It’s football country rivalry, the USA hasn’t really had time to evolve to football life. Europe is different.

This went on for 2-3 days
Scary thought imagine the same level of passion and animosity but with gun ownership thrown into the mix as well.
This was certainly before a football (soccer) game in the city of Marseille (France). It looks like the troublemakers were English fans. Some of them can be wild after a few drinks. But the "hooligan" phenomenon was worst in many European cities back in the 80s and 90s.

I think it started because of some drunk English fans, who are infamous for their bad behaviour on international tournaments. And the craziest thing was that the next World Cup after this tournament was in 2018 in Russia and people thought that this will repeat again between Russians and English fans, but surprisingly that World Cup was considered the safest and most well-organised among other tournaments by many
It was started by the Russian ultras who gave warnings via videos etc to the English fans.
The English fans are no longer organised into firms and most with football banning orders cannot travel when England are playing so in essence they are attacking normal blokes who have had a few to many and have done no sort of training.
You notice a few times in the clips you'll see around 30 blokes all dressed identical in black tops. These are the Russians.
