@MikeyNoFonts Oh, nah, it's great. More of what you just did. I'm much more partial to the V5 content personally, and you have 3 decks just around the corner to break down. Can't wait!
Just a random question. So... even though I've played the game since launch, it's always been very casually to the point where I don't understand archetypes and things like that! My question is, do you call this type of deck a "bruise Bleed deck" or do the new Banu cards make it its own archetype?
Ive only very recently come back to the game, and looking at Marduk, retribution and hunters mark, my eyebrow raises.(As an old trem/trem anti player) Where's the counter play ? These 3 cards in particular seem to do too much at the same time, to me. Marduk gains you massive deck construction efficiency, and gets around many traditional defensive disciplines. Retribution seems to further aid deck construction efficiency. And makes every combat card in your deck the bleed pressure you would need. And lastly, Hunter's mark, is both a rush and gets around ScE. (for free/no cost.) Could you educate me on what the counterplay is ? It seems to be limited to very niche cases.(to me at least) People seem to point to celerity guns or Immortal grapple, but I'm not so sure about that. (You can pack way more manoeuvres, dodges, than they can due to the deck construction restraints) And even if that's the case, that eliminates a lot of the archetypes out there for deck diversity ? (As an aside this "these cards do a lot of things at the same time"seems to be present in all the new BC decks).
Unfortunately I agree that it can limit a lot of decks choice, Banu Haqim can be an oppressive archetype and they demolish most of the decks I like playing. Every deck is weak to something though, I prefer to play decks with a lighter combat package, so I will always struggle Vs combat decks. The deck itself sucks against anything with stealth, it can't keep up with the pace of decks like Ravnos or weenie dementation. As for Tremere, block denial will hurt them but I actually think Tremere are really well placed Vs Brujah and Banu. Obedience and Mirror walk are incredible right now and keep your vampires safe. You also have magic of the smith, the superior having +3 stealth means that second tradition will never catch you.
@@LiesFromTheTabletop So the answer to me then is dont get into combat with them. Which really doesnt feel great from a deck diversity/ game design perspective, when your (not you specifically) answer is "aggro poke them". Im concerned about what the new cards will mean re. the game design space going forward.
Congrats again on the UK National win. keep doing what you did in this podcast, pros and cons on tournament winning decks is great content :)
Thanks mate, I’ll be releasing a video this week talking about my deck choice and the decks at the final table too! Hope you’re able to catch it!
Great content guys. Looking forward to the next vid!
Thanks for the positive feedback mate, let us know if you’ve got any questions for us so we can feature them in a future video! 👊

@@finelerv we’ll have you covered for sure! 👍
Pretty spot on with the names in my opinion, but I think Kobane is pronounced Koh-bahn-ay.

I would call it bruise bleed, yeah. Bruise bleed is a deck that bleeds and punishes blockers with it's combat package. That certainly applies here.
Thank you very kindly. Looking forward to the next episode!
