Join me in this episode of Cuckoo Culture as I visit Galaxy's Edge in Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. I've been wanting to build my own lightsaber for a while, and the time has finally come as I make my way to Savi's Workshop to do so. I chose to build the elemental Nature lightsaber; join me for the full experience as well as pricing and my thoughts on the Savi's Workshop experience.
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers Choose Your Path
As you arrive at Black Spire Outpost, a group of people called the "Gatherers" will lead you inside a secret workshop filled with odd components, wacky items, and other knickknacks gathered from the furthest corners of the galaxy.

I had my leader/cast member for my build back in may and he was just as energetic and fantastic as yours! Only thing I wish I had remembered to do was get his name to give him the cast member compliment. The people really do make it feel so immersive. Great build!

Having myself 3 Savi's Hand Built Lightsabers - 2 Power & Control - Version 1 & 2 and 1 Peace & Justice - Version 1. In order to save battery life in your lightsaber. With the blade out of the hilt turn the power switch to the ON position. You will hear the electrical short sound effect. That turns the flashing lights OFF in the inner Kyber crystal chamber which houses the energy pack. When the power switch is in the OFF position the flashing lights inside drain the batteries when the blade is out of the hilt. That is why when you watch the scrapper assistants looking down the emitter end, they are looking at the flashing lights to see if it is operating correctly when the power switch is in the OFF position. That flashing light drains the batteries over time, if you decide to display your lightsaber with the blade out of the hilt. Before you put the blade back into the hilt put the power switch back to the OFF position. Til the Spire!!!

This is so cool! I really need to head down when I get the chance and can afford it lol. Quick question though! What is the process of choosing the design? Like how do they know which set of parts you chose?

@@CuckooCulturethe real reason color Blue, is where the franchise began 1977 and my design lightsaber (Peace and Justice) will be like Luke's second, Cal's and Rey's style lightsabers through all Skywalker saga and my nickname of being part of the Jedi is, Felix Skywalker.

Why didn't they do the activation in the "crystal stabilization chamber"?? Did it malfunction??
I did have malfunction, but they get it lit up for me to raise my saber with everyone.

So are they plastic now?
They don't feel like plastic, they have a good weight to them.
Are the parts metal or plastic....they look plastic, and no offense, but I think the elemental series is my least favorite....but nonetheless, great video....I can't wait to do this in December
Hey no worries! I hope you find the perfect lightsaber! I think the lightsaber pieces feel pretty good, they don’t feel plastic feeling to me, I will do a follow up video once I get back home to Florida in April, thanks for watching and may the force be with you and your build in December.
