fished that side twice. they make you pack up and leave at sundown and they're rude about it. I think if you were to move your car being on foot would not be a problem but you be pushing your chances. seen some large Barracuda caught there. Lots of bait around there usually. but I like there has not always been very consistent. I wouldn't exactly call it is amazing fishing spot we just happen to get lucky today. so on the other side I'm assuming you're talking about south of the inlet there is like a jetty or something. I've seen people fishing over there but I've never gone there myself. What's the fishing like? And what about parking? Looks like you have to walk up miles to get there?
mark rogge There's parking under the bridge, and it only costs a few dollars. I have fished the jetty quite a few times (although not recently) and the fishing is decent. I even managed to catch a hogfish once. If you go at night, there is a good chance for you to catch a snook or tarpon. At night, you're not allowed to park in the parking lot though, so you'll have to valet park your car in a nearby hotel. As for walking, it's only about 1/8 mile or less from the parking lot..
Most likely a nurse or ray, but either way, I am sure little man won't forget that fight. I have had a few broken hooks as well, try owner hooks, a bit pricier, but the thin gauge hooks don't break. I actually have a video of a similar experience on my page.
thanks for watching. Wasn't expecting a shark to take the bait. usually fish shark with much bigger hooks and heavier leader. everything has a breaking point in retrospect
live bait. Seen a lot of cadas caught there. Fished my whole life. No doubt what this was a large fish. Had 50lb power pro and drag locked nearly all the way down. Based on the run it was likely a bull shark.
Nice !!!!!! Good job buddy !!!!
Great job Ethan and Mark with this video. Great show, and good skills.
Great job kid you sure know what you’re doing
Rocks don't strip a hundred yards of line.
mark rogge some of them do if they are really hard lol
I usually fish on the other side of that chanel with the big cement pier/walkway. Is this side better? And where did you get the bluerunner?

Huge tarpon? Bull shark? Giant barracuda or grouper? WHAT DO YOU THINK???? It never jumped and we never got a look at it.
+mark rogge i fish there almost every day. it was probably either a nurse shark or a ray. what were u using for bait?
+miamiwax fought more like a shark than a ray. Bait was a small live jack. Weighted.
