This could have been so much better if you had provided a wiring diagram to match the specific parts on the tractor but valiant attempt to clarify things.
Thanks for showing a close-up of the wiring attached to solenoid. I was able to salvage a bird's nest wiring job somone did after probably a 30 pack of schlitz
*Built well, **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend plugged right into my rider 4500 series. Was short the rubber cap key and was was sent right out in the mail. Just ordered another ignition switch for my 6500 rider.*

Don’t see a ground wire on the four post starter relay, but it must be there if it’s working.
Unit is grounded
Where does the blue wire lead to on the motor its on the same plug as the red one next to the starter
