I always feel the major chords add a sense of false hope. Like that moment where everything is stacked against you and there’s that glimmer of hope as indicated by a sequence of major chords. But it all comes crashing down with one devastating blow from a single minor chord. I think by building up this false hope then crushing it down it’s almost a tease and so lands that much more emotively
@@paulfarrer2720 I think when you oversaturate a ‘sad’ piece with minor chords you end up with a kind of fatigue. It’s like in horror films where the big scare comes right after a moment of silence. You need that reprieve for the moment to land that much harder
@@paulfarrer2720 great stuff as always Paul. I’d love to see a break down analysis of your weakest link theme and/or the original chase theme. Two themes I’d say are probably your best and most famous pieces and it would be fascinating to see who goes into them
@@paulfarrer2720 that’s fantastic. I’ve heard that WL will be coming back later this year which had me thinking about it. I look forward to seeing how you made the music 👍
Hi Paul. I'm a funeral director whose helping a family choose music. They love your "walk on the wild side" theme so I'm asking if it has a name. The crematorium uses Obitus and if it was a track they could acquire then I know it would mean a lot to the family. Thanks for looking at this.
Nice video, I've made a video on the chase theme song/peice you made.

Exactly. It’s just so devastating isn’t it. Build a cathedral of a chord progression then BANG. It’s the hope that kills you.
