It's hard to believe but there are still early date Lincoln's in circulation. I like to coin roll hunt cents for fun and I have come across many teen's and twenty's in everyday rolls. I'm 67 and have been collecting since I was 8. There is still a lot of fun to be had in the hobby.
Love your channel! I found a large-date 1970-S RB/BR? Lincoln DDO (to the naked eye) that I'm about to send to PCGS. Per them, there are about 50 known! Hope someone wants it! lol
Thanks Daniel. Just when I forget about them, you remind me I have several older boxes. I don't have my inventory including them so I done forgot what I have. I might have a few 31S, 09 VDB's n such but I'm not stashing 09S VDB's. lol
Daniel, Your video's are very good for any type of collectors. I wish I had much of this info long ago but one thing is the most important is dealing with a reputable dealer. When I inherited a lower grade coin collection (some coins were desirable) but I looked at a 1914d penny and I knew right away it was a 1944d cent that was filed down on the 4, wide gap there and a scratch and your heart just sinks not because I lost out but some creep stole from my dad.But your advice on getting a red book or other info should be done before you go out to buy a key date coin.
Thanks Daniel for being realistic , as a Newer Coin collector it sometimes gets confusing trying to figure out what is what and who is not trying to pull one over on people Keep being real!
I have to stop watching your channel Danial you’ve got me thinking about those water cooler bottles full of pennies in the back of my closet I’m still looking at my old collection from when I was a young lad thanks for rekindling my interest in my old coins
Daniel another great video I do have the 24 Red book looking to get the 2025 Redbook soon but as you said I did take notes thank you so much for your valuable information
I have a 1919 dark in color, trying to find the value. it's dark but in really good condition, it's way expensive to get each coin graded. I wish I had the finances ti do this!
Is there anyway I could get in touch with you on an email the first person I found in years that I actually trust and you explained your whole coin collection so accurately
We do not offer help like that, not on the phone or emails and we don't examine wheat cents. you can use our coinhelpu community if you need some help with a coin or two.
What’s up , I love how you explain the value on these coins, I have a question how much is the 1943-S and 1943 no mint mark steel penny value.because my home is going through foreclosure and I don’t want to lose me and my family home . I also have other coins and I would love to sell them if they can help me pay off my mortgage.can you please send me a list of some coins that you no it’s value is high. I owe close to 300,000.00 on my mortgage. Thanks for your help and may God Bless you and your family.
Like that you are kid friendly Dan just found out my 8 yo nephew is a collector and am going to recommend yours and coin geeks channel for him to watch so he can learn the fundamentals. I appreciate you. 'When I tell someone I appreciate them, I mean that I build them up. Make them more valuable. whether it be talking them up to others or helping them with a project that helps their financial security.'
Crazy part is a lot dealers charge over that HIGH retail and most are at that retail but you can bet they won’t pay you near retail either but it baffles me how many dealers or sellers never look at pricing before they put there coin up for sale
They do look at the price guides, some just paid too much to have the coins while others try to be market makers and think the price guides are not updated.
Seems like also many coin dealers set their prices with room to haggle. Wich is fine they can run their business how they choose. I'm just not big into haggling on small items so if I see something priced higher then I want to pay I just move on.
That has nothing to do with the status of semi key date or not. It’s obvious you just like drama. I can find any Lincoln Cent key date or semi-key date for sell, that has nothing to do with it. The 1909 VDB is sought after, it's value is demand and survival rate based, most are in bad condition or low grade and it is the lowest mintage for a Philadelphia minted wheat cent. It's considered a semi-key date by most everyone in this hobby and the value proves that.
I would think the 1922 no mm would be the most counterfitted coin ! I did get taken awhile back buying a 1807 liberty $1 and funny it weighed out pretty close to the real thing ! Cool coin tho ! Sad there are sellers asking 100's even 1000's for these fakes on E-bay ! Buyer beware !
I don't care what Rick says, he doesn't make them or get to name them, the US Mint makes them and the US Mint calls them pennies and cents, either way. Britain calls there's pennies or a penny. It doesn't even matter, it's a petty argument. Our five cent isn't a nickel nor is our ten cents a dime, but that is what we call them.
Ther exclusive attention given on your videos to U.S. coins and notes tells me that, like nearly all of small coin shop operators in America, you ignore the rest of the world. I'm an American in possession of numerous complete sets of Mexican, Canadian, Swiss, French, German, Italian, Greek, etc. coins of many denominations; but know that I would not get full market value for them here if I were to try to sell them. It's frustrating. Why not expand your interests and inventory?
Why not become the dealer you expect me to become? We do deal in world coins, but our market is US coin, that is our customer base. Also you will have no problem finding dealers who will buy your coins. Try Stacks out of Nee York.
Awesome 👍 my favorite cions in video thank you Daniel!!!!! I had at one point four 1909 vdbs one was so damaged it wasn't worth much more than a penny. I don't have those key dates , but who knows maybe I'll get them in penny boxes from the bank. I won't buy those off any websites. I will however buy them when I can afford them from you if you have them. Thanks again for doing this video on my favorite coins.
You're not disagreeing with me, you're disagreeing with the facts. Mintages or rarity don't mean anything, it's survival rate and demand that creates a key date. The value over all these years show it is a semi key date, there's no argument about it.

Daniel.. Excellent video. As you mentioned, counterfeits of the keys are very plentiful. In my experience, the counterfeits are probably made from pure copper, and do not contain the other metals present with copper in the genuine coin. As a result, the color tends to be a little darker than the genuine coins, although environmental exposure and/or chemical treatment might render a counterfeit coin with close to the "normal" color of a genuine coin. I found many of my coins off the ground 1955 52 57 1920 1944 1959 1961-D 62 63 64 all of the 60s ,70,80, 90
I found a 1920 and a '32 d in great shape recently, they are out there you just have to look every time you get change
Fair and balanced that’s what I love about your channel. Thank you for bringing this knowledge to us collectors and stackers.
I really like the toning on these pennies. Some people like me can't afford the submission price for grading

Thank you Daniel!! Great source of information
Got time to do Indian head cents? Thanks for the info sir.
Well, at least you are mentioning real prices, others are mentioning to be worth MILLIONS!!
Thank you Daniel. That helped !
Thank you Daniel
Entertaining and educational. 👍
Thank you! Super informative!
Good stuff Daniel, thank you for the insight.
my red book is from 1964...gift from an uncle
Thank you!❤
Daniel Son, thnx bub 👊🤙✌️
Good information and thank you Daniel.
Hi Daniel, how are you feeling today ?
Another great video Daniel.
Thank you for your answer, Daniel,I’m just wondering, how much value does a penny lose because of carbon spots?
Thanks Daniel. Wish I could afford just one. I don't do eBay for coins.
You don't have to buy from ebay to get any coin.
@@CoinHELPu I know! 🤣
I am so interested in this. I'm gonna send you some pics of my wheat pennies and some other coins if I could.
We don't help online like that, you need to find a local dealer to help you.
How is it going thanks for the info
#1, always appreciate the effort you put in to give us a better understanding of the coin hobby/business. Hope you and your family are all well!

Hi! I haven’t seen any videos on TV. I have a Penny I found in a Bank roll. Where can I send pictures so you can see it.
Great educational video Daniel!
Nice job 😊😊😊
Bueno bueno Daniel I agree and got a teen and a thirties roll to go through, fun fun fun. Thanks for sharing and L&L2U always...BmB
Hello I have been looking for pennies for a long time and if I can I'm ready to sell some of my coins
Daniel, another informative video. Thank you. I thought the 1972 penny was another highly counterfeited?
Why would that be counterfeited? It’s not worth anything unless it’s a major doubled die.
@@CoinHELPu I’d heard they were split and replaced with a counterfeit obverse and this was done , but there was a die chip on the real ones
No, that is not accurate, you have it mixed up with another coin. 1972 cents are not worth anything special.
@@CoinHELPu okay but the 1972 cents had doubling correct?
@@billweinholtz154 this is where you should do research., Use varietyvista.com and look up 1972 doubled dies.

@@CoinHELPu thanks 🙏 for your help, I appreciate it.
My wife said I have a weak D. I didn't know she was talking about a penny. When did she become a coin collector?

Some humor in the comments

I have a 1951 d penny with the L touching the rim. eBay has a massive price range. Can you provide me with some feedback on the value? if any.
It's not worth anything extra, you look at sold auctions sold by reputable dealers and not what someone is trying to sell coins for.
Thank you for your help.
I have a 1969 s penny. How do I know if it's worth money. Looks double die to me but not sure
Thank you for keeping us updated
Good stuff
Do you recommend buying a raw or slabbed 1909-S VDB from a reputable coin dealer? How does a collector fill his Dansco slot with a 1909-S VDB?
Buy a fake and a authentic slabbed version, put the fake in the holder and mark it as such.
I have a 1909 penny what would a good price
Etsy is a cesspool of phony coinage, it's where to go to see fakes
Is 1944 copper penny worth any money? I read stuff but you would probably know best..
Please buy you a 2024 Red Book. You got to own a price guide to do this, not the Internet.
Well if coin dealers want them that tells me something, so why would I sell mine ?
There are >3,000 90-vDB Lincoln cents for sale on ebay.

sure i have a 1910 an 1911 thats in seriously surprising condition.. I'm so willing to sell. make an offer 🤷 also an inverted bat face quarter. 🤗
Take them to a local coin dealer and have them appraised.
and lots of other odds n ends .. that i cant even explain professionally 🤷😏

What’s making the dealers want the coins Now??
Dealers have always wanted them "now".
Why are the 16s through 20s not of value? Just curious. I found a 24D last week :) 🕊️🕊️🕊️

No and no. Some already have them and all you can do is store them properly away from humidity and gasses and such.

The 22-P you made a mistake talking about it.
No such thing as a 1922 P, all were minted at the Denver mint. So you made a mistake when trying to correct me.
