For the first time ever I got off my bahookie instead of watching You clean! I got 3 areas of my bedroom decluttered in that time, go me! Summer clothes put away, bottom of the wardrobe organised, beside the bed dexluttered on both sides! Thanks for your motivation Diane! Niamh in Dublin

Used this video to clean the top of the bookcase in my room. It wasn't terrible and for that very reason I never seemed to get around to it. I did it 5 minutes ago. I could weep! It made such a difference 😊

Inspirational as usual, got off my butt and while watching managed to sort out my bedroom hotspot, my dresser.... clothes returned to drawers/hangers, pens put back in the office, loose change put in the tin and outfit organised for tomorrow. That’s it for today but I’ve got plans for tomorrow in this zone too 😉
As soon as you said the Master bedroom thought ok I’ll run the robot vacuum while I watch Diane...finished video floor cleaned, then dusted...easy peasey

Pretty bedding Diane. I am lucky enough to have a lovely young girl who is coming to help me on Wednesday. I can,t get on top of my cupboards now. The dust is unbelievable here so windows could be done outside every week and varandahs could be done daily but l have other things I would rather do. A quick sweep of the varandahs daily will do unless I include them in the zone when they get special treatment. My cleaner pulls everything out but she's so fast I let her carry on. She's young super fit and the money helps her. If I want my hair done she will even do that. I will just continue with my morning and evening routines for the other days this week. I already changed sheets and did part of home blessing today but will enjoy my cleaner this week. I so enjoy your videos. I,m really going to part with a few clothes this week .Lots of love from Margaret

You can find the current Flylady missions here flylady.net/c/sp.php#missions I generally just pick a couple of the detailed cleaning tasks and set my timer for 15 minutes. Or spend 5 minutes decluttering a shelf or drawer. Make sure that your Routines are done FIRST before you start zone work 😀

Frost is predicted for tonight, so our day was pulling spent annuals, trimming, and Alan mowing. We are drying sunflower heads for the birds for winter food. I plan on making some willow herb wreaths for seasonal gifts later on this week. Doing my lol! Tonight is ranch schnitzel with pickled red cabbage and fried apples. Easy!

Hi Diane, I've been watching your channel for a few weeks now. I tried the fly lady system a few years ago but i could not get into it. I'm afraid I am still not really doing the first 2 steps but since I deal with a lot of clutter, I am greatly encouraged by your reminders that much can be accomplished in 5 minutes. I just couldn't get started lately with putting away or getting rid of certain clutter. With your enthusiasm and reminders I am moving forward since late last week and seeing progress. Of course I don't only do housework for 5 minutes daily, lol but the 5 minutes are helping me deal with those things that I never want to attack until I have more time. Thank you.
I admire any woman who can stand up to do hair and make-up!! I wish I could do that but I have to sit on my bahookie because I take too long😅 But I do combine dressing table with a desk so it serves a dual purpose- one less surface to dust! You are lucky to not have a dressing table taking up space in the bed or bathroom!! I just love how quickly you can put your hair and makeup together, you make it seem so easy and you always look so pretty and attractive❤️Elizabeth!

Diane, are the blinds on the windows from IKEA? Also can you clarify as to when you start to do major declutter? I’m pretty good with baby steps and morning routine but a lot of my spaces need decluttered. Hubby and I are also in the middle of 2 huge projects that must be finished within the month. Landscape redo to protect our drain field and major overhaul on our garage-it’s full from 2 rooms that were cleaned out so our beautiful daughter #1 and precious 2 y.o. Grandson could come after divorce. I’m super overwhelmed and also have fibromyalgia but I have been so motivated since I found you. I feel like my life is in total chaos but I’m determined to do this. On top of it all I do watch the wee one 3 days a week. You are such a blessing to so many.
Hi Sherry! The blinds are from Luxaflex (but I wouldn't recommend them). If you are going to do a major declutter, remember the basics...that your Morning/Evening routines are done, that you have planned something to eat, and that you take regular breaks (for example, work on the project for 45 minutes, then take a glass of water and rest for 15 minutes). Good luck!

Diane, when do you pull furniture out and dust/vacuum behind? Example would be the bed or the dresser
I pull mine out maybe every three months or so. Decided how often YOU feel you need to do it, and then add it to your Detailed Cleaning list for the zone, as a reminder 😃
The is the one zone I do all my cleaning on the one day only because my husband works nights so the rest of the week he is in here asleep and I would never do it in the evening if I left it. So on a Monday I just go in spend about 40 mins and give it a clean. I do the declutter in the evening.

Diane I love your blinds what is the name bland and where did you get them I have alot of french doors and windows
Hi Vickie! Our blinds are from Luxaflex but I wouldn't actually recommend theem (they are not very hardwearing).
