I enjoy your teaching about the wheat cent I just got out of a box of pennies a 1909 . When I first got back into collecting the wheat cent I bought a box of pennies from my bank in August and got a 1910 . There is so much to learn and watching your channel really does help . I went and got a coin micro scope to get a better view of the the coins and less stress on my eyes. I'm not collecting for value I'm collecting because they are my favorite to collect I now have a little over one hundred wheat cents to look at more closely. Thank you for your information videos .
Dear Daniel. Lori is a really kind girl. Just saw your video. I am speechless. God bless you and the knowledge you all passed on to her. She is certainly humble and kind.
You, blue man, and jb absolutely the best, I have a hundred books on coins, and you all have filled in the holes, and I've been gathering since 8yo and now 67. Sincerely thank you is not enough. Also Scott Holiday's generosity in providing coins, thumbs up on all fingers folks!Rick..
Daniel, she is absolutely right from old guys like me to young folks, your help, knowledge, and time u dedicate to help is greatly, greatly appreciated.thanks Rick R
I do in fact believe Daniel, that you deserve the gifts that were sent to you, for all the hard work you put forth gathering this material, and taking the time and patience to explain and teach us about the coin world. What I learn from you, I've actually found myself teaching others, and I can't explain how rewarding that is. Thank you again Daniel for all you've given the coin comunity. We are all very, very much appreciative... good luck searching my friend, and take care.
I have been a trainer in the Clinical / Mental Health world for 25 years. The most high risk families and youth are always in front of me, and sadly, too often at a funeral. I know what I do helps people - but its not the right time often for anyone to say it- and I get it. But once in a blue moon when it happens , I am reminded that many people are helped by what I do- but it is not usually going to be verbalized. I did not get into it for that either. My point is- your writer represents a whole bunch of folks. Remember that!
Thanks Daniel! Invaluable information on the early Lincoln cents. So glad you explain acronyms. I was watching another video and the guy didn't explain acronyms like PUP. He just assumed we all knew. Keep up the good stuff coming!
I see that my friends have said in the comments anything that I would have said. I learn from you while enjoying your video. That was very nice of was it Laurie to send you those copper coins. All the Best ~ Shirl
GREAT video as usual.!!! I would just like to say one thing about your letter you give good information for those of us that watch your videos .!!!.Keep doing them.!!!
Hi Daniel,I seen your video on coins not being graded correctly and I agree with you 100% not every body has to be treated the same BUT EVERY COIN SHOULD BE GRADED THE SAME you are absolutely right on the coins you showed in your video, keep the videos coming I'll keep watching great job thanks for all your information,Rich
What is the best light and magnifying glass is there to find these coins I am going through My father Coin collection and I'm looking to find the one that makes me the money please comment back I live in Connecticut in New Haven Thank you very much for this video
I sure like your videos I’m new at coin hunting & you provide a lot of information, I have a hard time getting rolls of pennies because I’m in a nursing home . Thank You !
I just watched one of ur videos I am new to the coin collecting world and I must say ur videos have been very helpful to me learning coins. I have a 1919 red brown double die west penny how do I go about having it abraded I look to more videos and hope to hear from u on my penny
Here are all my videos, there's a search field, and you can type in your question ua-cam.com/users/CoinHELPuvideos I have 870 videos to choose from. Thanks
Thank you your site has to be the best resource. As I said I have been penny searching since the 1990’s on and off. Oh did I tell you I even found a treasury token in a penny roll? Think of that a coin made to go in the uncirculated packets back in the 40’s . Add this to the two 1884 Indian heads as well. I know from this they must have a big pot of pennies they tap from to make rolls and then box them.
The banks do, people cut up sets to spend and fill holes or thieves do so they don't get caught. The banks have them rolled so you never know what can be in them from time to time if you search enough.
CoinHELPu I was looking at the internet mint site. There was language within that the last mint year for general circulation will be 2019 but I think they might still mint a few 2020 pennies as uncirculated and or proof sets. Might be a good idea for you to order a few of these last sets of mint issued proof sets if you can.
How much can I wash and oil a coin like a copper penny before they grade it cleaned? I try to preserve them this way but I don’t want the cleaned grade.
I have a lot of these that you are showing now Daniel my dad has them in those blue books and pennies nickels dimes quarters and Mercury dimes and buffalo nickels. Unafraid to take them out they have been uncirculated for years my dad has been gone for 19 years now he started this collection before I was born. When I looked in my wheat pennies not that long ago in the book someone stole my 1909 s wheat they punched so hard out that their finger went through the Blue Book it just sickens me. A lot of the other coins were also stolen. But looking at them before I did see some doubling and things you are talking about so I will have to go back and look at them again thank you
I just wanna say I really like the way you handle things. You really take the time out to educate us and show us things and help us out with things to research. Unlike UA-cam just sells us some stuff, but it’s not as accurate as you make it seem as you do the homework and show it to us. I am from Philadelphiaand I have some things I would like to send you a picture of not sure how to send it or email you but if you can send me something I would love to share what I have with you. Thank you again for your time and your patience.
I feel the same as lori. I also appreciate you and Blue Ridge. I also inherited coins from my dad I haven't been through all of them yet but I'm getting there. I have a lot of good ones that you guys have said on the videos with the wheat and that Mercury dimes Etc I get so overwhelmed I just stare at them a lot of times lol I know I need to get them graded I just don't have the money right now to do that. But thank you Daniel you get right to the point and say the truth and help me out a lot
thank you. I enjoy your very informative videos very much. every time I get a special coin I go straight to your videos passing all others. I got a 1909 s in a roll from the bank. but the zero is so warned that it looks as if it was never there. I can barely see the the zero. no good?
Hi daniel iam new in coin hunting recently i found a 1918 penny and i want my pennies to be graded can you give me idea what and how to do it thank you Chris
I am looking at a 1919 Lincoln Cent quite irn. However, when I put it under my coin microscope I could swear I see the Liberty re-punched across Lincoln's left shoulder. The letters are not entirely clear, but they are definitely there. Is there such a doubled die?
Hi my name is Lawrence, good videos very informative and too the point. I came across a 1911 penny pretty worn but still distinguishable. It has mint mark that I can tell. I'm just looking for a bit of advice here I guess. And a value estimate. I know you need to see it. Lmk please. And how can I communicate with you directly? If possible?
Daniel.i found a 1978 Lincoln cent. 3.2.grams of weight..color silver.i do not know if it was plated or a science experiment. It is very cool and pretty..thanks Daniel.

Here is something that really happened, really it did.I wouldn't have believed it if it didn't happen to me. I was working a big box store and checked the big green change counter that people use ( they sometimes leave change in the bottom shute). I found about 20 wheat back penny's that the machine rejected. I quickly scooped these up and went to check the penny holder tray for the horse ride for children.( my daughter rode on it when she was 1year old and didn't believe it, no matter how hard we tried to convince her that the horse was real. She just give us the look that said, "this can't be real, I saw real horses." ) I almost went into shock, the was filled with of wheat back penny's. I don't know if they knew what the penny's were or not, but I hurried to my car and got all the money I had and traded it for the pennys. There was $2.00 worth of wheat back pennys! I have them stored away and I'm going to have to check through them. 😀
I just found a penny on the floor - randomly, and hence watching this video- that says 1909 and has V.D.E on it too, the condition is good, as in you can read everything nicely.
Could be struck on a thin planchet, damaged or struck on a foreign planche or wrong planchet stock. You can post an image here coinauctionshelp.com/forum/index.php
1919 is pretty common as I have found about 5 of them from the Philadelphia mint. I think the 1912 S is the most valuable. But I have found a very nice 1909 VDB but almost all the early first years teens and 20’s you can only find the Philadelphia mints almost none of these years have mint marks. The later books are no problem I have one of these with almost all in red uncirculated coins. I still have to go thru the rolls of years for mint errors. Not much but a few bucks
CoinHELPu again thank you so much. Not longer to find that real special coin. I do know the plastic rolls are gone. My hunch is they came from the Philadelphia mint. The paper rolls come from the Denver mint. I know this because of what I find in them. Perhaps this is a tid bit I can teach you.

1919 is pretty common as I have found about 5 of them from the Philadelphia mint. I think the 1912 S is the most valuable.
