I used to use a setting in my pc's default audio called "loudness equalization" but that was for other games. My only issue with using that specific 'setting' was that I had trouble telling where gunshots and other such noises come from, sure I could hear it all better, but it wasn't any use to me if I can't tell where it's coming from.

Spatial Audio is very good, you need to find the perfect setting, It does make stuff louder like the wind and stuff but you can disable that type of stuff with your audio in game mess around with the wind a bit, but you can make every sound in the game sound closer to you or medium distance or further away from you. So it disabled it automatically makes the sounds further away because Tarkov has terrible audio. SO make the setting distance around 0-25. I personally use 18, cause too close will confuse you with far shots although might help you always stay on your feet so you will always be prepared, make it like medium, makes footsteps not too close that confuses you, but makes them just perfect and a lot louder. idk give it a try and let me know, talking to everyone watching btw
10 months later --- still no ban on using sonar as it is a equalizer, much like you guys have postfx settings in game... my monitor settings does that for me AND it will adapt my contrast so even if I have it at a high contrast to where i wouldnt be able to see in game due to it... it will adapt for the distance and allow me to keep my contrast at that setting while still being able to see so depending on... if im in a dark setting it will adjust for me. even kernal wouldnt be able to affect the monitor one as its ran off by the monitor itself not the pc
i stopped using sonar because sonar was using a lot of Disk usage, constantly writing on my m.2 970 evo at 4MB/s and upping disk usage to 50%, with reaction times going from 0.1ms to almost 10 ms. i just used the equalizer of my headsets transmitter which does practically the same but less advanced.
Yeah, the equalizer increases the imput lag, and if the shadows in Tarkov are on low, the processor is loaded, if on medium, then the video card, don’t talk nonsense
I fixed my sound after 2000h of playing Tarkov, turned out I had to turn headphone volume up from 0% to 100%, BSG didnt tell me that ... still cant get food stamps, wtf is wrong with the audio
for some reason this software isnt picking up any of my devices...when i tried to enable sonar and clicked through all the options it requires, it doesnt pick up anything thus not allowing me to use the software

It's almost like changing an equalizer in a car. Honestly not much bsg can do to detect you changing headphone settings other than if a third party app is running. I get it is an unfair advantage to others that can't do it but I also get everyone has different pcs and headphones. So why would that be any diffrent.

@@michalnebesky791 I have a pretty nice setup and it sometimes causes issues with audio when playing certain games, it seems the program is fine most of the time but under heavy load it isn't well optimised to keep working without an abundance of performance overhead. It's great apart from that, and that issue has been getting better throughout my use of the software

Still unbelievable to me that this game does not have surround sound....a game that requires you to use sound to play well doesn't simulate how we actually hear. Its terrible.

There's no auto record option for EFT actually, you can do clips only by using alt+s keybinds, which is disappointing, cause u never know when you would meet a player

Equalizers are not cheating. Everyone has a different sounding set of headphones and different sounding sound cards. An EQ makes it so everyone can have similar sound

Its good software, been using it for a long time however u might experience audio issues such as audio freezing/tearing and discord calls lags.

i wasnt hearing anything behind me for 3 months in any game because i turned on 7.1 on my motherboard but my headphones had no 7.1 support
