Speechless...Stunned...Stupified...I run out of adjectives for this incredible performance 🙏 Esp around 3:30 when the rhythm section of Colin and Gavin kick in with the divine synth/keyboard work of Richard, the song goes into an another dimension. The band members of PT are the greatest live performers, ever👍🥰
Really, Pink Floyd? 😂 Porcupine Tree is the greatest band and Steven Wilson is the greatest musician of all time. While Pink Floyd is the shittiest group in history!@@utubexman69
Man I've been a fan for years and it's lead me right back to the sky moved sideways, it really is a masterpiece. Man it would he great live richard and gavin make a big contribution to the lineup.
@@skywalker605 from a musician point of view it is not brilliant. They are basically playing at 8th grade level per se. Except for the drummer the drummer is smoking he's the one carrying the band. But that's just my opinion not necessarily yours.
@@maxammo6282 ok agree that 's another cup of coffee . I was impressed by the total performance , the sound and a simple chord progression . I hope they will perform this in Amsterdam next autumn. 😀 a
@@maxammo6282 stop spamming patronization across the entire comment section.. I mean for one of Wilson's earliest works, the Sky Moves Sideways, is a brilliant piece of atmospheric prog.
I'm sorry the live version just cannot capture the magic of the full 35 minute journey. Yet, I would give anything to see them play this live. A few mins later: OMG this is a gem of its own!!
I don't know where this came from last night when I was entirely tripping balls but it was well needed. Still feeling tge after affects and this is bringing my trip back on. Absolutely tremendous 👏🏼
I'd love to learn to write an extended minimalist intro as compelling as the one on this song. 3 mins of basically a simple guitar pattern with one bit where you turn the distort pedal on. Genius
Sorry but Slash is the only man on that stage that still has the talent he had when he was younger. If not more so. Lackluster by the the rest. Even Duff. Axl you gotta respect. He wore his voice out. His vocal style was high and harsh. You can't maintain that into your 50s and 60s
An excerpt of one of my top favourite pieces by PT is always nice to listen to, but although I do respect Gavin Harrison for his outstanding technical skills, I'm not too fond of the double bass drumming here, it changes the mood... I mean this comes from metal and more especially extreme metal and the song was not in that spirit...
I have never heard anyone say SW is an exceptional guitarist, or virtuoso. The same for the other musicians with the exception of GH who is a virtuoso. Where he does excel is in engineering/sound mixing, especially into 5.1 where he’s been nominated for a couple of Grammys. If this is basic, then give me more….
Yes that's seems to be where he spent his time behind the board instead of behind the guitar. With that being said most musicians don't have a clue of what it is to engineer or mix and master a project. He'll most musicians never even make it into a real Studio. But they're experts, experts at being fanboys.
This band deserves more credit
This band was so great and Steven Wilson is a genius
They're back now apparently. Though I wasn't too hot on their new song. Was good but didn't have that special spark that say this song does.
@@MorrisonProductions I absolutely love the new song. But hey one mans poison is another man pleasure. So all good.
*IS :-) glad I can correct you on that, such incredible news

They still are..., fortunately!
I see alot of "this band was great or this band was the best show I've seen" but guys... Their BACK!! NEW SINGLE "HARRIDAN" AND NEW ALBUM JUNE 2022

This is exactly the essence of psychedelic music of the late 60's early seventies
I guess you've never seen Pink Floyd in concert
Really, Pink Floyd? 😂

Super interesting to see the origins of the sounds for Veneno Para Las Hadas are from live variants of The Sky Moves Sideways.
Never noticed this before. But I can totally hear it!
Great bass playing.
Gavin Harrison is a Great, Great drummer!!!
I always come back to this video. Sublime
Porcupine Tree are Gods in awaking emotions.

Very impressive performance , brilliant guitar sound
You can't be serious this is as basic sick as it gets. You must not play guitar parently.
@@maxammo6282 this is brilliant in its simplicity. My opinion, not necessarily yours 😀

The only prog band that doesn't insult the 60's and 70's
Not the only one
It's always nice to just listen...
I've been looking for that final part for a while.
❤❤❤❤❤ beautifuuuul all porcupine !

Right on dude! Sounds like good time for the soul!
Steven Wilson e Companhia só nos trazem maravilhas da música!!!!!!
i'd really love to hear the full version of this track with Gavin on drums

"Wire The Drum" with Gavin...I'm praying and hoping SO much that they'll play this one again in 2022...I will be paying whatever I need to lol.

They Where Just Superb!!!
It's the gain Harrison show.fucking awesome
Incredible
Agreed but surely should get back together, otherwise Porcupine Tree will only become an old memory. I'm having difficulty going there
no need, they just released a new single!
Yeah, I never gave up hope, but it definitely started to dim in the last couple years. So glad Steven surprised everyone 🙂
I love you. And. miss ou son. Alex hilpipre. Porcupine. Tree band. Turned dad onto. Good music. We shared. Did.

Maravilloso, impresionantes esta banda.
This band sounds like Jaguares in live concert (latin American rock band) (album: bajo el azul de tu misterio - live)
It's great 👍🏼👍🏼

Yeah I must say I'm not impressed. Musicianship that is. With the exception of the drummer the rest of the band is pretty basic
any drummer that's with king crimson , yeah he's going to impress, Steven Wilson though is not just a basic guitarist,
@@nrs2052 yes he is compared to the dudes I listen to he's even more basic then slash.
