They give tons of rewards daily that reduce times, your allies can help reduce time as well. Haven't felt like I have to buy something and I'm at level 12 headquarters now. After playing this game for sometime, i will say ,i do not recommend downloading this game or any such purely PAY TO WIN game, where you pay to reach the top position and then pay to maintain that positions. Such games foster unhealthy competition of spending which is not good for your pockets or mental peace. Such games require no skill or strategy to play, only skill you need here is the ability to type your card numbers faster😂.
The recent ads of Last War: Survival Game that I kept on seeing were the ones that always say: Playing Games People Say Are Fake Part 5 and also You want me to play a fake game? Look, what happened to the first 4 parts of this 'Playing Games People Say Are Fake' thing? I don't care if I want you to play a fake game!
I imagine it's the same people working under a new cheap company. It's super inexpensive to make a new company in China, and it costs more to sue them than what they're worth. They'll just disband the company and make another for around 2k, while they make so much more off lying and microtransactions. The reason for why they're basically the same is because they use the same advertisers as well. Also they just remade the game because the old one's reviews were too low. China has no moral and legal advertising laws to punish these people, so they won't stop.
I've been playing Last War for a few days so glad to see you did a video on it. It's one of the more tolerable games on it's genre but nothing special.
Yeah seen a few more ads cropping up for it since this video as well so seems to be growing, definitely nothing out the ordinary but glad the adverts are *usually* accurate at the very least
It’s better than gotcha games in my opinion. Unlike those dopamine gambling MOFO induced games. This is just go and play for 10 minutes or 2 hours what ever you want. And if you miss a few days nothing is missed out.
I got an ad for this game before this video and it's hilarious to me how they have a guy stop playing on the facecam to say that "they made a game out of all the fake ads" while the game on the bottom is STILL GOING
For those who would like to know, what you've seen in this video is literally only the beginning of the game. The rest is just a cashgrab Pay 2 win game where you'll have trouble progressing if you don't pay real money. This game has 4 to 6 battle passes at the same time, renewed each week (25 bucks each). There's no other way to get legendary heroes and level them up (unless you're planning to play this game for the next 20 years, but some Korean pay2win player will make sure you won't ask yourself this question). So yeah, this game is a big no no, the ads show gameplay that is basically the prologue only. Otherwise it's just base building with days necessary to upgrade anything.
Im currently playing it for 6 weeks now. I paid 5 bucks, 2 bucks for a top 3 legendary hero and 3 bucks for a second builder. I must say, there are whales out there but lets be fcking honest its a damn mobile game where you just touch stuff and loot stuff. I dont go home and play this Game all day, i play it while waiting or having lunch at work. Its really fun especially if you join alliances. I dont even need to buy the ingame diamonds because you get tons and tons of them, i collect around 10k per week. Ofc if you want to go down the whale road its possible. But for playing it while small occasions its fun. For me atleast

Funny thing : As I was trying play your video a Last War ad popped up, this game is so affraid about people exposing their game that just play ads that talk about those fake ads.
I played last war, but i found that after beating the story it gets boring and you have to join an alliance and level up and it takes too long plus people in alliance wants you to contribute but i wasnt looking for a multiplayer game they started with a story around your whole village finished that then it wanted me to get my level up but it took a week to get my level up and kept getting attacked by random players and it was just boring after i got higher up in levels it got not worth playing
They added a mode called Frontline Breakthrough, which is actually like the ads. But it's clearly something that's tacked onto the main game for the purpose of shutting people up. And ironically it's more fun than the main game.
As someone who started playing for the past week and has joined an alliance and gotten a lvl 10 headquarters I'll answer your question a little more specifically. 1. There's a base-expanding mini-game which uses heroes: heroes you unlock and level up like every other mobile game. This mini-game is fairly simple and less about math and more about obstacles-avoidance. However, there are still things to destroy or "collect". 2. Frontline Breakthrough. This mini-game is similar to the ads in that you start off with one unit and have to figure out which path and which rewards to choose from. These rewards can be more troops (and you shoot the target to increase troop count). A stronger unit like a flamer or jeep. Upgraded weapons (represented by an AK) which deal more damage. It's less about math and more about figuring out which path is best. It's more of a puzzle actually. 3. Special Ops. If you noticed, this game actually starts out having you do Special Ops (check out the result screen and it'll say Special Ops 1 or Special Ops 6 for examples. THIS is the math game most people are looking for. So you have 3 different mini-games that have a similar feel, but have different ways to complete them. The first 1 is kind of the "main" one as it's going to expand your base giving you more room for more buildings. However, this IS still a free mobile game so there are plenty of ways this game is looking for money from you. As he said, resources and timewalls exist. And he's right, level 10 and most buildings seem to take 4 hours to upgrade. Not a problem for me so far because there are far more things to do. Join an alliance. Complete events. Complete daily tasks. And who needs to be on their phone all the time? This gives you a reason to finally put down your phone when you hit a timewall. If you're active, you can continuously earn enough gems to get the 30-day VIP. I bought it (with gems not money) about 5-6 days ago and already have enough gems to buy it again in when it's time. Being part of an alliance is a half the game. If you don't want to be part of an alliance there are just some things you won't be part of and miss out of those rewards.
Every mobile game seems to do this, you'd think at least one person on the marketing teams would have a guy who's seen a real person playing a game before
@@WalrusLimePiei think I heard somewhere that they are making the narrators bad ON PURPOSE. it's a weird strategy. Probably to get people to look at their game. Same concept as having a ad were the person makes a bunch of clearly wrong choices, lose the game, and say it's such a hard game. They want you to say "oh this people are dumb AF" and you go to play the game to show it isn't hard.
To level up the headquarters from lvl 16 to 17 I have to wait 36 hours 😢 and thats just one building there's like 60 building you have to level up. Takes way to much time, unless you wanna buy the very expensive packages they offer to help you level up quickly.
Being so done with false advising i assumed they were lying, it is real to get real advertising like ark knight and raid shadow legends rather refreshing.
Mobile gaming companies over reached. They tried to squeeze every penny and used every misleading tactic, now the vast majority of gamers don’t even think twice about mobile gaming. I only searched out this video to see how comically different the game was to the ad, and I wasn’t disappointed.
I've seen Evony of all games mimic this style of gameplay in its ads, which doesn't even make sense for the time period that game is supposedly set in. I was so sure this one was going to be fake too. But... it's real? Sure, there's base building in it, but the gameplay actually has some thought put into it. I've always noticed small weird things in the fake ads, like in the Evony one how the number for the weapon they're trying to get actually stops counting down so it was impossible to get it even in the ad, but this one seems to pass the smell test. Color me shocked, for once.
I actually tried this out of pure curiosity knowing that the ads were fake. And the gameplay does change the further into the story/gameplay. It is a base building game. Still not a bad game.
Not sure if you are aware but the last war have used your footage in their ads now so either you are wittingly or unwittingly part of the flase advertising now
No, it's the similar style of play, I've seen a tonne of their adverts and sadly you're not featured. Otherwise you could hopefully make some money out of them.
I actually play this everyday. It’s awesome and there are some scenes in the game that are like the ads . I don’t regret playing at all . I joined a great alliance and the ads aren’t identical, they’re just an old beta version of the idea of the game. Special ops is what gets you the missions like on the ads
It's almost like the ads just like what it claims, since much of the battle gameplay involves growing your troops as they rush forward and defeat enemies.
I swear I’m so confused. I always would see those ads for those mobile games and kind of just due to internet experience going back to 2002 when I first when online and saw “you’re 99th customer and won the prize!” Pop ups. To automatically assume that the games would be bullshit and not deliver. So then I see an ad with Antony Starr where he’s saying he’s playing the real game not the fake one from the ads and I’m like wtf so I’m watching your video and I honestly can’t tell what is even going on. So there are tons of ads for different games promoting a similar looking game with similar gameplay but the games themselves never are what they promise and they not only suck but are illegal nefarious money vampires. But this game, Last War, is similar to one of those games , Top War, but this one actually does play like the ads of the fake games promised they did? I’m not even that old and I feel ancient.
We need creators to start a collective so that UA-cam understand we're getting fake game ads rammed down our throat. Remember that king game that pretended it was a puzzle solver but it wasn't, it was a base builder, then they started posting ads like top war and all of a sudden they disappeared
I've been trying to actually find a game that's like the ads for these games. Every time you see it the person playing it sucks and it makes me want to dominate the game

I'm a 29 year old man with good self. control and discipline and let me tell you, I have never been so addicted to a game. Never spent a $ on it but I realised in real time how this game was engineered to have you hooked. From the beautiful graphics to the thousands of notifications you have to press which all trigger an animation and reward, to the goal-pursuit mechanism it activates in your brain. It's scary. You can play the game for free, as I did, but as challenges get harder you need to upgrade and it takes TIME (upwards of FIVE hours)...unless you pay..$1, $5, $20, $50...$150... Undoubtedly this company is making a fortune off of kids. I downloaded the game yesterday and before I knew it I had +8 hrs play time. And whenever I was not playing I had an urge to open the app on my phone. I deleted the game today
Fr, i thought like i was getting an aneurysm playing it. It requires no strategy, the gimmick they presented is totally false, there are no riddles except for this one feature that finally lets you play the advertised game but you gotta wait for 4 hours to unlock the page of levels
I'm 15, and I couldn't even play for 15 minutes because of how boring it is, If your finding this fun and addicting there's something wrong with you or your just old lol

Blame google for letting them refute every callout in the reviews with no consequences.
The gameplay is similar to the Ads, but the graphics is totally different.
I just deleted Last War from my phone literally yesterday lol. It matches the ads more, but they have jammed so many unnecessary features into a single game. I reached a point where I had to start using real money on it, in order to proceed - so that's a no from me.
Ah that's a shame, can't say I'm surprised after seeing those timers on building stuff, always takes away from the actual gameplay people are looking for
Man WHO is so damn lost and playing real Money to this Trash..? I mean... Wtf?
@@WalrusLimePie it's the whole point of these games
if the gameplay was exclusively the same as in the ads there would be less opportunities for micro transactions
At what point did you spend money? I had 3 purple characters, and the others, upgraded up to like LVL 47. I was at the level 50ish(but couldn't get further)No money spent, but there was something I couldn't do without actually purchasing something. Can't remember which building I was having to upgrade. Game is a sh++, bait and switch scam.
I've been playing it this last week and have been having a pretty good time with it. It's like most builder games, you have to wait for things to upgrade or build so that shouldn't surprise anyone. They give tons of rewards daily that reduce times, your allies can help reduce time as well. Haven't felt like I have to buy something and I'm at level 12 headquarters now. I guess if you only went off the ads you'd expect something different, but most games are advertised like that. The best most interesting features are shown, and the less desired are to be found in game lol.
Is this video secretly a fake game ad? If so, it's very well done.
Haha if only I was clever enough to pull off an ad as smart as that 😂 but no, can guarantee no walruses were paid in the making of this video
This crossed my mind lol
"Does he know hes an add? DOES HE KNOW HE IS AN ADD" Jimmy from South Park (was originally she, but i dont think the person in the video is a she).
@@WalrusLimePie if you play further you notice it's a wait and upgrade kinda waste of a game. You battle less often.
@gimmieboy they have to try and make money somehow
here in middle east, the ad littearlly says "all arabs are playing this game" hillarious.
No way
They probably updated the gampley, because I've seen older gameplay content from other people, and it looked nothing like what it is now
Had to find an ad of someone playing this game competently so that i wouldnt actually download it myself
The recent ads of Last War: Survival Game that I kept on seeing were the ones that always say:
Playing Games People Say Are Fake Part 5
and also
You want me to play a fake game?
Look, what happened to the first 4 parts of this 'Playing Games People Say Are Fake' thing? I don't care if I want you to play a fake game!
The irony of this video being sponsored by Last War, and the ad being one those 'I dOn'T kNoW wHy PeOpLe SaY tHiS gAmE iS fAkE!' ads...
They got Anthony Starr a.k.a Homelander promoting it.... nasty work!
My ad for this video was you guessed it, last war survival
I've been playing Last War for a few days so glad to see you did a video on it. It's one of the more tolerable games on it's genre but nothing special.
Yeah seen a few more ads cropping up for it since this video as well so seems to be growing, definitely nothing out the ordinary but glad the adverts are *usually* accurate at the very least
It’s better than gotcha games in my opinion. Unlike those dopamine gambling MOFO induced games. This is just go and play for 10 minutes or 2 hours what ever you want. And if you miss a few days nothing is missed out.
@josegar30 Technically the word is "gacha", from Japanese, but gotcha is pretty appropriate 😅
I got an ad for this game before this video and it's hilarious to me how they have a guy stop playing on the facecam to say that "they made a game out of all the fake ads" while the game on the bottom is STILL GOING
I get so pissed off when I hear "do you want me to see me play a game?" when im just trying to listen to music😂😂😂.
The fact that i got an last war ad from clicking on this video is insane💀
I dont understand why they don't just...make the game like the ads?
It's bizarre. Like why? What is the actual reason? There must be because more than HALF of mobile game ads here are fake
Is there any game like that for iOS?
Cuz it makes no money, the only reason they show that in the ads and not their actual game is to make money of the ads
Ad for this before the video starts is the cherry on top.
I just got the ad and it had Anthony Starr in it on this video
@@nachgemacht_975 In the F2P economy, you learn that the more items and premium money you're given for free, the worst it is in terms of balancing and pay 2 win.
@@MajorZeroCELL Yeh, but it depends how you feel to play. If you want to tryhard, there is no way around whaling. If you want to spend half an hour a day, its for me perfect.

@@MajorZeroCELL Just wanted to give my 2 cents. No front bro
I got a last war ad on your video
(Edit- maybe I'm talking about Top War. I'm not sure anymore lol)..
My problem is, they blatantly lie in the ads. There are like 5 ads of the same exact video but with different voices all pretending they're playing. But like I said, every bit of the video is identical.
Also, the graphics looked a little better in the ad, but that's to be expected. At least the game is similar to the ad though, that's a plus.
the funny thing is that the game has an 8 hour countdown timer to rescue the agent from the bomb. but i've been playing this game for over a week and she's still sitting there waiting. The game is not designed to rescue her in that time. Its just to encourage people to Pay to Win
You sure that wasn't an event?
I saved her xD
As someone who has downloaded mobile games from ad’s just to check them out and find that they are nothing like advertised. It’s refreshing to see a game thats honest. Still looks terrible and I will not be playing it. Thanks for the vid!
I look for these kinds of videos every time I see an ad that looks identical to one that was advertised a few months to a year ago
I literally have an ad for last war with the new campaign specifically noting that it's not a fake game below this video. This is the dystopia we deserve
The thing is also thay they're using AI art for the portraits.
The portraits animations look too weird to be human too
My favorite part is getting the ad for this game just prior to this video
Funny thing : As I was trying play your video a Last War ad popped up, this game is so affraid about people exposing their game that just play ads that talk about
those fake ads.
they got houselander advertising it 💀💀💀
House lander 😂
I played last war, but i found that after beating the story it gets boring and you have to join an alliance and level up and it takes too long plus people in alliance wants you to contribute but i wasnt looking for a multiplayer game they started with a story around your whole village finished that then it wanted me to get my level up but it took a week to get my level up and kept getting attacked by random players and it was just boring after i got higher up in levels it got not worth playing
Oh come on, the game still doesn't match the ads. This is just a well disguised ad itself.
This is interesting and it matches the ads well including the portion where you must use Heroes to advance

@@StevePostsRandomContent23 so what?
They must have updated the game because the gameplay looks like the ads now as of May 2024?
They added a mode called Frontline Breakthrough, which is actually like the ads. But it's clearly something that's tacked onto the main game for the purpose of shutting people up. And ironically it's more fun than the main game.
My favorite ad was the one where they make fun of people who call them out.. then they proceed to play the fake gameplay and play like a idiot
Real, i thought for a second that It was genuinely, then it was still bait, so cringe
I got a last war ad when I clicked on this video
I got a last war ad at the start of the video
I keep getting these damn ads. One i keep getting is one guy saying "you want me to play a fake game? Ok!"
The ads sound so scripted. Some of the times the voiceovers are way too late reacting to something
Every mobile game seems to do this, you'd think at least one person on the marketing teams would have a guy who's seen a real person playing a game before
I once got a "trying games peolld say is fake pt 5" and later got the exact same gameplay without him
@@WalrusLimePiei think I heard somewhere that they are making the narrators bad ON PURPOSE. it's a weird strategy.
And of course I got an ad for Last War at the end of the video. Of course I did.
Thanks for ur honesty boss
Really appreciate it
I just got an ad of this game before the video started😂
how ironic that i got an ad for last war survival game before watching this lol 💀
Being so done with false advising i assumed they were lying, it is real to get real advertising like ark knight and raid shadow legends rather refreshing.
Have you seen the latest add of the girl in the bath tub, saying it's real her hand is not even tracking properly over the tablet. 😂😂😂
"Playing games people say are fake.... Part 1"
Saw an ad for dark survival and it used gameplay footage form inside
Literally had a Last War add before your video 😂😂😂
Mobile gaming companies over reached. They tried to squeeze every penny and used every misleading tactic, now the vast majority of gamers don’t even think twice about mobile gaming. I only searched out this video to see how comically different the game was to the ad, and I wasn’t disappointed.
If it matches the ads is it really a clone?
From a gameplay angle I agree it's not a clone, but that blue helmeted soldier is enough of a clone to put Dolly the sheep to shame
It ain't half bad, I've been playing this past week. I like its online so you get to chat with people and troll hehe.
The sad thing is, the ads look more polished and the animations are more detailed than the games themselves. That is just so sad and pathetic
When watching this video a last war ad was below the video
instead of advertising strategy games as arcade games, why not make arcade games?
No money making
I actually tried this out of pure curiosity knowing that the ads were fake. And the gameplay does change the further into the story/gameplay. It is a base building game. Still not a bad game.
Not sure if you are aware but the last war have used your footage in their ads now so either you are wittingly or unwittingly part of the flase advertising now
Wait for real haha? Got a link to it so I can check it out?
No, it's the similar style of play, I've seen a tonne of their adverts and sadly you're not featured. Otherwise you could hopefully make some money out of them.
I actually play this everyday. It’s awesome and there are some scenes in the game that are like the ads . I don’t regret playing at all . I joined a great alliance and the ads aren’t identical, they’re just an old beta version of the idea of the game. Special ops is what gets you the missions like on the ads
Honestly a game like that with base building makes sense. It’s basically a roguelite game where the base is the upgrade mechanic.
It's almost like the ads just like what it claims, since much of the battle gameplay involves growing your troops as they rush forward and defeat enemies.
i always assumke tht it's fake when i see those ads :)
it's either fake or taken frm a so called bonus lvl from somewhere in the game :)
Twitter brought me here thanks to Community Notes
I got an ad for last war vefore the video about the game last war :/
I been playing this game for a while now and the game is actually pretty good and I haven’t spent a single penny on this game
TRUE BRO EVERYBODY SAYS THIS GAME IS SHIT WHEN ITS ACTUALLY GOOD AND IF IM BEING REAL THE AD LOOKS SHIT BUT THE ACTUAL GAME IS GOOD
We need creators to start a collective so that UA-cam understand we're getting fake game ads rammed down our throat. Remember that king game that pretended it was a puzzle solver but it wasn't, it was a base builder, then they started posting ads like top war and all of a sudden they disappeared
I want the names of the people in the ads and the name of the company and it's whereabouts.
then why doesnt somone make a real version of what we see in the ads. the marketing is already done. just make it and profit.
Wow, I mobile game that is just like what the ad states. Good to hear 👊🏿
This is purely "I can do better than that" advertising
I've been trying to actually find a game that's like the ads for these games. Every time you see it the person playing it sucks and it makes me want to dominate the game
That means the advertising scheme is working on you 100% why don't you go and spend a few dollars on timer skips and coins as well won't you?
that's exactly what the ad is trying to do. You're being hoodwinked.

After being spammed to death like the plague with ads on this game , I finally gave in and tried it out.
No one cares
Fr, i thought like i was getting an aneurysm playing it. It requires no strategy, the gimmick they presented is totally false, there are no riddles except for this one feature that finally lets you play the advertised game but you gotta wait for 4 hours to unlock the page of levels

A pretty sketchy thing all these fake ads do that i don't see mentioned often is that the "player" always makes an obviously stupid decision, usually at the end, to make you want to play to do better than them
