The Alice has always been performance art. In one state or another. Love it or leave it
Saw him 3 x . Spokane ,and Vegas. Not in the ,70 s or ,80s in prime. But even recently in his ,70 s . He put other bands to shame

how can u relay to us what u gotta feel alice?
Alice was too real of an artist at this point of his career.
Around the Flush the Fashion time. Which by the way was an excellent album. Just not liked because of Alice tapping into the new wave but HE PULLED IT UP QUITE NICELY. I believe he states he does not even remember recording in this Era. But the Flush the Fashion show he did in Robertson stadium in Houston was excellent. He did not seem this messed up. Remember a pretty excellent performance though he was sporting the new wave look. Don't recall him looking this wasted. Glad he got turned around from this period in his life.
This is the Special Forces tour, which explains some of your questions. He was more wasted
" I may be lonely
But I'm never alone
And the night may pass me by
But I'll never cry..."
Damn, rough days for him... check out my cover of this gem, guys: ua-cam.com/video/8QB9zyCNWJo/v-deo.html
Hombres G - No lloraré .....
too much drugs bro cant hit the note!
Drugs, heavy touring, and the simple fact it's live. Too many people today seem to think a live performance must match the studio recording, which is unrealistic. Coop was certainly fried during this period, but rather than be disappointed, I'm amazed he could even perform to this level.
I thought it was a great version of the song. I don't think it's that he can't sing it "normally"--he's just adding some of the attitude and weirdness to his voice from this era of Alice
He looks like Katharine Hepburn and his phrasing and tone are terrible
