Hey bro! Iove these RDF 140gr. Rem 783 6.5cm out of the box stock rifle, put an old can on it, cheap Nikko Sterling scope and I get 2745fps 41.5gr H4350 and 26thou off the lands. 0.384inch groups at 100m. This bullet really shoots well. even at other seating heights its still sub 3/4 inch at 100m . The can I have on does affect the speed generally by 70-150fps depending on load and bullet. Thanks for the video!!
Sub-Moa with all the groups is really still a good range day. Sure groups could be better, velocities & SDs more consistent but not a terrible outcome. Thanks.
43.0 fps went down? Something is not right, same thing happen to me but was Labradar in to many ocasión my friend send his for warranty ( in my tikka 42.8 is the sweet spot into the lands and love that powder but barrel get pretty hot quick. I enjoy your videos 👍🏼
I purchased the same rifle but in 308 Winchester 20” barrel shooting factory load for $25.99 per box but a slight problem with the trigger too light increased to 2.0 pounds. But again it put three rounds into a .495” group, but bore scoping it chattering throughout the barrel - returned to Savage for repair work, I will hear from Savage the status of the .repair come Friday.
Yes I would say it is a problem off and on. The way I work the bolt doesn't help. I am often trying to eject the empty case and catch it all in the same motion. They make a kit I believe to beef up the reliability of ejection.

Keep going in charge weight. Staball started to shine at 43.5g with 143eldx in my 24" 5R

I’m using the 140 RDF with h4350 and getting consistent .40 groups. Really pleased with the Nosler.
This combination of my RPR produced an SD of 1, yes it was a 1! 43.5 gr. for 2829 fps 26 inch barrel.
Don't worry too much about velocity SD, in my experience, low SD does not always produce tight groups.

If it shoots half inch groups why are you having it repaired?
Kinda same thing I’ve seen with staball in 6.5 creedmoor and 243. The only good SDs I’ve gotten with it are with 130 gr bullet and 45 - 45.5 gr powder
Try reloader 17 . It works well for me . H4350 works good to.
I got a pound of that powder a while back but haven't tested it yet.
Enjoyed watching. Considering purchasing one of those rifles, spent case extraction looked a little weak at time. Is that an issue with that model?

A 45 fps increase across 1.2 grains seems pretty normal to me.
Try a mag primer
I find my best loads are almost always at 95 to 105 percent case fill.
This does seem to often be true. Specifically with ball powders.
typical rdf groups couple here couple there...but there's plenty of them no issue finding RDF's...and there is a reason for that
👍🏼🙏♥️🤟🏽
