Some of this is rooted hundreds of years back, wars, rivalry, politics, religion. In US, sports is a pass time thing, in Europe it's life. Cultural differences, you don't get our approach to sport, we don't get your approach to firearms. Not saying i condone any of the actions shown in this video, personally i don't consider these people fans, they just bullies. There are other ways to show your disagreements, rather than doing harm or putting other people in danger.

Passion and sports can get a bit heated at times, especially in Europe and South America, but fortunately, these events rarely happen for it to not be much of an issue.

    To use a famous quote
"Some people say football is a matter of life and death i can assure you its much more serious than that"

It’s a petrol bomb not a flare, it is called a pitch not a field. It is called a football match.

you say it can't be that serious but pretty much everywhere outside of the US does take it this seriously... match day is like going into battle for the fans... and its all about pride... its very very serious... and when it comes to throwing flares/petrol bombs at the opposition players that's because they'll do whatever it takes to win... there's real hatred between football clubs... its hard to describe to Americans because sport over there isn't taken anywhere near as seriously and there's not even a fraction of the amount of history... so its just something that unfortunately Americans will never truly understand... think of it as going to war and not as going to a sports game... that's the best I can do in describing it.

I would guess they draw the line at firearms and knives. Police and them have an understanding so situation does not escalate. It did escalate before, that is why police avoid shooting at fans.
If you really want to know more about their side try this video:

we coming to watch our club, no player is above the club no matter who he is, the club is the only thing that is important and the players should give everything for the club each game we don't like slackers, but attacking players by fans is very rare usually it's not happening.

I always chuckle when isee a fight at some US sports event and they call it a massive brawl.
Our rivalries are serious and at sometimes a bit too volatile 😅

4:57 it is this serious, and it is more serious than this, it's not like some show which you get in USA, it's the way of life for us

I grew up with ultras. They are everywhere in Europe. Riots can occur but it's usually because of politics, club not performing, or they hate the coach. In generall the influence of ultras on the club is way bigger than in USA. When ultras are fed up with a coach, manager, or owner of the club they will make sure a change will happen. The club has no ability to ignore that. They will be visited at their houses.

In football ever since back in the day politics has been part of it so sometimes you can see people being passionate because they were somehow affected by it

I was at the Romania s game agains Poland, For two days there was fighting in the center of the city, benners of some Polish ultras brigades were captured (in ultras culture if your brigade's banner is captured, your brigade is disbanded )

    • @radu4281
      @radu4281 10 місяців тому

The fighting in the stadium started when the Polish ultras started shouting "Hungary" and "Ria Ria Ungaria" (For context, Hungary is the neighbor with whom we have the worst relations, for hundreds of years Romanians have been discriminated against in Hungary, we also had a war with them in 1919-1920)Immediately after they started shouting, the Romanian ultras broke the security chains and beat the Poles, capturing several banners

Europeans are very passionate about the beautiful game :D it's a part of football. That it goes this bad is Very rare though. But for instance, supporter groups in Sweden have confronted players and the leadership between matches if they are unsatisfied with how things are run.

Well, a lot of Rivalry‘s between Teams are sometimes more than 100 years old and sometimes cities or Regions of Teams have beef for literally more than 1000 years. If you mix it with passion, loyalty, Religion, politics, social issues etc. You will get that. It’s bigger than just sports and some Fans are willing to go to the absolute End if he feels like his club is getting Disrespected, that’s why you should never talk trash about a club someone is supporting, because there is a fair amount who will defend the honor of his club with violence, Americans will never understand that because they don’t have the same level of loyalty and Historical connection to the clubs they „support“.

While some times the moments of violence and delaying the game itself are wrong and deserve to be condemned, there are those times were it actually benefits the sport. In the US it's just another game, in Europe and the rest of the world, is an avenue to let your opinions. No one can ignore a packed stadium of fans protesting something, that ranging from corruption of the football federation or the team itself, to broader political and cultural issues. There are times were it's just pure violence due to rivalries or historical and religious hatred that should be stopped, but at the same time you can't turn your back to the positive aspects it can have

More football fan reactions please 😇. Greets from Amsterdam🌷 Football fans do get stadium bans, and clubs can get fined for the bad behaviour of their fans inside a stadium. In some places to get in to the stadium you have to give ridiculous ammount of personal information: name, mothers maiden name, adress, palm print(!), etc etc.

sometimes the fans come to the training and strip the players down naked because they don't deserve to wear the shirt of the club they fight for.
Players are not untouchable stars here if they don't leave their heart on the field or if after bed games go out at night clubs often they get a few punches and thrown out by fans from the club, and need to go home and prove their dedication to jersey they have in next games or they can't go out in the city because it could be dangerous for them

In our little city fights we attack the trains with them our opponent fans come. 😂😂😂. But that you never can understand. 2000 years of real war history. In america both teams sing the american national anthem. We are not one nation. We are 30 nations and 1000 city clubs. We are fans for our nations but first for our city.

I don’t mind a bit of flair tennis (flairs thrown back and forth) as we call it or fights and so on but bangers and bombs ain’t it. Because even though there’s ultras sections non active supporters stand there too, non ultras that can get hit.

This is nothing.. you don't want to watch football in Africa.. in Africa.. referees and footballers have been killed.. its no joke..
Football is life in Africa. People used voodoo and juju.. to put that at the end of the goal post at midnight before the game starts the next day. Its unbelievable. .

No, they don't have a reason. Attacking from a distance is cowardly. Kids are crying in the stadiums, it's killing football.
The only reason, is if you get attacked in your own city.
