It's literally a Ryzen 7000 (Zen 4) CPU but rebranded as "8000" because any AMD CPU released in 2024 automatically starts with 8xxx regardless of architecture, falling in line with what they've done with laptop CPUs the past year or so. Very dumb and intentionally misleading for most consumers that don't know better. The real 8000 desktop CPUs (Zen 5) will probably be out at the end of this year. These ones in the video should be called 7700G, 7600G, 7500G, etc.

@tonyd7164 115 watts is nothing compared to a 65 watts cpu and a 120 or 150 watts gpu. In countries where electricity a little expensive, this is viable option for work and gaming.
Yeah I agree with this assessment. If you want to replace lower tier GPUs with these, they actually need to make sense. If I can buy a cpu + gpu for less that will outperform it, I think you may need to go back to the drawing board.
I could see this making sense on a Home server as it would make troubleshooting easier and would allow easier hardware encoding for home media servers.
This would be good for people thatre on a budget aswell. Say maybe you can only afford the cpu at the moment you can get an apu then hold out and wait till you have enough saved up for a gpu.
It may make a discreet GPU not as important but it will not replace them in the near future. If you can fit that much performance in that small of a chip, you better believe you can fit more in a 12 pound GPU
