Could you do a video with Chris to help those who have the NLV already please. It is quite daunting having your visa and knowing you need to find a place to live quickly to get your padron to get your TIE. I am arriving in August within 4 weeks of my visa end date and have lots of questions that don’t seem to be discussed anywhere else: How long do I have, to get a lease knowing my visa runs out in 4 weeks? I am not sure where I want to settle so I suppose I have to choose somewhere initially and get a rental property with lease ASAP? If I haven’t found a suitable place and my “one month to make an appointment for the TIE within arrival” is running out, what can I do? Can I book the appointment without having an address or Padron yet? What websites are best for updated available properties? Does one agent show you them all or do you need to deal with individual ones? If you rent from someone direct, can they give a suitable lease? Do you actually need a lease or is it a rental agreement? What qualifies? Do you need to get a lawyer involved regarding the lease? What is the minimum time you can rent for which would allow time for the Padron/TIE process, 3 or more months? Do the authorities want to see a particular period on the lease? I don’t want to be stuck in something I don’t love for any longer than I need to? Once you have your TIE are there similar stresses for the renewal in 1 years time? Am I best To go to a non touristy place where rents may be more available in August/September. Can you suggest any areas with a good ex Pat community where rentals are a plenty? What mistakes have people made and what not to do? Bonus question: I believe you need to be in Spain at least 183 days each year to renew your visa. When does the 183 day requirement clock start: The day you arrived or the day you got your padron or maybe TIE? Do any prior visits prior to getting your NLV count towards the 183 days Or do the 18
Hi, it’s worth looking through the videos and live shows on this channel because lots of those questions have been answered. Especially on the live show with Chris. He’s on next Saturday so if you’re free to join in on the live chat I’ll put the question of timing everything to him then and see how many of your questions we can get through. I’ll answer one basic question though, as the partner of an EU citizen you’re not bound by Schengen rules so you don’t need to leave. You’re supposed to have applied to be a resident within 3 months of arrival in Spain but that nothing to do with Schengen. See you on the live chat.
I have watched dozens and dozens of videos, there has to be a faster way to get answers 😢 you have answered some of my questions on the live show before which was much appreciated. I didn’t have these questions at the time. My wife is also a British citizen so we are bound by the 90 day rule.

@@MEDITATION990 it’s difficult to get quick answers but especially so in August. Brains and businesses are shut down at the moment
