- This is one of those days I'll never forget, nonstop action all day fishing a variety of baits from shrimp to ballyhoo off of this bridge in the Florida Keys; catching a huge keeper mutton snapper, plenty of short mutton and yellowtail snappers, grouper, and seeing tarpon and barracuda everywhere.

Fished that bridge for several winters..........you have to fish hard.......and u r a beginner.......lucky if you get a mess to eat.....most muttons are too small and the mangrove are little also. YellowJacks are about the only thing you can depend on. If you get lucky.....u might eat.

I HAVE CAUGHT LARGE RAYS PRETTY FAST, I REMOVED THE WINGS AND HAD RAY MEAT FOR DINNER FOR LIKE A WHOLE WEEKS, GREAT PROTEIN, TASTE GOOD TOO
Rays are ok they aren’t that good honestly it’s good breaded and if you season it a day before it’ll be better. But it ain’t amazing. What setup you use

Every morning I would call the shops to see if they had fresh ballyhoo. Ended up going to captain hooks and the two conchs bait and tackle shop, would buy from both and see which was better quality
