And I also feel like there are basically two types of guitarists. 1) those that see exceptional talent, get discouraged & wanna burn their shit. And 2) those that see it & get super inspired.

Awesome instructional video. I still have all my VHS instructional videos from the early 90s. Paul Gilbert, Frank Gambale, Eric Johnson and Al Di Meola. The things is, it was the little tab book that came with the video that was synonymous with gold. Even though you can find all of those exercises if not most online I can't bring myself to throw it out. I still have tons of guitar one and guitar world magazines.

Wes Paul Unoccupied tbh I think both of Paul’s videos are pretty good/explanatory for someone who is in the intermediate category, especially it someone has a bit of scalar knowledge. But I know there are some totally horrible ones too. But definitely not catering to the beginners.

Whoever wants to learn they will. A couple of my top guitar heroes never had any video lessons back then in 80-90's so I studied their tricks from CDs, bootlegs, rare live videos which weren't numerous 13 years ago on UA-cam. And I still seem to learn from them little by little.
I've watched this video and found a couple of good things to implement into my playing. I just feel that alternate picking isn't something I'm good at so I might need to improve it after almost 15 years of legato or economy-ish picking, haha.
