I just retired Jan 2nd after 36 years of nursing. I now take care of my elderly parents. No more twelve hour shifts, weekend or holidays except for family needs.
@happyinharned9583 no, I stopped about 10 years ago to stay home with my family. Unfortunately, my arthritis was getting too bad for me to continue working 12 hors shifts. 😢 I miss it very much. 😊

I agree with you on the laundry thing! I hate folding. I used to wash and dry and fold every other day, but since my knee replacements I have a hard time going up and down stairs. But to my relief my son does it all for me. He washes and drys all the clothes then brings them to me to fold! So I can’t complain. I love watching your videos they make me smile. I so needed this video. Since my husband went into the hospital 4 days ago, I've been living on adrenaline. Even when I got the great news today that he's recovering and coming home tomorrow, I still couldn't relax. Your video was just what the doctor ordered! Tom is such a character 😂 he always makes us laugh. Well I've cooked pizza and nuggets and fries, tots, spaghetti, fries taters and sausage. Had that and grits over the memorial weekend. Be prepared, ours here is close to $15/lb……and the whole ham upwards of $100, depending on size.

Have you ever tried cutting a hole in the corner of a large ziplock bag and piping the egg in like frosting? I also garnish mine with a green olive,delicious!🙌🏻

When I make deviled eggs a put my filling in a pastry tube bag with a decorator tip. They turn out so beautiful and everyone comments on how pretty they are. You might have to try it.

Hello friend.Thanks for video, just love ya. I am 64 yrs old and have to clean and wash/dry.fold little at a time. I was taught to make a bed the right way at age of 6 yrs old. My baby sitter older women taught me. When Mama found put I knew how to make a bed....Lordy I had to make all beds. lol

Walmart has deviled egg rubbermaid containers for travel. If you're interested... I have 4 of them, but for holidays, I'll do different kinds...1 sweet,1 dill,1 jalapeno. Hope you had an awesome Memorial Day bbq

Hi Valerie. I love deviled eggs. An easy way to fill the eggs is to put the yolk filling into a small ziplock bag and snip off the corner. Then you can pipe the filling into the egg cavity. Looks pretty too. Those pancakes look good. Think I'll have some for dinner. I'm in Vermont, so I'll have to use real Vermont maple syrup. Sometimes breakfast is good for supper time too! Nice to hear the "country ham" part about your Mom. I recently lost my Mom and i miss her cooking. Always made the best chicken fried steak.

We love to make stir fry on ours. We did steak, onion, summer squash, zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot blend. Then we did fried rice to which we added scrambled egg, sesame oil and soy sauce, seasoned to taste. Shrimp or chicken is great as well !
Love love our blackstone. Had for about 4 years. We have done what you have but did hot dogs the other night because too windy here in ohio for traditional campfire and they turned so good. We do breakfast every morning.

I'm sure you'll get this comment a lot but I always put the yolk filling into a zipper bag and snip the corner so I can pipe the filling into the whites like it was cake frosting.
That's the way I do mine too. It's a little difficult to do that if you put the pickle pieces in it, but otherwise, I squeeze the filling out of the corner of a plastic bag. My mom made hers like Valerie did...so it's however you are used to doing it. Tastes great, no matter what!

Fresh unwashed eggs will be good for a couple months on the counter In the fridge for several. You didn’t need to check those eggs.
I didn't realize they could sit out that long. I'm afraid I will always have to check eggs for freshness, though. I had a bad experience with a rotten egg one time when I was on a safari in Zimbabwe. Scarred me for life. 🤣😃🤗🥚🥚🥚

We took a flag to my husband's dad's grave and flowers to our mother's and grandparents graves. Then went to McDonald's. Knot my favorite place to eat, but it was nice being with my husband and granddaughter.

Omg, I love the name of this video! Everyone loves a group breakfast! My grandparents got married in 1916 at 8 am then went back to my great grandmother’s house and she cooked breakfast for everyone. Doesn’t that sound delightful!! I grew up on a lake with a large family. I’d love to go back for a day when mom cooked breakfast for all of us ❤

Reminds me of my childhood with my momma preparing for events. She was such a hardworking lady. Never complained about anything. Just full speed ahead with a smile. I miss her so much. Nothing beats the love of our parents. Tim is an example of the men we need in our lives. As females we have to realize that what we allow will continue and to allow anything other than a partner who is willing to do his/her part is not what we need. It’s called making the right choices for a partner. Seems like you succeeded… We also had a great holiday and kept those we have lost and those who are and have served in our forces in our prayers!

Every Memorial Day, my Civil War reenacting group partners with our local American Legion where we travel to four cemeteries in our rural community to give honors to those who have fallen. Afterwards my group always brings a bag lunch where we then have lunch at a local park together.

You could freeze those left over pancakes in the freezer and theyll be good for a while. I use relish in my eggs. Love it that way too. I usually do washer and dryer, then spread it out on couch, hubby folds it next morning. And we each put our own away. 😅

We spent the Saturday before Memorial Day replacing rotted subfloors in our hallway. I, so thankful that we can walk safely to our bedroom and laundry room.
My aunt and uncle owned and ran a Catfish restaurant. Watching him run their grill was like watching poetry in motion. My uncle has been gone years now...Thanks for bringing back memories of him working and enjoying life. 😊🥰
