Rma’d device. 2 prior steam decks plus a repair for a shoulder button that prematurely failed. They paid for the repair. I have to admit they’re great about standing behind their product, but the quality control is lacking. I literally babied each unit. I asked for a refund and they refused to give me a refund because it’s been over a year since it’s been purchased. First gen problems I suppose.
No, I’m assuming the display’s connector is loose. I’ve had that deck for less than a year. It’s my 2nd RMA’d unit. I take it you have the same issue too? If you can manage to record your steam deck doing the same thing valve will RMA it and send you a new unit.
Did you ever get your to come back on. If so it u have Fps issues afterwards

I have the same issue. In my case the display is not working anymore... I have no idea what to do. maybe buy a new one...
Contact steam customer support and tell them what’s happening, they’ll send you a new one as long as the unit is defective
