This is a really cool product... but i feel like i would definitely be terrified of shattering it.
It's pretty solid, I feel like you would have to try to shatter it. WIth normal daily use, it should be fine.

Does your glass chair mat move around very much on your carpet?
Surprised no one else mentioned this, and I'm not trying to be the Grammar Police, I've just heard the commercial on the radio lots of times. It is Vi Trazza and the 'i' in Vi is short so like Veh Trazza.
I've thought about getting one, the wife would kill me. But the cheap one she bought me 3 years ago, has wheel spots all over and it is a pain in the A** when you sit for a while and then try to move, not realizing you had stopped in a spot where the wheels had sunk in. I write software and sit way too long, freely admit it. Also, someone asked about the glass breaking, it is tempered glass, meaning it can break, but it shouldn't shatter. They claim to have a formula that toughens the glass to prevent it from breaking. I sound like I'm writing a commercial, and I don't even own one. I think they are a great product. They've been around for a while now. At first, from memory, their prices were high, but they've come down and are certainly at a reasonable cost. I would expect them to last a very long time, which means it would be a great deal based on the price because you will either suffer from old plastic mats or keep replacing them. In theory, this seems great but for a creator like myself, what happens if I drop my tripod or lens or camera on it. Not that I drop it but if i do, is the glass tempered? Seems like a nightmare waiting to happen. Makes a good sponsored video though.

Glass chair matt are heavy and expensive for average home user. Why not just get a multi floor chair casters their wheels glide awesome come in 2 to 3 inches and works on all floors type without damaging them. Which also means not constrained within the boundaries of a chair matt.
That URL in the description is sketchy as hell. I'm tempted to buy the product, but at that price, I have to weigh it against replacing all of the flooring in my office.
I can see that being really cold in the winter. I still would like to know what that paint on the walls is.
