Lady Thor's Shocking Classic Origins - The Marriage No One Wanted - Thordis

- Thor has not always been a title held by Thor himself. Over at Marvel comics others have wielded Mjlonir and found themselves taking on the mantle of Thor. One such person is long time Thor love interest Jane Foster. While some fans may be aware of her turn as Thor from the (at the time of typing) upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder, there is a longer history there. One that extends all the way back to the 70s and Marvel What If? When Classic Marvel comics asked the question, what if Jane Foster had found the hammer of Thor? The answer she becomes Thordis (yes Thordis not Lady Thor)The story promises a shocking twist will you see it coming? Find out here on Casually Comics!

Obviously, Jane should have married Lois Lane,
...aaaaaand Sasha loves your comment. Which surprises exactly _nobody_ anywhere in the multiverse. A blind worm tunneling through the muck at the bottom of the sea on Earth 788 says "Yup. _That's_ on-brand."
@@tarmaque …what
@@savitoon2287 If you have to explain the joke, it's either not a very good joke or your audience is a bit thick.
Then she’d be “Jane Lane”. ☺️
Crossover of the century
This comic was one of my favorites from the line, but that sudden "Oh, and Odin isn't married in this universe so he's not cheating" Editor's Note always made me laugh for how blatant it was.
In the mythology, Odin actually had 3 wives, and was known to...indulge himself with others from time to time, so even if he had still been married, proposing to Jane would not have been out of character from a mythological standpoint (although probably a bit TOO progressive tor comics in the 70's).
Krishna: *quietly and calmly sips tea in the corner*
@@EVENINGWOLF666Gods of mythology tend to be horndogs case and point Zeus (different mythology but still) so it would be extremely in character for Odin to be like yah I just feel like having another wife and honestly it would probably be even more accurate if he just made her a concubine cause gods tend to be not super nice to mortals even if they perform an act of heroism.
"New phone. Who Dis?"
"Thordis."
I remember reading this and having Jane abruptly marry Odin was a sharp plot twist for me, even if Odin was a swinging bachelor in this universe. A better ending would have been a broken hearted Jane becomes a Valkyrie.
I love the idea of Jane as Thor, but I also hate the idea of stripping away Thor’s real name and giving it to someone else as a title. Always have.
"Whomever holds this stetoscope shall have the powers of Donald Blake, Md."
@Fenrir All of them calling themselves Thor feels unnecessary. Thor is his name that Odin gave him when he was born, it's not some identity he picked up.
@Fenrir Yeah I know it's a marketing ploy and I think it's a stupid one from an in universe point of view.
@@oliveragag8576 Donald Blake literally got the name by finding a hammer is the thing
@@creature6715 Yeah and it was retconned that Blake WAS Thor just without his memories. From then on people have just known Thor as Thor not Blake. That's how it's been treated like for years and that's what most fans treat Thor like.
My favorite of these is "What If...Rogue Possessed the Power of Thor" which actually has Rogue become Thor. Characters act way more in character and the plot follows its own logic.
So you're saying... Mjollnir went rogue....?
No, but with godly powers can Rogue finally hold someone's hand without killing them?
@@UJEvans Unfortunately, she's still wearing the gloves. However, I wouldn't be surprised if she learned how to due to Asgardian technology and the effect of Thor on her mind.
@@holyrod2001 That's one of my fav What If along with "What if Doctor Doom Became Sorcerer Supreme," it's one of those ones where you want to see more of that world.
@@PrincessOzaline Very much yes! That one was just such a wild ride
Being Norwegian , it's great to find out that Odin was a player. He took Thor's girl friend.
I think it'd be cool to cover more of these "What If?"s that became canon at some point. Explore their impact and how the execution changed like "What if the Clone had lived" or "What if Hulk became and off-world warrior/barbarian" or the like. Could be a fun playlist.
If Thor isn't a name, but a title, then logically that would mean none of the Norse have actual names, since Odin, Loki, and Sif would all be "titles" as well.
Kinda breaks the mantle 'logic' don't it?
But don't think about it, "Just consume product and get excited for next product"(Jay, RLM).
You just know that people would try to use "Utgard-Loki" as justification for Loki being a mantle.
@@chrisbaker8533 No, it doesn't "break" the mantle logic--it _follows_ it to its logical conclusion. Granted, it's a damn weird conclusion to come to, but it is logical and consistent. And a potentially interesting notion. Mr. Fantastic could suddenly become Odin, or Deadpool could become Loki! Sadly, I doubt they'll take that route. ☺
Oh, that is fascinating. So many plot bunnies popped into my mind.
@@xtifr Mysterio could become Loki.
Thordis sounds like a better name, it gives Jane more pertinency as a female hero and less of some offshoot of a male hero like the name Lady Thor though a wholly different name would have made the character her own but I see why they needed to mention Thor to keep the continuity with the hammer.
I am not too keen on the idea of marrying off Jane, the idea of going back to Earth and being her own hero and maybe finding someone else was much better.
Funny you mentioned Loki and Sif. Apparently that scene from the Loki show where he gets beat up for cutting her hair off happens after a night of passion between the two, according to the showrunner.
I was huge into Loki and Sif back in the early days of the MCU, good times lol
That’s straight outta the mythology. Getting your hair shaved was a punishment for loose morals, so the implication is that he might have tricked her into doing the nasty with him and then cut her hair off while she was sleeping. Or maybe he just snuck in and took her hair to give a false impression of that other stuff. Thor and Sif are super upset about it, but Thor either doesn’t get it, doesn’t fall for it or doesn’t care about the infidelity angle, because he and Sif are fine. They just both really want to murder Loki.
I started reading OG Thor comics a while back and Blake's constant self deprecation for his disability was pretty hard to read at times.Especially when I got invested in his story. It often felt like the comic was saying that because of his mild disability he wasn't allowed to be loved or that he was lesser. I found this in early Daredevil too. I know it's all melodrama and gets better over time but it sometimes felt like watching a friend hurt themselves over something insignificant.
I have to say my favorite lady Thor was Storm. Loki decided to mess with the X-Men and bring them to Asgard trying to make Storm the next Thor and replace his brother who people had assumed had died.
Eh...That wasn't Storm being given Thor's hammer, tho; Loki commissioned a brand new hammer with the same powers that was Storm's alone (during the period when Storm had lost her powers, so it was a great temptation).
The Iron Man flippantly quitting the Avengers as a running gag never disappoints
Honestly, I can very much see Lady Sif saying screw it and going for Jane, since Jane’s actions as Thordis were more in line with the Thor she knew. I feel like that could’ve been a factor in the story had this been remade at a later time (a la the multiple “Conan in modern day” stories).
I think that giant-man being in love with jane is kind of a twist on how in the early issues of avengers wasp was supposed to be in love with thor as well (although we don't talk about that)
That is simply not true.
Lady Sif is really miss-steal-your-man in this one. 😂 Oden is also here for Thor's sloppy seconds. Think this plot in this one is kind of fun if only for the absurd ending.
Anytime i hear Thordis my brain only thinks of TARDIS😭
Well how _else_ do you think the god of thunder would travel in time?
@@timeliebe Nah, it think it was some bad Asgardian ale.
I always liked the Donald Blake idea of Thor, but my biggest take away from this is that Sith's classic outfit is the most basic superhero costume ever and I love it.
Sith? Don't you mean Sif?
The early days of Marvel had a chaotic energy that sometimes-produced amazing results and sometimes produced things like the tangled mess which is "how does this enchantment work and who is Don Blake anyway?" The origin story works well enough if you assume that Don Blake is just a guy who happened to find the hammer, but the instant you add "and he was Thor all along" the whole thing ceases to make logical sense.
IMO the MCU did the whole Worthy of Lifting Mjolnir gaining the Power of Thor correctly by having Cap gain the power without transforming into a Version of Thor ( Maybe Vision also , hard to say he handed back to Thor so quickly)…so it will be Very Interesting to see how they work it with Jane becoming Thor, Lady Thor, or Thordis…Slightly surprised that You did not mention EARTHX when Loki convinced Odin to Humble Thor by making Him Female ( Sorry Ladies , not My Idea) …Keep Up The Outstanding Work Sasha 🖖🏾
I always preferred the name "Thora", but maybe that's just because I like the actress! Was kinda hoping Sasha would get into Loki's time as a female...or the roots of Marvel overwrought thought bubbles being in the Romance genre that many of its creators were involved in before Marvel rebranded itself! (and...I'm gonna need some more info on that "head of Don Blake" thing, please!)
When I first heard the name "Thora" I was fully on board with it, but when I heard the origin of it I was even more on board with it. (More than fully? Is that possible?) (I too like Thora Birch.)
@Fenrir You're way way off base here. The _actress_ Thora Birch got her name because her parents thought they were going to have a boy and chose the name "Thor." When she was born instead of changing the name they'd already chosen they simply added an "a" to the name.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the Norse gods, nor the female form of the name Thor.
@Fenrir If I understand it correctly, they're going with "Mighty Thor" to correlate with the comics and doubling down on the idea that "Thor" is a title, not a name. We'll see if Hemsworth-Thor starts going by "Odinsson" now, which I would agree with. But then again, what should I expect from Fenrir, Wolf god, and son of Loki and Angerboda? (Now THAT's a name!)
Something else that's worth mentioning about *What If* is that the original run from the 70s and 80s were *annual-sized* issues, despite being a monthly book. This gave the writers a lot more room to breathe, either adding a prologue or including a back-up story to give you more bang for your buck. The run from the 90s onward (including the recent one-shots) settled for a standard size, which I think hurts them a bit when stuff like the "here's how the original history went" bit are gone.
Actually a lot of the original run was bi-monthly. Just letting you know.
@@rn6312 Well, thanks for informing me.
They were not annual sized.
@@glennwatson3313 Oh, come on- those issues were *definitely* thicker than their companions.
@@CrisisComics They were thicker. I dont know if annual sized, but i have them in a big omnibus and they're definitely larger than the comics at the time
Took me some time, but I actually really like the title "The Mighty Thor" for Jane, it's simple, and equal to OG Thor. I think Thordis works if... I'd don't know, Thor was from a universe where he was originally a woman, like Sylvie in Loki.
I've known about the weird marriage ending for several years now, but what never crossed my mind till now... Why not Balder? He's brave, he's beautiful, he's a catch, and if he's not around or dead in main 616, then make him a thing here... Or Odin sent him to the Helhiem, so get himself a newly created Goddess lol
Which is why with all honesty Jane being Valkyrie now makes more sense than Thor. Thor himself always had power the hammer helped focus it.
I detested Jane Foster Thor because they did the ending I predicted. They wasn't gonna kill her off, they knew the whole time and just let her suffer with the cancer. It was so tacky I couldn't defend it no more.
@Fenrir there's been a few people who became Thor after getting Mjolnir (or even without it) years before Jane.
@Fenrir No, that's just how you happen to interpret it.
@Fenrir "-to me."
Thordis is the version of Thor who lays waste to her enemies with wicked burns & call outs in Rap songs.
I love Lady Thor, but this continuity is pretty intriguing. I would have loved to read more stories in this continuity
Worthy in the comics: Thor, Jane Foster, Thunderstrike, Beta Ray Bill, Throg, Steve Rogers
Worthy in the comics in cross-overs: Superman, Wonder Woman
Worthy in the MCU: Thor, Jane Foster, Steve Rogers, Vision
Am I missing any?

Wasn't Superman technically only "Worthy in the emergency contingency" rather than standard worthy?
Per Wiki:
Roger "Red" Norvell[46] (a deliberate ruse by Odin)
Beta Ray Bill[47]
Buri (also known as Tiwaz, Thor's great-grandfather)[48]
Captain America in his "The Captain" role[49]
Eric Masterson[50]
Bor (Thor's grandfather)[51]
Loki[52][53]
Jane Foster[54]
The Destroyer[55]
Squirrel Girl[56]
Black Panther (of Avengers 1,000,000 B.C.)[57]
Eddie Brock (with help from the Enigma Force)[58]
There are some who have kinda wielded it like Moon Knight.
And, using the multiverse in-cannon many others have been depicted. (That's still Comics in cannon, just not the central universe)
Vision is not Worthy, he's a sentient machine. He can only lift the hammer but not unlock its power.
Hela
Of course she knew she could spin the hammer around and start to fly once she let it "go" while holding it. I mean, that's just obvious. Science! It's just how things work
Since this is a what if the surprise twist should be that Jane Foster with her new godhood was able to detect being watched by the Watcher. She does all sorts of things knowing he is watching her until many issues later he realizes what is going on and they fall in love.
This ending is so random i actually kinda liked it, getting with your love interest's dad after he rejects you is an incredibly weird and funny concept. I would like if you reviewed some of those moderd and controversial lady thor comics, finally bringing some nuance into the fights over the quality of the writing. Also, i actually like the name thordis, goofy but cute
@5:29 "Norway: Come for the beautiful fjords and intense self-loathing!" 😄
A møøse once bit my sister. It was nasti.
I'm really surprised they didn't make a what if episode based on this comic to see how people react to jane as thor.
That's going to be one of the biggest elements of the new Thor movie. They don't want to pay it off in the series. It would ruin the novelty in the movie.
Doing a character spotlight on Donald Blake would be cool. This video was great I really enjoy your style and delivery
Enjoyed your breakdown, and in response to your question about the Thunder God's name - I think it's both a name AND a title. It started as the name of the Thor Odinson, the God of Thunder, and as tales of his feats spread the name became a title people bestowed upon people who performed Thor-like feats or displayed abilities attributed to the original Thor.
13:10 "I remember when Thor had to flip Fandral to stop him from propositioning him"
LMAO! That line made me howl! :)
When I read this (when it came out) I remember being glad that Jane didn't use the name "Thor." After all, Thor is his name, not his title. Take away almost all his power, and he's still Thor, the God of Sparklies.
Per Marvel, it's both name and title. Even when you take Jane Foster out of the equation - most of the time someone else gets his hammer/outfit/powerset they get Thor in or part of their name.
Sort of like when Doctor Doom became the Infamous Iron Man. Tony Stark is Iron Man, Thor is Thor. Doctor Doom became Iron Man, Other characters become Thor.
Marvel plays it both ways - sometimes it's Thor sometimes it's The Powers of Thor X-D
@@brutalbeard9441 No that is not true. Beta Ray Bill did not become Thor. Cap did not become Thor. Thunderdstrike did not become Thor. Anyone who can lift the hammer does not automatically take Thor's birth name. The get the power of Thor.
@@glennwatson3313 I was perhaps wrong in saying "most of the time" but it's still true that Marvel plays it both ways.
Throg wasn't named Throg before gaining the power. Volstagg took the name War Thor, and in Secret Wars all the merged characters who looked like Thor took the name Thor (even though they were Groot, Gamora, etc).
Marvel uses it both as a name and title.
@@glennwatson3313 But Thunderstrike _was_ called Thor. When the orginal Thor was missing/dead(I’m not sure), Eric Masterson, took on Thor’s name and was Thor for a time before Thor himself returned.
@@glennwatson3313 yep what foldabotZ said, Thor being a title for the wielder of Mjolnir, or even non-wielders of Mjolnir, like Red Roger Norvell, has been a thing for a long time. Red Roger was from the 70s for example.
I'm really excited to see how 1. How Mjolnir was even put back together after being destroyed in Ragnarok. 2. How it came into Jane possessed. 3. What been going on with her after confirming breaking up with Thor sometime before the event of Ragnarok.
From what I heard, Odin’s enchantment is still in effect after his death, and when Jane touches one of the shards gives her the powers.
@@luigiboi4244 But that makes little sense as the hammer was, according to ragnorak, just a 'foci' for thor, and not the actual source of his power.
We are of course talking cape movies, which are based on comics, and as sasha constantly demonstrates, there is little to no consistency, continuity or canon in comics, so why expect anything like that in the movies.
I love how they literally throw away the 'the hammer don't make you a god' or the 'you are the god of thunder, not of hammer' things XD
Being the "God of Hammers" sounds like you can do some major damage.
Can I just give Sasha props for her restraint in not having the thumbnail say, "New Powers - Thor Dis?"
I always imagined that the hammer delivered the POWERS of Thor to whoever was worthy, not the identity. My proof for this is one of my favorite Thor characters, Beta Ray Bill. He picked up the hammer, but he never took on Thor's personality or memories. What I always thought was weird about that was how the enchantment on the hammer STAYED after Thor first picked it up as Don Blake. Like, it started to feel a little like Green Lantern's ring. "Oh, Don's not around to be Thor? No worries, this random person over here is worthy. Now they're Thor."
Nothing weird with becoming the stepmother of the man you love after he chooses a woman you babysat
Kinda reminds me of that Supergirl story where Linda Danvers marries Superman after losing the Supergirl identity to Kara...
“In fact, why don’t we disband while we have the chance?”
Me: Oh hell. It’s back. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed buying this off the spinner rack when this came out. Clean artwork and lots of story twists. What if 3 still seems the best of the first 20 issues.
As a effectively a full on Thor noob this feel like a good jump in point and reading list with the editorial notes if you aren't familiar with the lore with how much attention they give to "setting the scene" but due to that in turn makes the ending feel really rushed from Donald getting with Lady Sif to fighting to die for her alongside Gods, Loki getting wrapped up fast, Jane remembering her love for Donald, and Odin and Jane getting married (idk this one really weirds me out how she goes from son to father but fits with the antics these mythologies got up to and like you mentioned, Sif bouncing on Thor's knee).
As for name I actually prefer Thordis as it differentiates and avoids the confusion of name/mantle as much, sidenote though Eric had it on point going with Thunderstrike instead (plus I just love Eric) or even Beta Ray Bill to an extent.
Shocking romance: Thor choses to abandon his relationship with Lady Sif for not being able to move past his image of how he saw her as a kid bouncing on his knee. After the rejection she finds comfort in another man who faced rejection, Fandral.
If Lois was in the Marvel Universe we all know that she would try to marry Odin. And then be slapped by the Phoenix Force.
Wow, I had no idea this existed!
Also, "Thordis" just makes me think of the TARDIS if it wielded Thor's hammer.
I think it’s funny that so many things that are “new” in marvel in the 2000s are just things marvel played with back in the day
agreed not all needs need to be shocking. an STI for example is one of the things that does not need to be a shocking surprise.
I just love checking out your bookshelf while listening to you talk about the coolest comics. Like this What If, and thanks for helping me win a bet that Loki originally had blonde hair. Cool Odin voice.
That record scratch during that Sif bubble was *chef's kiss* hahaha. Also that ending seemed mad uncomfortable as its saying "hey you never got the guy but his dad will suffice"...
You were right, I was not prepared for that twist.
After this video I remembered having this comic when I was a kid. Went through my old boxes and eventually found it. Didn't realize it became worth so much. So thanks for sparking a memory!
I love Jane Foster with Thor’s power. Hate the concept of a new character using an established name. (Lazy writing?) Not you Miles. You’re adorable.
It's funny to see how Loki reacts to Thordis, considering how fluid Loki's gender is in mythology.
Sif realises that Thor was too much of a father figure to her and marries Odin instead
new inscription: "If you ain't Thor, this hammer ain't your...s"
"Which hammer is yours?"
"It's the one that says Bad Motherf---er on it!"
Would work
When I first heard Christian Bale would be playing a mystery character in Thor 4, I was hoping it would be Donald Blake. Feel there’s still a place for Blake, in either the comics or movies. You’ve got a blonde, beach bodied deity who spends his down time as a top flight surgeon with a limp. That’s so absurd it’s awesome.
Love the new look
"Captain America" and "Iron Man" are noms de guerre, so it's possible for multiple people to use them. But Thor is a proper name. Saying Jane Foster is the new Thor is like saying she's the new Steve Rogers.
Once again, the Google ad algorithm has a sense of humor! 😂 At 11:37 with the line about bouncing her on his knee, a Google ad comes on singing, "It's alright!"
Loki: My brother can NOT turn into a female!
Lady Loki From The Future: Allow me to introduce myself to...MYSELF!
Jane Foster as Thor is like calling Marc Spector Khonshu or Johnny Blaze Zarathos
Can we talk about Thor girl? The alien girl who turns herself into a girl Thor because she admired him. She popped up during the King Thor story arc before Ragnarok and she appears in the avengers incitive comics then just leaves earth in a Fear itself tie in. Also I didn't like what they did if Donald Blake in the newer Thor run, it was a fun story but the setup annoyed me a lot.

We come for the comics...we stay for the salt. With regard to editors notes, when I first started reading comics back in the mid/late 70's they were all over the place. AT different times both Stan Lee and Julius Schwartz had been asked about them and both said basically the same thing, essentially their take was that you never know which comic is going to be someone's first and this helps to keep them from getting too frustrated if something is mentioned in story that happened in an earlier issue, or in a different title. It helps the reader understand what is going on, and gives them a reference point if they want to go back and find the other story and read it for themselves. Personally I was glad to have them when I first started reading comics (especially with Avengers, and Legion of Superheroes, man THOSE were some rabbit holes to be sure. I actually bought a lot of back issues at my local comic shop because of reference from those editors notes.
I like what they did in that Hulk TV-movie. Donald Blake found the hammer and uses it to control Thor that is his own person.
I find it funny Loki is shocked at Thor's gender flip, meanwhile in Norse Mythology he becomes pregnant with a horse. That would be my twist Loki becomes pregnant.
I think Smurfs has already set the precedent. Thorette.
This was a bizarre trip. Honestly, the only problem with the more modern Jane Foster as Thor stories was in the act of Thor giving up the hammer and the name. Not that he did it, but the way it was handled and Fury's whisper never being able to pay off in a way that it would deserve. Also Jane deserves her own hero name distinct from Thor or Thorsdis, like Thunderstrike got.
"There is much here that I, too, do not understand -- like how my brother is now my sister."
Well, that line is funny in hindsight thanks to Al Ewing. Though come to think of it, mythology fans would probably roll their eyes upon the issue's release anyway.
Really looking forward to seeing Mighty Thor Jane Foster in live action! Arguably the most powerful Thor there is.
They really should not make Jane the new "Thor". Thor is a name, not a title.
Thordis is okay though.

After that bit about Sif on Thor's knee I think Tony should disband the Avengers lest he start balancing everybody on his knee. Also come on Marvel Jane was Thor so a bit of JanexSif wouldn't hurt anybody.
Odin giving Donald Blake back his true identity of Thor actually makes sense if you think about it. He believed he was just a mortal man and he willingly went to Asgard to fight along side Sif to defend Asgard. How could he not be considered worthy after something like that?
Donald blake:
"I'm not LAME anymore!"
poor Donald. Even he knows everyone hates him.
I think that line about “bouncing on the knee” was just clumsily written. She was talking about Odin bouncing her on his knee. She and Thor are definitely the same age.

"Thor can only be Thor!" Screams the internet even though a dirth of material where other people become Thor. Red Norvill and Eric Mastetson being the best examples.
Back in the day I had hoped that they'd try at least an issue or two (or a What If?) where Blake got the powers, and even muscled up, but didn't become Thor. Just to finally see him get be a superhero and see him have to deal with how the Avengers interact with him.
Sasha: "Jane Foster as Thor, so now what?"
Me: Kind of sums up Marvel around the 2010s and the direction they decided to go with the concept.
" (at the time of typing)" Made me giggle.
I just remember a What If? story where Rogue stole the powers and Mjonir during a fight between the Avengers and the Brotherhood.
I kind of think Thor-dis hooking up with Giant-man would've been... poetic? Given Norse Mythology, (thank you Neil Gaiman,) and how often Thor's stories involve giants, I think this would've been interesting. (And then when Hank slaps his spouse... Boom Boom Pow!
As always thank you so very much for the video.
Your hair for this episode made me watch the Wonder Twins episode!
Shocking ending: Odin decides this is too confusing, no one is worthy, and turns them all into frogs, except for Loki who is now an alligator.
You know the original myth involving Mjolnir said that the hammer was so powerful that anyone who wield it and wasn’t strong enough would be destroy, so only Thor could have handle it. Yet there was a story involving Thor and Loki getting back the hammer for the King of the Frost Giant since he could also handle it without fail, and this involve Thor wearing a dress in the process. OSP video for more information (ua-cam.com/video/73y4oUG_YgA/v-deo.html)
Jane Foster also wielded the hammer in the AVENGER ASSEMBLE show and was gifted the Thunderstrike mace, and she named herself after it except that was the only time we her as Thunderstrike. Weirdly enough after the WAR OF THE REALM event she actually became a Valkyrie. Also I think the name Thunderous, Thundress, Thundess, Thunderess, Thunddress, or something like that (a mixture of GODDESS and THUNDER). Finally I enjoy the Jane FosTHOR saga (only read the Pre-SECRET WAR and Volume One of the Mighty Thor run).
At one time I was hoping for a team of alternate Avengers based on What If? Comics. A team of Lady Thor, Rick Jones Teen Hulk, Iron Giant Man, and Iron Wasp, and maybe something else we saw like Mechanical Johnny Storm, or something with the Black Panther.
2:55 I heard this 3 times befor I realized that "Saturn-Land" isn't a place.
One of the things that bothered me the most about “mighty (lady) Thor in the newer stuff is that Thor is a given name and there are a lot of derivatives of it that are still used today. Thora, Thordis, Thorunn, etc. So it wouldn’t have been hard to find a female version of the name.
Also, I knew that the old Thor had him be a doctor with Jane a nurse, but I didn’t know how or why he had a secret identity.
"Thor marries Loki"
That's not a shocking twist ending, that's the expected trajectory for a plurality of MCU Thor fanfics.
That was a pleasant look Thordis. Thanks, Sasha...and old school Marvel
