I'm not talking about a long history of evictions I'm talking about a circumstance that causes sudden homelessness for instance when a landlord goes to renew a lease and they raise the rent $500 and then that person can't keep up and it causes an eviction. There are lots of reasons for evictions and they shouldn't be a life hindrance where someone constantly has a noose around their neck.
Every city and state should do a monthly audit covering tax dollars. It should include a breakdown covering usage and the distribution of funds. This should be recorded publicly and made available to all citizens.
if something isnt done fast 1/2 of Arizona is gonna end up Homeless, come on guys.
Why spend drug money on rent?
greed
Why have landlords been allowed to get away with the rent increases like they have they started doing this when COVID hit and has kept going why?
Bidenomics
As long as Corporations like BlackRock and state street are able to purchase 1 in 6 homes in 2024, this problem will only get worse. “You will own nothing, and you will be happy” - Klaus Schwab. World Economic Forum 😈
the dumbest thing you can do is have bills
Lord have Mercy!
I honestly think homeless statistics is almost 30% because in some states if your not on the lease you can claim homeless or basically homeless
HUH, I WONDER WHY
All of our politicians and those who cover for them in the media can afford a couple homes. Why can’t those they supposedly serve afford just one?
Free America from zionizm your country is occupied by dual citizen zionizt foreigners in congress
Maybe people who can't afford a home ought to rethink their vote.
Don't put this on "the community " to help. Get your state in order and fix it yourselves. What am I going to do for a homeless Joe that the state can't do? What about all these pop up neighborhoods owned by these huge building corporations? Can't get any of them to build some displacement housing? Bc you cant make $3k a month off them? Or are all these run down brand new homes that are falling apart pre move in saved just for the rest of us?
💥Children💥Senior Citizens💥 Do not deserve to be thrown away because of the stigma the media attaches to Homelessness.. even this well-meaning piece is filled with an undermining attitude and judgement.
In Little Rock, they are constructing a place for homeless families with ONLY 137 rooms. There are more already built. They never seem to have enough. This won't help at all.
Yeh have you seen how much it costs to rent or own a home?
80k for a trailer home, but most wouldn't consider it
My father's 3 bedroom house is 625 a month. The cheapest studio apartment in my city is 750. Greed and affordable housing is the problem. A studio should cost 400 tops.
625 a month? where do you live?
@bevs9995 Binghamton Ny bought early 2000s 57 thousand now books over 110
$1700 for a 1 bed 500 sqft in Phoenix. I moved out of state, pay 1800 for 3 bed 1800 sqft home now
that's very cheap and if an adult can't afford it that's the problem. I paid $600 for studio 30 years ago when I first stared my career.
Oh, that's where the California homeless are going for the winter!
Hehe, people underestimate how much many of the homeless travel! I was one of them. Especially if it's to be homeless with better weather
The winter weather is nicer in California and the benefits are much better, too. Why on Earth would homeless from California move here? You are making no sense. The homeless are mostly local people who have been displaced by Californians.
@JohnSmith-yi2uj Arizona winter nights are warmer than LAs. Trust me, I've slept outside in both places.
And personally I don't see any benefits in LA as being worth it, they're all overwhelmed and don't have much for new homeless people.
And there are too many types of homeless people to count. I'm sure the group you're talking about is as you say, displaced locals. But there is indeed a large amount of travelling homeless people too
@@exponentialnegative1
You're FOS. Acording to the records, average winter lows are slightly higher in LA. That being the case, why would any homeless person leave LA, with it's much more generous benefits, for Phoenix whicjh hamds out much less welfare? They wouldn't.
Also Arizona has warm weather so a lot of homeless go there
America America America🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
Why would cutting money to schools increase the number of homeless?
Schools feed children. Schools give education which improve job prospects later.
Hmm that must suck, too bad nobody ever helped me when I was homeless.
Get the government out of the real estate development industry. Prices will come down when they stop tipping the scale.
Blue Arizonans…this is what you voted for

the cause of homelessness is 95% drugs and 5% everything else
is it? A lot more homeless asians
and the over 65s ? Drugs?
@@bevs9995Asians have drug problems like everyone else
In other news...available jobs also rises.
All those defenders of real-estate moguls using that price-fixing software that keeps prices and rent so high... it's amazing how they love to watch people suffer.

The racism in America is out of control. They immediately show one black man on the road as the thumbnail.
It'll be more of them and theirs sooner than they realize.

Ah, the phony race card has been played! 😅😂
@ ah you don’t like the truth about how racist white people are

but they wont talk about that homeless black woman in NYC subway
Corporate ownership of single family homes, apartments, and condos is a major piece of the problem. Get scummy investors and wall street our of real estate.
So address it already government.
Putting your hope and faith in government as who should provide solutions to issues is what got us into the horrible situation in the first place
@NeverSurrenderMAGA who else is going to prevent us sending billions overseas ignoring our own citizens?
Moar recent imports moar homeless.
