What a brilliant video and a great theme tune. If you only heard the theme tune you'd probably guess it was hosted by Michael McIntyre because it's got the massive, over the top feel that you'd expect from him. I love how it drives you towards the crescendo so effectively that you end up involuntarily singing "The Wheel". What ever you got paid for this wasn't enough.
Maybe future video idea: what about a whole process evolution of themes from original ideas and perfomance to how it comes up? For example, what was a first draft of the wheel, chase or heartbeats?
Hey Paul, so much beautiful work from you on this channel. Could you please publish some music of "ITV Duel" like you did it for "1000 Heardbeats" ? Would be sooo lovely :)
That was really interesting to watch how this theme song is broken down into it's separate parts. I really loved hearing how each part plays a role separately and then get to hear them all work together seamlessly. Also, loved the little easter egg thrown in with a stinger from another show. By any chance, would you be able to share some of the earlier versions that you mentioned with the vocals? I'd love to see how this theme as well as others progressed to where they are now. Excellent job as usual, Paul!
I can imagine the original vocals being used over the Tenable theme tune, as that show also has a funky theme tune. Great video nonetheless! Please do an analysis video for Paul Sinha's TV Showdown, as that theme tune goes well with its title sequence.
Hello there the I love this theme tune was singing it! During the lock downs and helped and through it! Lovely music!
Cheers Connor.
YES PAUL! I love these breakdowns of theme tunes.
Next series...celebrity experts on The Wheel...Paul Farrer on TV Theme Tunes!
Please do beat the chasers or dancing on ice next!

Thank you so much for this! You are an amazing composer! 👏 I love all your music!
I always heard a huge influence from Superstition. Really nice video, and the track's still a bop.

Blimey we need more of these breakdowns. In plain English, loads of great info: I love it!

Do they only use this version for the credits? The Sax / Trumpet (forgive my instrument knowledge) is missing from the titles
Would you ever do a project breakdown of the new American Weakest Link theme you're doing?
Yes I was thinking of doing one of those. Might get round to it soon.
@@paulfarrer2720 thank you. Much respect from here in Canada!
Thanks, this was a fantastic walkthrough! Did you record the bass and guitar yourself or are they samples?
Hi Paul, out of interest what software are you using for this as I love to create music too but am looking for the best software. Thanks TNJ
I use Logic on a Mac but honestly any DAW is great if you learn how to use it and can make music fluidly with it
@@paulfarrer2720 Thank you, I have a Akai mini keyboard which I use mpc beats with which is quite hard to use and am looking for some better software.
Take back what you said about slap bass!!
Please upload Gordon Ramsay's Bank Balance if you can!
