Ah heck yeah, he’s such a great character actor - really invests and brings something to each one where you as a viewer just innately feel like you know him.
My only problem with s9 was that s8 was a great finale. Mulder and Scully were happy with William, Doggett and Reyes were the newbies, and Skinner was free of Krycek. And then s9 kinda got rid of the happiness s8 brought. Mulders gone, Lone Gunmen get killed off, William has to go, Smoking man returns only to get killed again (then later returns 😂). S9 is alright, it's pretty good, but it could have stopped at 8.

Doggett and Reyes were done dirty by fans. Looking back Season 8 and 9 are great.

So Robert Patrick's admitted that John Doggett was he's favourite role , they will have to make another X Files movie so he can revive the part.
My favorite role of his too! The X-Files is what introduced me to him before I got to see him on T2
