hey there awesome benchmark video! i m upgrading to 7700xt from gta 1660 so this will be a huge upgrade for me. my only issue is choosing the right cpu. i have a gigabyte b450m ds3h wifi motherboard and i was looking to buy ryzen 7 5700x or ryzen 7 5800x. saw a few posts on reddit saying that the motherbaord might not be able to supply enough power to the cpu and it might overheat causing thermal throttling. Any recommendations from your side? will those 2 cpu work with my motherboard or i might face the mentioned issues above?
A b450 is capable of running the r7 5700x or 5800xt just make sure you have the updated bios. some b450 motherboards, especially the old ones, does not have the correct bios version for ryzen 5000 series CPU. you should be fine.
Update your bios and get the R7 5700X because it's a 65W CPU and is only 2% slower than the 5800X which is a 105W CPU.
Hey people, I am thinking about having a RX 7700 XT really because of the VRAM considering the disappointing 8GBVRAM in the RTX4060 and 4060ti series. You guys think that the Ryzen 5 7600 can do the job well or it has a bad bottleneck?
It will be very good for 7700 xt no bottleneck because 7700 xt utilises 100% gpu usage

The 7700XT consumes 245-260W depending on the model you get.
The 6800 is a better pick, since you can undervolt it by a lot without touching the clock speeds since they are already low and undervolted it will consume 170W. And the 6800 has 16GB of VRAM
Depending on the game the 5600 might slightly bottleneck a 6800/7700XT, but that doesn't matter as you will be getting 100-120fps+ and in e-sport games the CPU is usually the bottleneck anyway, but at 300fps+ why would you care?
I noticed a huge difference in fan rpm, is the 3070 noticeable louder?
Must be cause it’s an older card or poor heat sink design; it’s consistently hotter which wasn’t the case for my evga 3070 ftw; he tested an igame variant which isn’t a common rtx sample
It could dump lots of heat but whatever cooler is on his isn’t doing a good job, at least in comparison to a lower wattage gpu 7700xt

Depending on the game and the rest of the system. It should vary from 0 to 7 %. Typically no difference or very small

Yeah, but still wouldn't recommend. It depends on what games u play and resolution, i had an 3070 an had no issues with performance at 1080p and 1440p; If the games u play are recent and AAA, then you would benefit from having 12gb or more of vram, which is why i upgraded to a 4070 super
Not really, you can get a 6700 xt which is faster and has 12GB VRAM for 200$ second hand.

Keep in mind...Radeon cards have horrible idle power draw as well as high power draw during video playback (youtube or whatever)
the difference would be even smaller if the 3070 wasnt limted by vram amd and nivida did us dirty this generation

@@alexwe5289 that's a bit better than what I had when I used one...I was getting between 40-75 watts on my 7800 xt while only getting 15-30 watts on the Nvidia counterpart.
it seems like it until you start watching frametime graph, it horrible on rtx 3070 im many of those games..
@@roki977 cause of the vram limit genuinely it's a pathetic generational uplift from both companies the 7700 xt is weaker than the rx 6800 which in 2020 released for 580 dollars with 16gbs of vram the 7700xt on the other hand is slightly weaker in pure raster performance only has 12gbs of vram and it's lunch msrp was 450
