This turned out great, although I’m not a fan of painting the hardware. Personally I would have made the hardware gold, black or natural. I’m not being critical, just comes to personal opinion. You did a great job. Wish my roadside finds were in this good shape.
Thank you Chris! 😊 And ya, I'm getting a lot of mixed comments re the painted hardware. I'm really pleased with the way this FP all came together. I can count on one hand how many times I've painted out hardware but I'm glad I tried it again on this piece. Mixes things up.😉
I was thinking snarky comments when you started painting on the blue paint and at the finished product my opinion has changed. It does look modern and sophisticated.
I like when you show a project that doesn’t use any power tools. Not everyone wants to invest in them right away. I wouldn’t have painted the handles either. But that’s a personal preference.
Hi Denise: Love the color and the transfer. Not that I disapprove of what you accomplished here, but the second I saw it done, my sense made me look for a little "something" on it that made it pop. I like the hardware (it's sooo pretty) but am wondering if just a dry brushing of a burnished gold (or silver) on them would give a lively appearance. All in all, a beautiful job on a once motley piece. Kudos!!
Thanks Catherine, and ya, I'm getting a ton of mixed reviews on the painted hardware. I paint SO MUCH furniture I have to switch it up now and then or else I'll get bored. But for sure, I understand that this is a personal style decision. 🤗
Beautiful job! How does this all in one paint hold up on surfaces that will be used more frequently like a night stand top or a table top? Thanks for the great video!
I probably didn't paint handles - or put on a different colour... - but, wow! This is beautiful! Love those transferables on the sides and that fantastic blue! 👏👏👏
Thank you Candace, I really appreciate your kindness and support! There are so many awesome brands of paint, I hope everyone knows these techniques apply to ALL brands 😊

Exactly! Not everyone has or wants to use power tools... but stay away from the dollar store sand paper.😂

I like the painted look but would like to see the wood version also.
Good to know and thanks for chiming in Linda! I'm kinda curious myself, hehe

Stunning! Loved it thanks
That color is gorgeous Denise. The transfer on the drawers add the perfect touch!

Beautiful! But I would’ve left the drawer pulls original.
Thanks Kay!
Love your channel and your information is always spot on.
