That’s great. Only one thing is better than knitting with fabulous yarn in brilliant colours and that is a good price!!❤❤
Enjoy your lightning trip to the UK. I find your colour selection very inspiring. ❤❤
Thank you! I am super excited and have already done a lot of research on where I can get the exact Jamieson's colors I need for the lowest price...
Always enjoy your episodes. I thoroughly enjoyed Demon Copperhead and do plan to read/listen to David Copperfield too.
Thank you so much!! I am more than halfway through now and can't wait to read David Copperfield next.
Hope you have safe journeys and get to have a great time here in the UK. Be sure to bring a waterproof coat as it seems to do nothing but rain at the moment. 🇬🇧
Thank you! I have umbrella, waxed Barbour, and waterproof boots on the packing list!
Safe trip! Get a marker on that navy gansey, and time yourself on the plane. Yards of stockinette take time-why do we do that?😂🇬🇧💂
Thank you! I totally should do that and see how much I get done!
That’s too bad your Easter is so busy & hectic; just like everything - we need to simplify
Hope you get time to rest & medicate & find calmness
Guersey/gansey looks great. Mine is taking forever
Thank you! I agree, it would be nice to simplify. But I also love to sing church music, so I am sure it will also be a wonderful time. And I will really enjoy having a week off afterwards!
Thanks for a great episode! I love catching up every week (or so - ish). Good luck as you make it through Lent, then Holy week and enjoy your trip to England. I keep adding a bunch of J&S to my cart wanting to make the Radiant Star Cowl. It will definitely happen eventually.
I love that pattern! I knitted it a few years ago when the pattern came out, but in very different colors. Thanks so much 😄
Second mitten ‼️‼️
Regarding your Matchless: I had to adjust my wheel because it was shifting back and forth as I was spinning. It turns out, the vertical piece of wood in the center of the frame can be adjusted. So you loosen the screws on the sides of the frame, push on that center piece to make the wheel sit snugly on its axle, and then retighten the screws. Hopefully this works for you. It worked for me once, but I think I need to do it again. 😊
I think this might be EXACTLY the fix I was looking for!! Thank you so much! I'll give this a go.
@@barnabyknits can’t wait to hear if it solves the problem!
I don't know about the matchless, however check your mother of all and alignment with the wheel. That might help wheel alignment?? Worth a try🤷🤷 Good luck
That I will indeed check! Thank you so much for your advice.
Please publish the coffee sleeve pattern!
My favorite Kingsolver is Prodigal Summer. And I love both Danube and Dewdrop, such great colors. Have a blast in the UK, and well done on the WIP-down.
Prodigal Summer was my favorite Kingsolver...until I read Demon Copperhead. She's a master. I second reading David Copperfield again right after it. Great idea.
I will have to read that next! Thanks for the tip.
@@SarahRankin-fj8cwI think I will bring David Copperfield with me on my trip!
There's going to be a new season of Call the Midwife. Lacuna by Kingsolver is great. Have a great time in the UK. Thanks
I know! I wish we got Call the Midwife weekly starting in January like in the UK - it's so hard to wait until later in the year! And thank you :)
@@barnabyknits say Sunday 3/17 for NHPBS. Season 13. I like hearing about what you and your mom are reading.
@@bgbaltuth Thank you! I will look forward to that...
Do read Poisonwood Bible when you can. It's fantastic, once you accept the premise. If you haven't read the audiobook of A Prayer for Owen Meany, I highly recommend it. Best narrator EVER. I believe it won prizes for best audiobook. I like your brand of kooky. Relatable.
I read A Prayer for Owen Meany last year and absolutely LOVED it!! But I didn't listen, just read the book. My mom and I both love Juliet Stevenson's narrations.
@@barnabyknits It was Owen's voice--I couldn't imagine how a narrator would manage, but he did a marvellous job. I like JS's narrations also.
Hi 😊, would you feel comfortable sharing a clip of you singing?
