"Until You Fall" Nightmare Playthrough, Two-Handed Weapon (One Hammer Style, Slammer)

So the Hammer does a lot of guard damage so I paired it with the Knight Blooded Crest which boosts that even further. Not a super complicated tactic but very effective especially since you don't want to be blocking for long using a large slow hammer lol

Thanks, I actually was just telling someone about in the beginning I practiced mostly with the faster weapons so that may have something to do with it.

When I try to use the hammer to block the fire nights I always end up dying because you can't move it fast enough to block all their attacks. I thought that maybe I was just slow, but then I started to suspect that yeah there is no way to block it. Based on the way you play I suspect that that isn't an option. I need to find a good ability that I can use to burst them down and get them out of there

You know, I don't know if it is possible or not. I just learned early on before I could block well with any weapon that it was best to just avoid fighting them all together when they're mad if at all possible and it sort of just became a habit that stuck with me. If I had to guess, I'd say it probably isn't, the weapon itself I think would move too slow regardless of your speed.

@@Postal268 If I am dual wielding I can block all of their texts That's how I managed to beat the game one time. It's very difficult to do, and you have to have at least one small fast weapon to be able to block them all. With a hammer I tried last night and it's just impossible there's no way. I have to use bulwark and then take them down

I think maybe from beating the final boss? I'll be honest when they added it to the game it just instantly dropped in my inventory but all weapons period should unlock after beating the final boss.
