- Dana Scully was wary of John Doggett at first. But little by little he proved her he was worthy of her trust. They could always rely on eachother; their partnership enabled Scully to stay strong despite Mulder's absence. He was her Angel.

John Doggett is one of my favorites in X-Files, it's a shame that he didn’t return in the X-Files revival.

I know this is Blasphemy, but i actually preferred this team. John was the man. It made me release how whiny Fox was...i still love mulder but prefer John.
It's not blasphemy, it's maturity and sense of what was healthy and interesting.
Scully should have met Doggett before she met Mulder. Then it might have fit. But Scully, who has gone through a metaphysical filtering by Mulder, meets her former self. That's why the two couldn't understand each other.
Need more vids of these two. Yeah, I know FM/DS forever, but love other pairing.

The writers should have let Dana and John be a couple they are great together
I'm pretty sure that Mulder fans would flip their shit if that happened. If it had been Dogget and Skully from the beginning, then yeah. It might have worked.
I was a massive Mulder fan but was always rooting for these two to get together. Robert Patricks portrayal of him was brilliant and you can see the characters have a deep connection in such a short space of time. Doggett would do anything for Scully.

@@helenivanova5440 I don’t think he would have given up his quest for the truth. Feel like Doggett would have stuck by her even if it meant he could die in doing so. Mulder went into hiding when his life was threatened leaving Doggett to look after Dana imo 😁
@@Norfolkinskill i actually had a question, what would Mulder do if there was a situation of obvious choice between Scully's life and his pursue to expose this conspiracy. On the one hand, how can he opt Scully's death? But on the other hand, according to the plot if he doesn't stop the process of colonization Scully will die anyway, together with the rest of mankind.

True friendship? Ha, Scully is a knucklehead. As far as I know, (and I did just finish watching the last two seasons with Doggett/Reyes), not once did Scully ever call Agent Doggett "John." She always referred to him as "Agent Doggett," and she never trusted him. He knew it. I am a huge X-Files fan, but I can't stand Scully. Wahi' Valleys
i wish the writers and directors of this show had put more emphasis on this love triangle and on john and fox mulder rivalry for scully's heart
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? What rivalry? Doggett was not hot for Scully. He cared for Reyes. Either your thought process is an X-File, or you are just joking. Wahi' Valleys

@@wahivalleys3011 - Wrong! In interviews the actor, Robert Patrick, admits to playing the character as though he had fallen in love with Scully. This is obvious and is later addressed in Dæmonicus. Not sure where you’ve been, but they’re several articles and interviews as proof that Agent Doggett was in love with Scully…and truth be known, I think she cared about him as well, she just wasn’t open to exploring it because of Mulder at the time.
@@zackrider3708 - Doggett was the better man for Scully. By S7, Mulder had become a self absorbed ass.
